YS Jagan deeksha on June 5, 6

Hyderabad, Upping the ante against TDP Government for its failures and apathy towards farmers, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would undertake two-day deeksha on June 5 and 6.

“TDP has no moral right to celebrate Vijaya yatra for completing one year in office as the term is littered with failure on all fronts and has evaded all the poll promises making a mockery of election manifesto.

To highlight the failures of the TDP Government during the one year, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will undertake two-day fast at a venue which will be in between Vijayawada and Guntur on June 5 and 6. Party leaders Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and Farmers’ Cell Convener MVS Nagi Reddy told reporters here on Sunday.

Instead of Vijaya yatra , TDP should observe Vyphalya (Failure) Yatra and it owes an explanation for going back on all the poll promises, more so the failure of waive all agriculture loans.

“Our Party President during the two-day deeksha will give a blow-by-blow account with full details and data as to how Chandrababu Naidu has fooled farmers and other sections of the people during and after the elections besides exposing his tall claims which lack feasibility. How the women groups, students, youth and employees are cheated will be revealed once again with full details.

TDP has no moral right to go ahead with the Victory Celebrations and the very purpose of manifesto was defeated with Chandrababu Naidu going back on all the poll promises,” they said.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier went on a two-day deeksha on March 31 and April 1 at Tanuku which has evoked tremendous response. The facts and figures are there for everyone to see as the SLBC has shown farmers’ debt of Rs 87,612 crores as on March 31, 2014 and it has gone up to Rs 97, 915 crores while the State is claiming to have cleared the loans in two phases.

The farmers are not getting MSP and are forced to sell the products at less than the MSP, the input costs have gone up manifold and input subsidy was not forthcoming. On the irrigation front, funds are not allocated to the projects that are nearing completion while priority is being given to Pattiseema project which hampers the existence of Polavaram project.
