YS Jagan is the epitome of trust

Actors Pruthvi and Vijayachandar participated in Praja Sankalpa Yatra. The duo participated in the mass outreach programme undertaken by Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's mass outreach programme which is progressing in Pithapuram constituency today.

Actor Pruthvi expressed his solidarity with the people's leader.
Later, speaking to media, Pruthvi said that he would support YS Jagan until his last breath. People believe that the Leader of Opposition was the epitome of trust.

Echoing similar sentiments, Vijayachandar said after YS Jagan becomes the Chief Minister he would bring back all the welfare schemes that the great leader Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy had implemented.

TDP rule is like Ravana Rajyam: YSRCP

Pithapuram: Former minister and YSRCP senior leader Koppana Mohana Rao said that Chandrababu-led TDP rule in Andhra Pradesh was akin to the Ravana’s reign in Lanka.
Talking to mediapersons while participating in the Praja Sankalpa Yatra in East Godavari’s Pithapuram on Tuesday, he said that local MLA Varma was fleecing even temples and was demanding bribes for every work.
He said there was massive corruption in the Neeru Chettu programme of the AP Government. The TDP leaders were demanding bribes even for sanctioning pension, ration cards or house sites.

TDP should stop creating a rift between different sections

Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Vizag City President Malla Vijaya Prasad lashed out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu over the state government's handling of basic issues.

Speaking to media here today, Vijaya Prasad said that the CM was criticising the opposition only to cover his government's shortcomings and the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) failure in delivering the 2014 election promises.

The YSRCP leader said that the TDP leaders are also criticising Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's recent remarks on the implementation of Kapu reservation in East Godavari district. The YSRCP leader questioned the state government on the allocation of funds for Kapu reservation.

"Only Rs 1,300 crores have been allocated till now, as against Rs 5,000 crores for the Kapu community," he said. The TDP should stop politicising sensitive issues and also stop provoke people and create a rift between different sections of the society, he added.

Praja Sankalpa Yatra enters 101 constituency

Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Praja Sankalpa Yatra entered 101 constituency on Tuesday. The YSRCP has so far covered 100 constituencies.

The Praja Sankalpa Yatra which is a popular mass contact initiative of the AP Leader of Opposition is progressing smoothly in every hamlet, district and constituency of Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan has received a thumping response for his padayatra at every step of his way.The YSRCP president began his padayatra from Idupulapaya on November 6. He will conclude Praja Sankalpa yatra in Ichchapuram of Srikakulam district

Monday 30 July 2018

Day 224 of Praja Sankalpa Yatra begins

Farmers from East Godavari district on Monday met YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and explained the leader the problems facing by them in Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's government.  They said farming become a loss making profession in TDP government.

YS Jagan whose Padayatra entered 224 day in Pithapuram gave a patient hearing to the woes explained by the farmers. One of the distressed farmers told YSR Congress leader he was forced to be a daily wager. They recalled farming was a profitable profession during YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime.

Palm Oil growers said they were trapped in debts due to the government's failure in providing remunerative price.  They requested YS Jagan establishment a palm oil processing unit in the district.

Chandrababu & Pawan's Collusion Politics Against YS Jagan Exposed

The sequence of the  programs conducted by Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan parallel to the YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's agitations on different Andhra Pradesh issues made it clear that Pawan in collusion with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was trying hard to diminish the growing popularity of YS Jagan ever since the opposition leader launched agitation in 2015 in support of Farmers who lost their lands in Amaravathi.

The secret understanding between Chandrababu and Pawan was exposed several times as Pawan targeted YS Jagan instead of nailing Chandrababu for his failures in fulfilling the promises as well as in mounting pressure on the centre for special status and railway zone in Visakhapatnam.

It all began when YS Jagan launched agitation in March, 2015 in support of farmers who gave away lands forcefully. Soon after YSR Congress leader announced his fight, Pawan entered the scene and visited the villages even before YS Jagan held dharnas.

Similarly, YS Jagan announced his agitation for special status and also state bandh on August 29 in 2015.  A day before bandh, Pawan raised the special status issue through tweets.

Against the centre's announcement of special package in lieu of special status, YS Jagan along with all opposition parties called state bandh on September 10. On the same day, Pawan held a public meeting in Kakinada and spoke about the centre.

With in four days after YS Jagan conducted 'Jai Andhra Pradesh Meeting' on November 6 in Visakhapatnam,  Pawan held Jai Seemandhra agitation in Anantapur and raised the same issues for which the YSR Congress is fighting.

Pawan also imitated YS Jagan in the fight on Agri Gold, Polavaram and minimum support price to protect the distressed farmers. Analysts says Chandrababu was using Pawan as pawn in a bid to weaken YS Jagan but the YSR Congress leader's unrelenting struggle to the cause of Andhra Pradesh consolidated his position with the increasing people's support

Praja Sankalpa Yatra day 224 schedule

YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will begin his padaytara on day 224 from Veeravaram in East Godavari district. During the course of his padayatra today, the people's leader will march through Veera complex, Ambedkar statue where he will have community interaction.

The Ptaja Sankalpa Yatra will then enter Rajapalem before traversing through Chandrapalli village where the YSRCP supremo will break for lunch. He will then visit Divili village before reaching Virava villahe in Pithapuram assembly constituency where he will break for lunch.

Day 223 of Praja Sankalpa Yatra begins from Jaggampeta

Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy commenced his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Day 223 from Jaggampeta in East Godavari district on Sunday morning.
The padayatra will proceed towards Ramavaram in Jaggampeta mandal. YS Jagan will break for lunch at Ramavaram. The YSRCP Chief will begin the padayatra post-lunch at 2.45 pm and continue the padayatra towards Goneda and Ramachandrapuram in Kirlampudi mandal. The padayatra will halt for the day at Ramachandrapuram.

90 rivers in East Godavari are affected by TDP: YS Jagan

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy addressed a massive public gathering in Jaggampeta constituency of East Godavari district, as part of his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Day 222. The people's leader thanked the public for joining him in the padayatra.
YS Jagan thanked the thousands of people who joined him in the padayatra while many met him to pour out their grievances.
In Jaggampeta constituency, local public told me that in the last four years, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu did not not fulfil any of his election promises, while, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders continue to exploit all the natural resources, YS Jagan said. The TDP leaders have exploited all the resources like sand, cement, alcohol, electricity and coal, he said. They did not even spare temple lands and ornaments inside the temples, he added. "Almost 90 rivers in the district are affected by the TDP sand mafia's smuggling practices," he remarked.
In East Godavari district, areas surrounding Jaggampeta and Pithapuram have a lifeline in the form of Aleshwaram reservoir, which is capable of providing irrigation waters to 60,000 acres of farmland. But, not even 50,000 acres receive irrigation waters today, in Chandrababu's rule. In February 2009, former Chief Minister, late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy initiated modernization work for the project. But, after his unfortunate death, not even 40 per cent of the work has been completed till now, YS Jagan observed.
In the last four years of Chandrababu rule, Polavaram project work has made zero progress. If the project was already completed, the water would not have been diverted to Vizag for industrial purpose, instead, the water would lead this region into prosperity.
The Polavaram project after being inaugurated by former Chief Minister, late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy (DR YSR), was initiated and constructed on a brisk pace during his regime. But, in Chandrababu's rule, the project work is moving at a snail's speed, he said.
YS Jagan remarked that the project is a primary source of money-making and corruption for Chandrababu. "Chandrababu is good at claiming credit for others' work. During Rajanna Rajyam, the Polavaram left and right canals have been completed. But, Chandrababu claimed that he had completed 56% of the project work," the Leader of Opposition observed.
Dr YSR completed the Pushkara lift irrigation project with 13 lifts across eight constituencies in the district, serving around 1.5 lakh acres. Farmers in this region would have gotten benefitted from Pushkara lift irrigation project, had Chandrababu built just one more lift in the last 4 years.
In Gokavaram mandal, Chandrababu promised in 2014 to bring Aleru project waters through pumps, but, he had not addressed the issue in more than four and half years, farmers said. Chandrababu promised to offer 9 hours of non stop electricity for borewells, but he failed to keep the promise. Last year, the farmers had to launch a protest in front of sub-stations, he said.
Launching a scathing attack on Chandrababu for not providing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for rice crops, YS Jagan said that the TDP government had completely failed to deliver on its 2014 election promises. "I spoke to a few farmers, who explained their sorry state in the last four years. The government did not provide the minimum support price (MSP) for the rice crop. Farmers of this region, who are in distress, informed me that the rice crop is hardly given a price of Rs 1,130 by the brokers, while the MSP is Rs 1,550," YS Jagan said. The sorry state extends to the Sago farmers also, he added.
The sugarcane crop is hardly given a support price of Rs 2800 per quintal, while in Uttar Pradesh, the government is providing Rs 3,450 for sugarcane farmers, he asserted. Around Rs 1200 is charged only for cutting and transportation of the crop, the YSRCP Chief said.
In the four years of Chandrababu rule, not even a single crop was given MSP, he said. The reason lies in the fact that Chandrababu is the leader of the brokers. Chandrababu's Heritage company purchases crops for lessser price from farmers and sells its products for 3-4 times the price, said.
"Chandrababu, in his election promises, said he would develop the Jaggampet Community Health Centre into an Area hospital. Out of the hospital's 30 bed capacity, only 15 beds are available. Lack of an X-ray, a lab technician and ambulances are creating difficulties for the patients," the Leader of Opposition said. Dr YSR sanctioned a Degree College in Jaggampeta, but not even a building has been constructed in the last four years of Chandrababu rule.
TDP's website has removed its 2014 election manifesto, YS Jagan remarked. When various communities asked Chandrababu about implementation of his poll promises, he insults and humiliates them, he said. Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham was deliberately booked under cases, in order to supress their fight, YS Jagan added. The Chief Minister promised to include fishermen under STs and Nayee Brahmins were promised minimum wages, but he fulfilled neither of them, he added.
YS Jagan clarified to the Kapu community members that he would do everything possible within the 50% reservation limit under the purview of the State government, and, unlike Chandrababu, he would not make false and impossible promises.
Chandrababu promised impossible things like including fishermen and Rajakas into STs and Kapus into BCs, he said.
The Janma Bhoomi Committees demand money even for ration, pension, houses and toilets, he said. The AP CM promised to build a house for every poor man in the state—"How many houses has he built till date?" he asked. In Dr. YSR's regime, 18600 houses were built in this constituency, but not even a single house has been built in the last four years, YS Jagan said. It is laughable that Chandrababu, who had promised to build 20 lakh houses in 2014, is now pledging to construct 19 lakh houses in the remaining 6 months.
The YSRCP Chief told the massive public gathering that Chandrababu had promised to give Rs 2,000 to every household without employment. It had been 48 months since he had come to power yet no household had got that amount. So the government owed Rs Rs 96,000 to every household in the state, he said and called upon all the unemployed youth to question the TDP chief about it.
YS Jagan pointed that the women's self-help groups were cheated and were not given loan waivers. During Rajanna Rajyam, farmers availed interest free loans from the banks, but, in Chandrababu's rule, the farmer loans are completely ignored, he said.
In 2014, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu vowed to ban all liquor shops in the state, but, after four years years of his rule, he has ensured that every village had a liquor shop, YS Jagan said. Women in this constituency had a common grievance on the mushrooming of belt shops and complained that liquor addiction was destroying the lives of youth, he added.
After I promised to increase wages to VRAs, Anganwadis and Home guards, Chandrababu nominally increased the salaries, not even matching those of Telangana, he said.
Chandrababu showed us dreams of a capital similar to Singapore, Polavaram project, iconic tower, iconic bridge, silicon valley, 100-floor buildings, bullet train, Hyperloop, Microsoft office and 40 lakh jobs, he said. The government failed to fulfil every single promise it made, he added.
If YSRCP comes to power, the Arogyasri scheme, which saved many lives during Rajanna Rajyam, will be reinstated along with the 108 ambulances which had saved many lives under YSR rule, he pointed out. The 108 vehicles used to reach the patient within 20 minutes of intimation, he said. Rajanna Rajyam had an ambulance per mandal while today, not even a single ambulance is available per constituency, he remarked.
In Chandrababu's rule, schools and colleges are being closed in the name of rationalization, whilst children are not provided with books and uniforms, even after more than two months into the academic year, he observed.
YS Jagan informed that in the neighbouring states like Karnataka and Telangana, fuel prices were lesser by Rs 6-7. The YSRCP Chief added that one need not be surprised if TDP promises one kilogram of gold and a Benz car to every household in the state during the next elections. The Leader of Opposition pointed out that earlier every house was paying electricity charges between Rs 50-100 while now the charges have gone up to Rs 500-1000 per house. He observed that over the last four years the AP CM had hiked the electricity tariff three times.
Back in 2014, Babu promised to waive farm loans, instead, he has burdened the state government with a loan of Rs 87,600 crores, he said. Bank loan notices continue to harass farmers and the women’s co-operative societies, he observed.
YS Jagan promised to increase the pension amounts to senior citizens in the state. To all senior citizens of age of over 60, pension of Rs 2,000 will be provided every month, he promised. Single women, aged above 45, will be given a pension of Rs 2,000 in Rajanna Rajyam, he added.

'Sudhakar's death not a suicide, but Chandrababu govt's murder'

YSR Congress Party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy offered his condolences to the family of the person who ended his life demanding Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media here today he said it was unfortunate that a young man committed suicide. Sudhakar, a handloom weaver from Madanapalli, took the extreme step to protest against the state and Central government's attitude towards granting SCS to AP
Bhumana said Sudhakar's death was not a suicide but it was AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu government's murder. He said without resigning from their posts, TDP MPs and Chandrababu were staging dramas to deceive the people of the state. SCS is now the common sentiment of people and it was time state government realised this, he said.
He recalled an earlier occasion wherein Munikoti from Tirupati had committed suicide, and the call given by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to people not to resort to suicides. He requested people to not give up their lives. He called upon people to stay alive and fight for SCS. "Let us fight until SCS was awarded to the state," he said.
It is reported that Sudhakar (26) had left a suicide mentioning 'SCS is our Right'

YS Jagan Begins Day 210 Of Padayatra From Rayavaram

YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's historic padayatra has been recieveing an unprecedented response from across the state. After a day's break due to incessant rains, YS Jagan began his padayatra on Day 210 from Rayavaram mandal in Mandapeta constituency of East Godavari district.
The people's leader was accompanied by scores of party leaders, workers, men, women and kids drawn from all walks of life who expressed their solidarity with him.
The general masses have been showering unconditional love on YS Jagan who's interacting with them to get an insight into their problems on a first-hand basis. The YSRCP Chief has been highlighting problems being faced by people on a daily basis and demanding action from the ruling TDP which seems to be in sleep mode.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy began padayatra from Idupulapaya on November 6. The padayatra has so far covered a distance of 2516.4 kilometres.

Before Elections, Chandrababu Rolls Out 'Anna Canteen' Stunt

Ahead of next elections,  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu rolled out a political stunt in the name of launch of Anna canteens to provide meals  to the poor at the highly subsidized price. After completing four years in the office, the chief minister woke up to fulfill the promise of inauguration of Anna Canteens on July 11 in many districts.  In the first phase,  he announced inauguration of 100 canteens.

In fact, the AP government had sought people's opinion on the set up of the canteens and prepared 18 models displaying the portraits of Chandrababu and TDP found President NT Rama Rao.  But into implementation, the models were not reflected at the canteen opened in the new Secretariat.  Government erected only a shed with iron sheets to run the canteen. As the canteen is lacked basic facilities,  people stopped coming to the canteen which has been closed finally.

To expose Chandrababu's failure,  YSR Congress MLA A Ramakrishna Reddy opened ' Rajanna canteen' in his own constituency and providing meals at only Rs  4 per plate.

The YSRCP legislator raised the state government's negligence in opening the canteen but the CM did not respond.  Not alone canteens, Chandrababu failed to honour a single promise till date. The TDP Chief has come to power by hoodwinking people with 600 false promises.

TDP Depending On Turncoat Leaders

YSR Congress Party Kurnool Parliament constituency president BY Ramaiah expressed his shock over the statements made by IT minister Nara Loakesh during his visit to Kurnool. He said TDP was completely depending on turncoat MPs and MLAs. It was a shame on part of the minister to ask the public to vote for turncoat leaders.
Speaking to the media here today, the YSRCP leader said that TDP had lost faith in their own leaders. This statement from Lokesh proved that he was following the footsteps of his father, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who was known for political prostitution. It appears TDP has a huge liking for YSRCP products, he said and added that in the near future one would not be surprised to see a turncoat leader heading the TDP.
Ramaiah expresses confidence that the YSRCP would win 14 MLA seats and two MP seats in Kurnool. He said leave alone making this district an IT hub, qualified youth are unable to get IT jobs. With elections nearing, TDP was fully active with ribbon cuttings and laying foundation stones, he said.
He said that Kurnool was facing severe drinking water problem, but the government had not bothered to allocate even a single paisa for solving this crisis. Sensing that people were against TDP, the party has opposed one nation-one election, he said and added that YSRCP will garner massive win in the upcoming elections.

Chandrababu foreign tours waste

Dubbing the foreign jaunts of Chandababu Naidu as sheer extravaganza and waste of public money, YSR Congress has said that while the tours have been yielding nothing there has been no review meeting of a single trip which shows how wasteful an exercise it has been.

Speaking to reporters here on  Tuesday party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said,  Chandrababu Naidu has so far went on foreign trips over 25 times spending huge sums but what has those tours yielded was never reviewed nor revealed.

During his recent Singapore tour, he has put the fertile land of the state on an open offer giving it on a platter to investors as if he owns the entire land and boasted of so many things, fully knowing that elections are due soon and there would be no possibility of fulfilling any of the terms.

The land he has put on open offer is beyond the comprehension of any sane person and his lies that the various infrastructure facilities makes him a laughing stock.

What he has been telling to the foreign companies is a bundle of lies and has been telling them that the land is verdant and agriculture has been on a priority mode in the state while it was the reverse in reality, she said.

He has been using the foreign tours for his self promotion and the tours are with public money and he is accountable for them. Like father, like son adage goes well with his son Lokesh too picking up the threads of telling lies, she said

Rs 2 crore to tutor Lokesh

The YSRCP on Tuesday charged the ruling Telugu Desam Party with spending over Rs 2 crore from the state exchequer to tutor Nara Lokesh on various issues.

YSRCP MLA Pushpa Sreevani said that the Government which spends such whopping amounts says that it has no money to protect the farmers’ interests.
On Tuesday, the sugarcane farmers organized a massive dharna in Viziangaram on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said it needs just Rs 11 crore to solve the problems of the sugarcane farmers. The TDP is spending up to Rs 20 crore to buy each YSRCP MLAs. When it can splurge on all these, why can’t it spend on sugarcane farmers, she asked.

Charging Chandrababu Naidu with ignoring the interests of the farmers, she said that the Government was doing nothing for the common man. She said those who have defected from the YSRCP to TDP were more interested in protecting their assets worth several crores rather than worry about the farmers.

New Joining In YSRCP

The exodus from other parties to YSR Congress Party seems to continue in an unprecedented way. An increasing number of people were attracted to the good work that was being done by YS Jagan.

They are being attracted by YS Jagan's self confidence and his padayatra was inspirational for many people in the state.
The YSRCP Chief's relentless fight for Special Category Status to AP and all other issues have inspired many political leaders in the state.

As many as 100 people from Kamarajupeta of Gokavaram mandal have joined the YSRCP in the presence of party co-ordinator Jyotula Chantibabu. Chantibabu welcomed them into the party by offering party's shawl at the party office in Jaggampeta.

CRDA farmers pour out their woes before YS Jagan

Ramachandrapuram: The villagers belonging to Capital Region Development Area (CRDA) met Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Kuyyeru in East Godavari. YS Jagan who is on his mass contact programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra met the farmers from Penumaka and Undavalli villagers and lent them a patient ear.
The farmers told YS Jagan that in the name of land pooling they were facing threats from groups. Already 54,000 acres of land has been forcibly acquired from farmers, he said. They said if anyone resisted parting with their land, they threatened to take it away under land acquisition and wanted them to say that it had been given voluntarily.
The CRDA farmers informed the YSRCP Chief that loan, subsidies and water have been stopped to them. Though the requirement to build capital was just 900 acres of land, the government has taken 54,000 acres, they said. They questioned whether it was fair to harass them for land while not even a single building has been constructed till date.
The farmers said that they had come to seek help from the Leader of Opposition and a solution to their problem. They are hopeful that YS Jagan will address the issue. The Leader of Opposition, after hearing the woes of the CRDA farmers, has assured them of extending full support.
Later, villagers of Gopalraopet in Ramachandrapuram constituency met the people's leader and described the state of roads and said it was very difficult to walk on the road, leave alone driving vehicles. The villagers mentioned that during late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule a BT road was laid. After it got washed away, no one has bothered to relay the road. They told YS Jagan that despite numerous requests to their local MLA, there has been no response.

Praja Sankalpa Yatra Day 206 Schedule

Ramachandrapuram: Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will commence his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Day 206 from Draksharamam in East Godavari district on Thursday morning.
The padayatra will proceed towards Velampalem Cross and Jagannayakapalem. The YSRCP chief will halt for the day at Jagannayakapalem.

Chandrababu Resumes Appeasement Politics To Cheat People Again

YSR Congress Party senior leader S Uday Bhanu and Ghattamaneni Adisheshagiri Rao alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu resumed appeasement politics to cheat Andhra people again ahead of next elections.

The YSR Congress leaders said that Chandrababu increased salaries of outsourcing and contract workers in a bid to lure them. The deekshas launched by ruling TDP leaders for special status and steel plant are part of a political drama scripted by Chandrababu.

They pointed out TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy's comment that steel plant and railway zone demand are just for political consumption only. His statement proved that TDP was not sincere in fulfilling the promises.  Chandrababu failed on all fronts including mounting pressure on centre on the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.

The YSR Congress leaders said the TDP Chief made 600 promises out of which not a single one was fulfilled. Fearing backlash,  Chandrababu is talking about his promises. The salaries of VRAs were increased inview of the elections are just a year away.  It was YSR who regularized the services of VRAs during his regime.

Chandrababu Admitted AP Top In Crime Against Women In India

Finally, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu admitted the state of Andhra Pradesh stood first among others in the atrocities on women in India. He also felt it was unfortunate that growing incidence of crime against women is a big concern to his government.

Ever since Chandrababu assumed CM office, harassement of women has become a regular phenomenon in the state. The number of rape cases and attack on women have been increasing every year. The ruling party leaders in collusion with police are targeting women by forcing them into sex rackets.

Chandrababu had taken up a vigorous campaign on the safety of women in the last elections.  After coming to power,  not a single measure was taken for the protection of women in the entire state. The incidents like assault on  dalit and tribal women increased many fold.

Unfortunately, government also failed to render justice to the victims.  The controversial comments made by Chandrababu and his support to giving more number births of baby boys also exposed the government's attitude towards maintaining gender equality in the state.

The Chief Minister never considered harassement of women a social menace and also failed to contain such incidents in his rule.

Chandrababu shows false love for farmers

In what could be termed as political goondaism, the TDP leaders in Chittoor district tried to attack YSR Congress Party senior leader and  MLA RK Roja today. The YSRCP MLA had come to participate in the inauguration function of Putturu Government hospital building. Brushing protocol aside, the TDP leaders and supporters stopped Roja and even tried to attack her.
This triggered a reaction from YSRCP workers and supporters who swung into action and stopped the TDP leaders. As a result, the situation in Putturu became tension for some time. Interestingly enough, the events unfolded in the presence of minister Amarnath Reddy, who had also come for the hospital building inauguration.
Prior to attending the inauguration programme, Roja spoke to mediapersons and expressed her anger against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and said that AP CM ignored the plight of farmers in his own district. This was the case with tomato earlier and with mango today. Farmers are facing hardships without minimum support price from the government. Chandrababu shows false love for farmers, she added.

JC Diwakar Reddy's behaviour is worse than that of an animal

YSR Congress Party leader Botsa Satyanarayana said that TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy's behaviour was inhuman, worse than that of an animal. Speaking to media here today at the party headquarters, he said everyone would be defamed because of people like JC. He mentioned that it was disgusting to hear the language used by TDP MPs.
The YSRCP leader said it was foolish on part of TDP to protest for railway zone at this time. TDP was staging all kinds of dramas as the elections were nearing, he remarked. He wondered how TDP could hold protest programmes now after sleeping over the railway zone issue for last four years. TDP MPs are flaunting their power which is why they are behaving in this manner, he observed.
He also demanded to know what the TDP was doing with the MPs that the party bought from YSRCP along with 18 other MPs. They have not been able to do any good for the state.

TDP offered Rs 40 Crore

Rompicherla: The Telugu Desam party leaders offered YSR Congress Party MLA Dr Sunil Kumar Rs.40 crores to cross over to the ruling party, he alleged. The legislator from Poothalapattu revealed that he was also threatened with false cases if he failed to succumb to the lure of the offer.

Dr. Sunil Kumar was addressing a public meeting at Challavaripalle under Rompicherla mandal in Chittoor district, when he made this startling disclosure.  He remarked that the TDP did not have the same degree of interest on people’s welfare as it did on trying to lure MLAs from other parties. The YSRCP legislator further said that he was not afraid of false cases and emphasised that he would remain loyal to his mentor and senior party leader, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.

YSRCP dares Chandrababu for open debate

YSR Congress has dared the Chandrababu Naidu government for an open debate on the quantum of fulfilment of election promises and dubbed the ongoing deekshas of the ruling party rolling drama troupe which lacks any public interest.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, party senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said, the election manifesto of the TDP has been pulled out of the public domain and has vanished from Party website while the book of Chandrababu Naidu Manasulo Maata has vanished from book shelves as they do not match to what the TDP leadership has been talking of late.

We challenge Chandrababu Naidu to come for an open debate on the election promises he has fulfilled which will separate chalk from cheese as he has been going on a publicity spree that he has fulfilled 90 % of the poll promises.

Starting from waiver of loans of farmers and women groups to providing jobs and paying unemployment stipend, he has failed on all fronts and has been boasting that he has fulfilled all promises. We throw the gauntlet to debate with our Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to straighten the record on this count, he said.

He has been shamelessly asking people to give 25 parliament seats in the ensuing elections while his track record says that despite having 20 seats, including the one he has bought from Opposition and that of the ally BJP put together, he could not get a single assurance given in the State Reorganisation Act done during his four year term of which he was part of the NDA coalition.
What he could not do then while being part of the Central government, he has been raking issue after issue to score political mileage as his caravan of drama troupe has been moving from Kadaapa Steel Plant stage to the Vizag Railway Zone theatre.

The issues of Special Category Status(SCS) along with Kadapa Steel Plant, Vizag Railway Zone, Vizag-Chennai industrial corridor, Petrochemical complex and others were not raised even for a single day while TDP was part of NDA coalition by Chandrababu Naidu while our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been consistently fighting for all the issues and has been with the people.

The Act has clearly said that all the assurances should be fulfilled within six months of the day of appointment but four years have lapsed with Chandrababu Naidu being part of the coalition but he could not get a single assurance fulfilled and now after coming out of the coalition has been resorting to dramatics, he said.

The deekshas of TDP have been like a drama involving lot of theatrics and the troupe has now shifted to Vizag to enact one more scene which lacks sincerity, he said.
