YSRCP urges Guv to order CBI inquiry

YSR Congress Party accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of misusing the official and police machinery to eliminate his political opponents and demanded a CBI inquiry into the spate of murders in Anantapur district.A delegation of YSRCP  MPs, MLAs and other leaders led by party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Monday and submitted a memorandum to him. 

The memorandum among others drew to the attention of the Governor the “deteriorating law and order in Andhra Pradesh.” The YSRCP delegation apprised the Governor of various incidents that had taken places during the last few months wherein the party leaders and supporters were killed. The YSRCP leaders urged the Governor to institute a CBI investigation to put an end to “brutal killings” of persons opposed to the ruling party.
