Know who Pittala Dora is?

Meet Pittala Dora, the famed conjurer of Andhra Pradesh. He can create the make believe and conjure up a world of promises, while fulfilling none.

To understand the delusionary world of this Pittala Dora, let’s go to Gunduvaripallela village in Amadagudu mandal of Anantapur district. Farmer Sivanna has 5 acre land. He sowed groundnut spending Rs 90000. With Chandrababu becoming the CM, rain gods refused to oblige. It was then that the Pittala Dora came. He told Sivanna to believe him, not the rain god. He also told him that he has an experience of nine long years. So, Sivanna believed him.

The Pittala Dora brought a contraption called rain gun. A pit was dug and water was filled. The water in the pit  was sprinkled on his crop. There were the usual photo ops. The Pittala Dora then left the place. By the time Sivanna came back to his fields after lunch, the tarpaulins were folded up, the pit was filled, the officials vanished and the rain gun disappeared. The crop weathered away and Sivanna got just five bags of groundnut as against at least 100 bags. Today, the conjurer is weaiving magic somewhere, while Sivanna is forced to sell snacks to repay the loan.

This is the story that YS Jagan is narrating during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra to drive home the point that Chandrababu had duped the Anantapur farmers. He showed photographs to reinforce the effect and finally asks the people who the Pittala Dora is. The crowd roars and says Chandrababu. Having driven home his point, YS Jagan moves on.

This new technique of political communication through story telling and visual examples is proving to be a huge hit.

Chandrababu Adopts Anti-employees stand

Vijayawada :  Expressing solidarity with the employees, teachers and pensioners who are demanding the State government to revert back to the old pension scheme, YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu has always taken a stand favouring the corporate houses with his anti-employees’ stand.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday party spokesperson K Parthasarathi has said, ‘the state has been taking anti-employee stand and has been using the police force to foil the democratic protest of employees, teachers and pensioners who have been protesting at the dharna chowk at Vijayawada.

Our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed solidarity with the employees who have been contending that the new Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) would be faulty and social security depends on various factors of which the state has no control and it is better if the state reverts back to old pension scheme which is a time-tested one.

Chandrababu Naidu has always been favouring the corporate houses and business class and has never hidden his anti-employees’ stand. Even in his book ‘Manasuloni Mata’, he made it clear on his stand on pensions and the role of government employees.

He has been showing indifference towards employees by hiring contract workers or outsourcing the work which shows his mindset and when the employees are on dharna and wanted to meet him in the assembly he has pressed police force around the assembly.

The Chalo Assembly call was foiled by police and the state did not take any measures to bring the affected party to the negotiating table to sort out the problem but instead has been continuing with its anti-employees’ policies.

During his earlier term as well Chandrababu Naidu had done the same and invited the wrath of the employees and pensioners.

Our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed solidarity with the employees and said that the government would revert back to the old pension scheme, he said.

TDP’s Rampant Corruption Scaring Away Investors

Hyderabad: YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana said that entrepreneurs were wary of investing in Andhra Pradesh due to the rampant corruption and the self-serving attitude of the powers that be. He said unbridled corruption and demands for kickbacks are putting off investors from coming to Andhra Pradesh.

Referring to the issue of disqualification of the YSRCP MLAs who have defected to the TDP without resigning their MLA posts, he said the Speaker was changing his word every hour. "This is unprecedented. I have never seen such a situation anywhere. The Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly have a great responsibility to uphold legislative ethics and conventions. How can holding of assembly sessions without disqualifying the turncoats be justified," he asked. The YSRCP would attend the assembly session if the turncoat MLAs were disqualified.

Chandrababu killed democracy

The monsoon session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly was began on a dull note in the absence of the main opposition YSR Congress party.  The opposition has been demanding to disqualify all the defected MLAs from the house.  The turncoats switched loyalties to ruling TDP as Chandrababu Naidu offered Rs 20 to Rs 40 crore each for quitting the YSR Congress.

Party senior leader Gadikota Srikanth Reddy already put the demand for the disqualification of defected legislators before Assembly Speaker K SIva Prasad. But no action was taken so far.  The YSR Congress made it clear that the party MLAs will not attend the assembly unless the Speaker take a decision against the those MLAs.

Srikanth Reddy also said the ruling party owed responsibility for not taking action against the turncoats. Instead, the TDP was holding Assembly session sans the opposition presence.  The YSR Congress leaders alleged that Chandrababu threw the democratic principles to the winds by not respecting the opposition demand.

AP Assembly Session Resembles TDP Training Camp: Roja

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA RK Roja  criticized Chandrababu Naidu for conducting the ongoing assembly session without main opposition. The session replicated as a training camp organised for party leaders and cadre by the ruling TDP in the Assembly premises.
She said, however, the training camp in the assembly will help Chandrababu's son and IT minister Lokesh to develop skills as opposition leader after 2019 elections. Roja also took on CM for promoting his son as leader through back door by electing Lokesh as MLC and then elevated as minister in the state cabinet.
YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy already exposed Chandrababu's failures in the previous assembly sessions, she said. YS Jagan fought from 'Delhi to Galli' ( street) on special status . The treasury benches confined to mudslinging on the opposition leaders without addressing the demands raised by YSR Congress in the assembly.
Roja said Chandrababu fell in sixth stage of hallucinations as he always claimed fulfillment of all promises made by him in 2014 elections.

Bless YS Jagan's mission to save democracy: Dharmana

YSR Kadapa: YSR Congress Party senior leader Dharmana Prasada Rao slammed the Chandrababu Government as having the singular distinction of surviving through the support of opposition MLAs. He hit out at Chandrababu Naidu for the unconstitutional manner in which he was seeking to run the government. Prasada Rao was speaking on the occasion of the commencement of the AP Leader of Opposition and YSRCP President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Idupalapaya this morning. Dharmana ridiculed the TDP leadership for not only admitting 22 opposition legislators into their fold, but also rewarding four of them with ministers' portfolios. The TDP government is being run in the most undemocratic manner, he criticized.
Dharmana said that the Chandrababu govt secretly issued as many as 2000 GOs which itself is a reflection of the complete lack of transparency of the TDP Govt. Moreover, the voice of the opposition is being stifled in the Assembly and opposition legislators are not given an opportunity to voice the concerns and grievances of the masses in the House, he said.
Under the circumstances, the only option left for the opposition was to reach out to the masses which was the underlying objective of YS Jagan's mass out reach programme, he added.
The Praja Sankalpa Yatra is also aimed at pointing out the irregularities of the unconstitutional means the Chandrababu Govt is adopting. He appealed to the people of Andhra Pradesh to back and bless YS Jagan's mission to save democracy along every step of the way.

"I appeal to each and every person in the state to support my son in the same way as you would support your son, grandson or brother. He is going to meet all of you and will strive to find solutions to all your problems," she said.
Recalling the historic Padayatra taken out by the late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Vijayamma urged the people to give YS Jagan a chance to serve them to improve their lot. He signed the first file to give free power to farmers and introduced low interest loans to women entrepreneurs among several welfare schemes," she said and assured that her son would revive all those programmes after becoming chief minister in 2019 elections.
Vijayamma said that through his extensive interaction with the common masses during the course of his Padayatra, Dr. YSR could get a first-hand understanding of many of the problems being faced by people drawn from various segments of society. AP Port City's Brand Image Wanes in TDP rule

One of the biggest tourist destination in the country and Port City in Andhra Pradesh  - Visakhapatnam's  brand image is on the wane as the TDP government's repeated attempts to promote the most happening city a hub of  Beach festivals, Ramp walks and Fashion Shows brought disrepute.

Ever Since Chandrababu Naidu assumed office,  the ruling party leaders targeted to exploit the natural beauty of Visakhapatnam by organising  liquor parties and beach festivals.  The CM  had taken decision to open liquor parlors across Vizag beaches which invited big criticism from all women organisations including YSR Congress Party women wing.

Despite the women community opposed fashion shows,  the government was encouraging such programmes on the pretext of promotion of world tourism. The corporate companies in the hospitality business were given free hand to exploit the port city's serene beauty and  promote foreign culture.

At one side Visakhapatnam has not been attracting any foreign investments and the other side the beach festivals brought down the image of the port city as the women community opposed such activities.  Chandrababu conducted partnership summits but failed to get desirable results.

Chandrababu didn't fulfill 600 promises

Anantapur: The YSR Congress party leaders have alleged that the undemocratic rule is going on in Andhra Pradesh. They have conducted in YSR Kutumbam programme at 39th division of Janmabhoominagar.

The YSRCP leaders appealed the people to join the YSR Kutumbam to bring back YSR's golden era.

The programme was held under the leadership of Anantapur Urban constituency co-ordinator Nadim Ahmad. Former MP Anantha Venkatramireddy, MLA Visweswara Reddy, MLC Vennapusa Gopal Reddy and many others attended as chief guests.
Chandrababu Naidu made over 600 promises during the general elections but failed to implement at least some of them in the last three and half years, they said. During YSR's rule, all the sections of people were happy, they said and added that YSRCP only can bring back that rule.

They have also explained the people about YS Jagan's nine promises.
