TDP, anti-women

Hyderabad, March 31: YSR Congress has said that TDP government is anti-women and the recent exposure of the follower of a state minister in the Call Money Sex racket stands a testimony for it.
‘The incident has brought to the fore the apathy of TDP towards women and when I have been raising this and many other women issues, they have suspended me for one year even though the rule they have quoted does not permit it,’ party MLA RK Roja said in a press conference here on Thursday.
As I have raised the issue of Call Money Sex racket and to cover up the involvement of TDP leaders and associates they have banned me for one year against the rules and when I have gone to court and brought an order they did not honour it and said they need not abide by any court verdict.
Legislative affairs minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu had to eat his own words as he did not heed to our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s view that the suspension is not valid and the quoted rule does not permit the period of suspension mentioned by the Chair.
‘When the court ruled exactly what our leader had contended he had took a U-turn and said that he had misquoted the rule. Ramakrishunudu, the former speaker, who boasts that he knows the rules well stands exposed and fits the role of a pseudo intellectual,’ she said.
TDP government have been unfair towards women right from Vanajakshi case till the Call money Sex racket and women are up in arms against Chandababu Naidu and his government, she said.

Govt. shielded defectors fearing by-polls

Hyderabad, March 31: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the TDP government stands exposed for all the charges from corruption to fudging of funds and nepotism with the CAG Report confirming all the issues we have been highlighting and the just concluded budget session has thrown open the nefarious means of Chandrababu Naidu and the Speaker by shielding the defectors from being disqualified as they cannot win back the people’s mandate.
‘Summing up the budget session, we have done well by highlighting all the people’s issues while the State Government skirted important issues and its weakness was exposed when it has taken up the no confidence motion against the Chandrababu Naidu government and against the Speaker in a tearing hurry, bypassing the set rules only to shield the turncoats from being disqualified as TDP has no moral courage to face the elections,’ YS Jagan Mohan Reddy told reporters here on Thursday.
It is not a coincidence that CAG Report has mentioned the same irregularities which we have mentioned earlier which vindicates our stand and the corrupt practices of the TDP government.
During the budget session we have highlighted all the irregularities of the government which was in favaor in a select few and the rampant corruption in sand mining, nepotism in capital land issue, buying power at higher prices though there was an option to pay less only to benefit Chandrababu Naidu’s coterie.
‘He has breached the vote of secrecy and allowed his favoured few to buy land in the peripheries of the capital city while misleading others by dropping names of the capital city location. His prior knowledge has helped his men to acquire land in large extent and also benefit in the zonal method as the small and medium farmers lost out with their lands going into the agriculture zone and that of others in to commercial zone. This insider trading has helped his coterie to the maximum possible extent as Chandrababu Naidu has created a mismatch of demand and supply to favour his people, he said.
We have exposed the government in sand mafia which siphoned away Rs 2,000 cr a fact that was accepted by the minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu himself and also the SC ST sub-plan amount not spent. In case of SCs 69 % of the funds were not spent.
We were the voice of the people and the government tried to gag it when we moved a no confidence motion against the State government. Setting aside the mandatory 15 days time frame, the government had taken up the issue in a hurry giving us no time to issue a whip which would eventually disqualify the defectors. The no trust move on Speaker too was handled in a similar way and the Speaker himself was in the
Chair when the rules were given a go-by and the motion was taken up immediately.

When we have asked for a voting for passing Appropriation Bill, but it was rushed through by a voice vote and when we pressed for a division, it was not considered. To cap it up, the Speaker has announced that 67 MLAs voted against Bill in support of YSRCP which is a fallacy. Our MLA RK Roja was suspended and eight MLAs have crossed over to the treasury benches and the Speaker’s figures simply do not add up,’ he said.
Chandrababu Naidu has been buying MLAs from opposition party with his ill-gotten wealth but at the hustings, people before casting their vote will look at various parameters which include whether or not he has fulfilled his poll promises. How was his governance, how many schemes were implemented and how many scams have unfolded, how many of the promises of the Centre were materialized by the coalition, was the Rs 50,000 crores earmarked for BCs released or not, was the promise of reservations to kapus fulfilled or not how much of the amount earmarked in the SC, ST sub-plan was actually spent, how many agriculture and DWACRA loans were waived, how many jobs and stipends were given and TDP has to cut a sorry figure.
This was very glaringly evident from the fact that the ruling Party was trying to save the defectors from disqualification as they cannot go to the people’s court and get a mandate, he said.
The CAG Report has said nothing new that we have not said earlier. Besides not spending the amounts earmarked for SCs and STs in the sub-plan, within three years Chandrababu Naidu has pushed the state, which was having a surplus for eight previous years, into revenue deficit and the borrowings and liabilities have gone over and above the permissible levels. The government did not leave the public deposits, which include Employees Provident Fund and diverted RS 22,000 crores during 2014-15 which the CAG Report has also mentioned.
On the other hand, there has been extravaganza on part of the Government. The official site shows the expenses increase by 38,000 crore in just 20 days.

Though the Government tried to gag the Voice of People by denying us the deserving opportunity to raise issues, we have highlighted and exposed the failures of the TDP in its raw form and will continue to fight on behalf of the people, he said.

TDP Leaders Unfairly Gaining Benefits

Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan questioned the justification behind giving away Special Development Funds (SDF) to TDP leaders. Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishudu spoke in the assembly regarding consumption of SDF. He stated that there were no particular regulations for this and the CM sanctioned it at his will. Leader of opposition YS Jagan then spoke regarding this and announced his party’s intention to walk out.
YS Jagan stated that it was customary to give funds to MLAs for development of their constituencies and added that late Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy had sanctioned great amount of funds to MLAs. As TDP MLAs opposed this, YS Jagan raised objection. He cautioned them not to talk out of half-knowledge and commented that they were following Chandrababu’s footsteps.
He mentioned that Rs.5 crore was being sanctioned to all the members of parliament irrespective of their party. He opined that the intention of this was to make sure that development happened in the constituencies where each MP represented 2 lakh people who had given him the victory. But here the situation was totally different in the constituencies where YSRCP leaders had won, exclaimed YS Jagan.
He mentioned that the TDP leaders who had lost in elections were being granted funds and questioned how it was right. He specified that Kandula Narayana Reddy, Aadala Prabhakar Reddy and others were receiving funds. At this point speaker Kodela Siva Prasad withdrew the provision of microphone to him and it was passed to TDP MLA Sravan Kumar, as the speaker did not want YS Jagan to read out the names of the TDP leaders. Later YS Jagan was allowed to speak but immediately the microphone was withdrawn again. Members of YSRCP condemned this act.

Ethical Victory is YSRCP’s

Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan opined that MLAs of YSR Congress Party had ethically won in the assembly. He chit chatted with the media after the budget bill had been unfairly won by the Government in the assembly.
YS Jagan stated that YSRCP had requested for division voting on appropriation bill. He remarked that the Government had unfairly used public deposits. He specified that Rs.22,000 crore of public deposits had been diverted. According to FRBM, more than 3% of GSDP could not be taken. In spite of RBI and centre’s regulations being very clear, the state Government had exceeded the set limits, complained YS Jagan. He added that this was why YSRCP had requested for division voting.
YS Jagan reminded that accounts for 2014-15 financial year had not been shown. He also stated that the accounts of matters like loan waiver, pension and housing were faulty. That was why voting was requested, he said.
YS Jagan stated that it was unconstitutional and unfair for the speaker to not accept the request for division voting. He complained that the speaker had not cared even when he had read out the rules. YS Jagan explained this as a desperate act to protect the MLAs bought with corrupt money.

CID inquiry to escape exposure through CBI inquiry

  • Chandrababu is protecting culprits
  • Is this the way to behave with a Rs.10,000 crore scam?
  • No offenders were arrested
  • Minister Prathipati’s wife was sold lands while the investigation was still on
  • Properties should be auctioned under the supervision of the High Court: YS Jagan

Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan complained that CM Chandrababu Naidu was protecting culprits of Agrigold issue instead of getting them punished. He informed that investigation was going on for Rs.2460 crore Sarada Chit Fund scam in West Bengal and exclaimed that Agrigold scam had not yet seen inquiry in spite of being a relatively bigger scam. He commented that Chandrababu had not yet ordered for CBI inquiry as he feared that things would be exposed against his favour. He added that Babu was rather confident about keeping CID under his control.
Speaking in the assembly during discussion on Agrigold, YS Jagan stated that there were 32 lakh victims of Agrigold according to the computation of CID while 40 lakh was the count in reality. CBI’s estimation of the amount of deposits was Rs.6,850 crore. Interest of Rs.3150 crore included, Rs.10,000 crore was the total amount, according to CID’s estimation. YS Jagan slammed the TDP Government for falsely and irrelevantly stating that this amount grew in Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure. He read out the letter written by SEBI on the 31st of March in 1998.
YS Jagan exclaimed that TDP was by the side of Agrigold victims when it was an opposition party and had promised them justice at the time of elections too. He complained that Chandrababu, upon getting into power, started to concentrate on protecting the accused instead of getting them punished. YS Jagan informed that the first case on Agrigold had been registered in 2014 at Nellore and CID inquiry had been ordered on the 5th of January in 2015, while criticizng the snail-paced investigation. CM Chandrababu stated that he had been putting pressure on CID investigation. Leaders of the ruling party posed obstruction and counterattacked a number of times during YS Jagan’s speech.
A People’s Interest Litigation had been filed in the High Court against Agrigold. CID officials had unjustly suggested the court that the officials of Agrigold did not need to be arrested. GO 23 had been issued on the 20th of February in 2015 attaching the details of Agrigold properties. Properties in Tirupati were not mentioned in this. Agrigold’s vice-chairman Sitaram had sold the properties to a person named Avvas for Rs.14 crore while the investigation was still going on. Before the GO 23 was issued, Agrigold sold the properties to Uday Kiran, the director of Ram Avas Resorts and the wife of Prathipati Pullarao. YS Jagan presented proofs pertaining to this in the assembly, mentioning that these details had not been mentioned in the attachment provided by the Government.
YS Jagan ridiculed that it happy to see that the minister had accepted buying the lands with the name of Venkayamma. While YS Jagan was speaking, he was obstructed by Achennayudu, Prathipati Pullarao, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Bonda Uma trying to sidetrack the issue. An undistracted YS Jagan continued to reveal the problems faced by Agrigold victims. He explained how 8 lakh victims were leaving their villages and more than 100 suicides took place. YS Jagan reminded that the customers and agents of Agrigold had appealed for CBI inquiry in the High court as they knew that the inquiry ordered by Chandrababu Naidu would do them no justice.
Neither Sitaram Avvas nor Uday Kiran was arrested by CID. Five other people had been arrested instead. He demanded the Government to order for CBI inquiry on Agrigold scam and for auction of Agrigold properties under the supervision of the High Court’s judge. He reminded that SEBI had suggested for ban of Agrigold company in 1998 and questioned why TDP had not done that, while presenting the picture that Chandrababu had taken with the chairman of Agrigold.
YS Jagan complained the irregularity of CID inquiry. He demanded that inquiry was done on all the 155 companies owned by Agrigold. The chairman’s son started a gold store in Dubai. No investigation had touched him. CID was boldly stating in front of the court that no arrest was needed. He demanded promise of justice from the Government.

Huge scam in power purchase

  • A scam uncovered directly by the Central Government
  • YS Jagan questions the Government in the assembly
Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan stated that a scam of almost Rs.4500 crore had taken place in purchase of electricity. He remarked that Chandrababu’s Government would not change its ways in spite of the central Government agencies’ directly revealing it. The TDP Government chose to bluff instead. During the discussion in the assembly on electricity accounts, YS Jagan explained the details of the scam with numbers.
At present electricity was available round the clock at Rs.2.71 and at Rs.1.90 during the night time, which means average cost of electricity was Rs.2.40. Still Chandrababu’s Government was buying it for Rs.5.11, YS Jagan explained. In a note from central Government agency Indian Energy Exchange, this act had been criticized, he revealed. He added that this was being defended shamelessly by the state Government. On this occasion, he read out all the related numbers.

Fibre optic contract stinks corruption

  • Babu is Supervising the Corruption
  • Rs.330 crore contract to Babu’s allies
  • Leader of opposition YS Jagan uncovers Tera company’s face
Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan uncovered the real face of fibre optic grid project. He explained how this arrangement was being done in view of getting hold of all the television channels in the state. After CM Chandrababu Naidu’s speech, leader of opposition YS Jagan spoke regarding this issue.
YS Jagan described the fibre optic cable issue as a programme to give away Rs.330 crore of people’s money to Babu’s allies. The state Government had put Tera software company in black list for failing to arrange e-pass machinery to cheap stores in public distribution system. YS Jagan questioned how the fibre grid project could be given to such a blacklisted company. He explained that the owners of this company had close relations with the owners of Heritage Foods. He reminded that Hari Krishna Prasad who was supervising this company had earlier been caught stealing Electronic Voting Machines.
YS Jagan mentioned that the Government had appointed a high level committee to finalize tenders for fibre grid work. Vemuri Hari Krishna Prasad was one of the members of the committee. He had Tera Media Cloud Solutions under his control and this was a sister company of Tera Software Ltd. Hari Krishna Prasad used his influence to get the work assigned to his organizations, explained YS Jagan. Moreover, Devineni Sitaram, the director of Heritage Foods, worked as the director of this Tera Software till September 2014. This was enough to understand what kind of relations Chandrababu had with these organizations, YS Jagan remarked. He complained that Babu was watching this corruptive act from a very close distance.

Will fight for justice, says Roja

Hyderabad, March 25: YSRCP MLA,  RK Roja has said that she has no objection in appearing before the Privileges Committee but affirmed that her fight against injustice would continue as every effort is being made by distorting facts, concocting stories and resorting to character assassination by the ruling TDP.
‘My suspension and TDP MLA Anita’s allegations are two different issues which are badly mixed up and confusion is being created. The issue before the Privileges Committee is about my alleged remarks on Anita and my suspension involves the issue of my utterances against the Chief Minister with regard to the Call Money Sex racket.
While I am prepared to appear before the Privileges Committee, on suspension issue I continue to fight in the legal forum. On both counts there are efforts to defame me and TDP is resorting to character assassination to which I will give a blow by blow reply,’ she told a press conference here on Friday.
The suspension issue under rule 304 clause (2) does not permit the suspension of any member for one year and we have challenged that in the court on this ground. Legislative Affairs Minister trying to cover up that the rule was wrongly quoted carries no ground as he has a long standing in the Assembly under various capacities.
‘During the debate on Call Money Sex Racket I have used the word Ca. Ma., an abbreviated form for Call Money, which is in vogue and was printed in many newspapers. When the media was agog with the abbreviated form of Ca. Ma., for Call Money how can I be held fault for using the word Ca. Ma. in course of sloganeering in the House,’ she said.
If the sequence of events is looked into very keenly, there has been a methodical approach by Chandrababu Naidu who has usurped power and Party from NTR, the killing of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga and now the character assassination of Roja. Chandrababu Naidu has been using the same set of people on all the three occasions.
To bring up the issue itself, we had to give the adjournment motion twice and protest to take up the Call Money Sex racket. When the Government was on the defence, to cover up its shortcomings and to wriggle out of the situation it has deliberated raised the Ca. Ma., issue and only I was singled out though nearly 30 members have raised the slogans.
‘This makes the intentions of the Government very clear. They are after me and hell-bent on gagging my voice. I will not be deterred and I will fight the suspension issue in courts and other forums as the words I have used were in print in the media earlier,’ she said.
The second issue pertains to my alleged remarks on TDP MLA Anita and her complaint to the Privileges Committee. How the video slipped out of the Assembly and made its rounds in the social media should be answered and those responsible should be punished. The clippings are edited heavily as my dress varies from time to time.
Moreover, while the incident happens on December 18th the members complains on December 22 and if my words were so offending could anyone wait so long to complain as people are impulsive.  This is the design of Chandrababu Naidu to make an issue out of it and the script was written later to implicate me in this false case.
As far as my attending the Privilege Committee meeting is concerned, I have no issue. The Speaker remarking that I am at war is not in tune with the high position he holds. On the three occasions, I was called to attend the meeting, I made it clear that I was in Delhi, in High Court and indisposed. I have full faith in my sincerity and despite knowing well that the majority in the Privileges Committee would be TDP members, I will not shirk my responsibility.
I will give a blow by blow reply as I have all the clippings and my questions like how the video was leaked should also be answered. Why only Roja was shown and why the other provocateurs were not shown should also be answered, she said adding that even Anita knows that I did not utter a word against her but she was only acting at the behest of Chief Minister and other vested interests and summed up that she will appear before the Privileges Committee and fight it out on her suspension issue.

The constituency is happy with Jaleel Khan’s quitting

  • TDP will dry up just like River Krishna
  • Jaleel Khan was followed only by his gunman, driver and PA
  • Activists are with YSRCP
  • YSRCP leaders meet activists in Vijayawada West

Vijayawada: YSRCP MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy opined that the state would enjoy a golden status like during the tenure of Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy if YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan became the Chief Minister. YSRCP leaders Vijay Sai Reddy, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Kodali Nani, Meka Pratap Reddy, K.Parthasarathy, Vangaveeti Radha, Goutham Reddy and YSRCP corporators met the party’s activists in a conference at Vijayawada West constituency. Speaking on this occasion, peddireddy condemned the defected MLAs. He criticized their stating that they had migrated to the ruling party seeing the development it had brought about. He commented that Chandrababu had been developing himself with the money earned through drinking water projects’ commissions.
Kodali Nani spoke on this occasion and stated that Chandrababu had to make his new MLAs resign and face elections if he had any honour or valour. He particularly slammed the MLA of Vijayawada West constituency Jaleel Khan for his defection. He commented that Jaleel Khan’s quitting rather benefited the party.
Later Goutham Reddy remarked that TDP would dry up just like River Krishna and Jaleel Khan had migrated to such a party. He specified that activists stayed back in YSRCP although Jaleel Khan had migrated. Vangaveeti Radha challenged Jaleel Khan to resign and face by-election if he dared.
Ex.Minister K.Parthasarathy commented that the people of Vijayawada West constituency became independent with the migration of Jaleel Khan to TDP. He also mentioned that only the gunman, the driver and the PA of Jaleel Khan had followed him, but not the party’s activists.

YS Jagan’s emotional speech at Nellore

  • I Believe in People and in God: YS Jagan
  • Chandrababu’s intention is to repress the voice of the people
  • Opposition MLAs are hence being snatched with corrupt money
  • People and God will soon teach him a lesson

Nellore: Leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan remarked that he had believed never in leaders but always in people and in God. He confided that he would fight more strongly against Chandrababu with the kind blessings of the people. YS Jagan spoke on the occasion of joining of senior leader Anam Vijaykumar Reddy along with his followers in YSRCP at Kasturi Devi Gardens in Nellore.

YS Jagan stated that the joining of Anam Vijaykumar Reddy of Nellore rural constituency in YSRCP was a lesson to the eight MLAs who had migrated to TDP, having been lured by money. He supposed that opposition was the voice of people, the voice of the people suffering under the rule of Chandrababu. That was why Chandrababu’s Government was keen to oppress this voice, stated YS Jagan. Snatching the MLAs who had won from other parties with corrupt money was part of this attempt, he mentioned. He wished that Chandrababu and the defected MLAs repented at least now.

Character is crucial in politics

YS Jagan stated that people would be watching when one was in politics that was why one should act like a role model. He mentioned that a politician should possess two qualities – character and credibility. He specified the significance of the qualities by saying that not only people but also one’s own wife would stop following one if these qualities were lost. He criticized Chandrababu’s character by saying that he had backstabbed his own father-in-law NTR for power and authority. YS Jagan also disapproved of Chandrababu’s credibility and stated that his credibility was clear from the false promises he had made to the people prior to elections and deceiving them by not realizing them later. When it was clear that Chandrababu himself lacked character and credibility, it was waste of time to talk about the qualities of the MLAs who had been lured by him into his party, YS Jagan opined.

No place for fear

YS Jagan reminded his situation prior to elections. He had resigned to the Congress Party that was in power and came into people. Then there were 175 vacant seats and no leaders to be seen. Still there was no fear, he mentioned. He stated that he was neither scared of Sonia Gandhi who had been in power nor scared of Chandrababu who, in collaboration with Sonia Gandhi, had got him booked in legal cases. YS Jagan added that he was fearless as he believed in God and people. He happily announced that his party had had 2 members at that beginning, but later grew to have 67 MLAs and 9 MPs. He credited this accomplishment to the blessings of God and of people.

Chandrababu’s deceptive talk

Actually Chandrababu had to concentrate on realizing his promises at this point, but he rather chose to attempt to weaken the voice of opposition by buying its MLAs with corrupt money, blamed YS Jagan. He mentioned that Chandrababu had made false promises to dwakra women, farmers, unemployed youth and people of various castes before elections and had ignored the people once he had achieved power. As the opposition would project light on this atrocity on behalf of people, Chandrababu had decided to silence the opposition by trying to weaken it by buying its MLAs with the money earned through corruption. YS Jagan cautioned that Chandrababu’s system would soon see a downfall just like huge kingdoms collapsed in history upon meeting people’s fury, citing the example of Hitler’s dictatorial rule. He added that God and people were watching Chandrababu and would soon teach him a lesson and he would not be able to even earn deposits.

With the blessings of people

YS Jagan thanked everybody in the meeting for patiently waiting from 9 am under hot sun. He confided that he would be able to gather more strength with their blessings to fight against Chandrababu. He affectionately invited Anam Vijaykumar into YSRCP family.

Chickpea Farmers to be Helped : YS Jagan

  • Farmers awaiting insurance money
  • Thousands of farmers deceived with lame reasons
  • YS Jagan mentions the problems faced by chickpea farmers

Hyderabad: Leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan appealed to the Government to come to the aid of the troubled chickpea farmers. He informed that the farmers in YSR district were facing problems, not receiving insurance amount. YS Jagan mentioned this issue during the question hour of assembly session.
He revealed how the farmers had lost their Rabi season crop in 2012. The relevant insurance amount was to reach the farmers in 2013 but the 56,000 farmers were still waiting to receive it, stated YS Jagan. He added that some of the amount was released to 29,000 farmers recently upon repeated pressure applied on the Agricultural Insurance Corporation. He complained that the application documents of the rest of the farmers were being told to have faults and suggested that such a case should rather have been mentioned in the beginning instead of pushing the farmers into distress now.
YS Jagan revealed that even the 29,000 farmers received Rs.95 crore of insurance instead of the actual amount Rs.132 crore. He questioned how the amount would be enough for them. He suggested the Government to take action pertaining to this issue.

TDP’s Vengeful Attitude towards the Opposition

Hyderabad: YSRCLP meeting took place at the party’s office in Lotus Pond. YSRCP MLAs, MLCs and prominent leaders attended this meeting presided by leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan. YSRCP MLAs spoke to the media before the commencement of the meeting. They criticized that the TDP Government was behaving with arrogance offered by being in power and trying to suppress the voice of the opposition.
Meka Pratap Apparao (MLA of Nuzivid)
MLA Meka Pratap Apparao criticized the Government for its behaviour towards YSRCP MLAs and particularly a woman. He condemned not allowing MLA Roja into the assembly inspite of coming with High Court’s orders. He mentioned that Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy used to take things in a sportive manner but the present Government was holding vengeance. He stated that they would discuss with their party’s president YS Jagan to take a decision. Pratap Apparao acclaimed YS Jagan for being calm and respecting the assembly’s honour when the ruling party leaders were verbally abusing the leader of opposition by saying he had high cholesterol and by warning him that he would be slaughtered and buried. He commented that the opposition party was being suppressed for fighting for the people. He suggested that TDP should change its ways.

Rakshana Nidhi (MLA of Tiruvuru)
YSRCP MLA Rakshana Nidhi opined that TDP was vengeful towards YSRCP for questioning regarding corruption and atrocities performed by the Government. He specified that MLA Roja was suspended for fighting against the atrocious Call Money sex racket. Rakshana Nidhi mentioned that the Government was attempting to mask its failure by reducing the number of questioning opposition MLAs present in the assembly. He added that Roja had daringly gone to the court and attained justice in spite of the Government’s conspiracies. He criticized the Government for boasting to be superior to the courts and not allowing Roja into the assembly. Rakshana Nidhi made it clear that they would stand for Roja in her fight for justice.

Visweswar Reddy (MLA of Uravakonda)
YSRCP MLA Visweswar Reddy commented that TDP had been attempting to suppress the voice of the opposition since it had come to power. He cautioned that the Government would face friction for defying court’s orders. He mentioned that the Government was trying to create dispute between the legislative system and the judicial system over not rectifying its mistakes. He reminded that YSRCP President YS Jagan’s suggestion that rule 340 (2) would not allow the suspension of MLA Roja for one year was neglected by the Government. Visweswar Reddy commented that the ruling party leaders were behaving in such a way that they only knew all the rules. He condemned the defiance of the Government towards the High Court’s stay orders. He warned that it would soon pay for this.

Giddi Eshwari (MLA of Paderu)
MLA Giddi Eshwari mentioned that the speaker of the assembly had the authority to suspend an MLA for one session but not for a whole year. She stated that MLA Roja had to approach the Supreme Court to fight for justice as her rights were being deprived. She complained that it was an insult to not let a woman MLA into the assembly in spite of court’s interim orders. She criticized the speaker and the Government for their shameful behaviour. She warned that people were observing the one-sided decisions being taken by TDP-BJP duo. Eshwari slammed the decision taken by the privilege committee. She expressed her displeasure towards the committee’s accepting only the argument of TDP MLA Anitha. She questioned why it did not come to inquiry when YSRCP MLAs had previously complained to the privilege committee against ministers Achennayudu, Devineni, Gorantla and Bonda Uma. She complained that TDP MLAs were being forgiven and YSRCP MLAs were being punished. She condemned the ruling party’s arrogant acts. Eshwari added that they would continue to fight for justice, while respecting the public system and the judicial system.

People, Please Watch the TDP’s Evil Rule

  • TDP behaves as if they will respect only convenient verdicts
  • Defying court’s orders is unlawful
  • People will teach Babu a lesson - Chevireddy

Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy slammed the TDP Government for arrogantly behaving as if their word was superior to the court’s verdict. He questioned why the Government had approached court when it considered their word to be ultimate. The counterclaim should not have been filed in case of lack of respect for the court’s verdict, supposed Chevireddy. He questioned why the Government had gone to division bench. He commented that the TDP Government was behaving as if they would respect a convenient verdict and disrespect an unsuitable judgement.
 Imprisonment is certain
Chevireddy exclaimed that the assembly’s marshal and the assembly’s secretary would have to go to jail for defying court’s orders. He added that they would practically understand the consequence of disobeying the judicial system. In response to TDP MLA Anitha’s comment that this could be discussed in the assembly, Chevireddy questioned if they had to take the microphones home to talk to them when access to microphone was not being given in the assembly.
We will continue to fight for the people
Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy proclaimed that fight would be continued against TDP’s defiance to court’s orders, its anti-people rule, its ignorance of the promises made, its indifference to people’s trust and its suspending rule 71 against the rules. He mentioned that any rule would be implemented owing to the constitution but not against it. He explained that they would take to the notice of the people the misdeeds of the Government. He appealed to the state’s people to watch the atrocities being committed by TDP Government.
 Laws are to be obeyed
Chevireddy informed that every legislative assembly in the country had first obeyed court orders and then approached the court regarding their dissatisfaction. He questioned how the law-making people could disobey laws. He confided that they had people’s support and that they would continue to expose the misdeeds of the Government.
Unparliamentary language of the CM and his ministers
Chevireddy questioned speaker Kodela if it was enjoyable to his ears when the leaders of the ruling party used unparliamentary language in the assembly. He reminded that the CM called an MLA in a vulgar manner and warned he would see his end. A minister remarked about some MLA’s high cholesterol meaning he was arrogant. Someone else called MLAs as pigs in gutter.
Yet another TDP leader called some MLAs as psychos while some other leader cautioned his colleagues that he would slaughter them and bury them in the assembly. He stated that justice should be evenly served to all.
Chevireddy demanded to know why the hundreds of vacant MPTC posts and sarpanch posts were not being filled through elections. He declared that Chandrababu would learn a moral when people slapped him with their votes if elections were held. He mentioned that he did no wrong and if proved otherwise YSRCP was ready to respond.
Only if the assembly sessions happened with respect to constitutional rights and basic principles would Article 212 function, Chevireddy mentioned. He added that the Supreme Court had stated that courts could intervene in cases of violation of constitution or endangered democracy or defiance of basic rights. He stated that court’s verdict was supreme in all the states.
He cited the incident when Lucknow court had delivered its verdict against the assembly’s resolution to arrest an MLA for a week in 1964 in Uttar Pradesh. Then the speaker approached a division bench and that bench too backed the decision of the single bench. Then the ruling party took it to the notice of the President of India and he sent it to the Supreme Court and it too ruled that a speaker had no right to suspend an MLA at his will.
He also mentioned another incident when 6 MLAs were suspended in Tamil Nadu and they approached the High Court. The court voided their suspension and they were allowed to attend the assembly. Chevireddy opined that the Government had the responsibility of implementing court’s orders. He supposed that division bench could be approached in case of dissatisfaction towards the verdict, but only after the orders were implemented.

Roja's suspension was not unanimous

Hyderabad, March 19: Castigating TDP for pursuing its vindictive and undemocratic policies, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said they were denied permission even to express protest on the RK Roja issue and we will boycott the session when it takes up the same for discussion as the State had already made its stand on judiciary very clear and there is no truth in the Speaker telling that the suspension was an unanimous as our members had protested against the decision.

'Chief Minister has been misusing the office of the Speaker on the suspension of Roja issue as well as shielding the eight defected legislators from being disqualified,' he told media at the Ambedkar Statue after walking out of the Assembly in protest against gagging their voice and not allowing them to vent their protest.
Speaker telling that the suspension was an unanimous decision has no truth in it as all our Party MLAs had raised voice and protested against the decision.
When the contempt issue is coming up for discussion on Monday, the House opted to discuss the issue and we will boycott the session and attend the court as the Government had made it clear that legislature is supreme and need not heed to any advise of the judiciary.
'They have scant respect to the judiciary and the House bringing up the issue for discussion on Monday is unfair and we will attend the Court instead of Assembly,' he said adding that the dignity of the court is being degraded by them.
There is scant respect for women and when our MLA went to the House with a letter from the court the officials had misbehaved and said they have orders from the Speaker not to allow her inside the House. This is unconstitutional and a blot to democracy.
When they lured eight MLAs who won on YSR Congress ticket, the Chief Minister had misused the office of the Speaker and made all out efforts to shield the defectors from disqualification.
'A true leader should have two qualities character and credibility. Chandrababu Naidu became characterless when he usurped power and party from NTR and his credibility has gone for a toss when failed to fulfill his poll promises,' he said.

When asked about the issue being referred to Privileges Committee, he said;' the committee is filled TDP leaders and they have a majority and we cannot expect any justice. We have notices citing the unparliamentary language used by the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues on various occasions but those notices were not taken up even once. Now since they are being criticised the issue is being referred to the Committee', he said.

Later, YS Jagan followed by YSRCP MLAs, went to Raj Bhavan to complain against the Government to the state’s Governor Narasimhan. Due to the absence of the Governor, the complaint was handed over to his secretary. Later YS Jagan spoke to the media.
He opined that Chandrababu’s Government was taking the assembly into hands and sidetracking it. YS Jagan complained that the speaker was behaving against the rules in the assembly and supporting Telugu Desam party. MLA Roja was said to have been suspended according to rule 340. But this rule would allow suspension only for a session and not a whole year. But TDP Government had gone beyond the rules to suspend Roja, complained YS Jagan. He then explained the atrocities of the Government in the assembly one after the other.

Is There an Account for it, Babu?

  • Government’s sham accounts on the construction of capital city
  • The yellow Government ingests hundreds of crores of rupees
  • MLAs Buggana and RK demand to know the capital’s accounts
Hyderabad: MLAs of YSR Congress Party Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Alla Ramakrishna Reddy uncovered the atrocious deeds of Chandrababu’s Government at Amaravathi under the mask of the capital city construction. They sternly questioned what had happened of the Rs.850 crore that the Government was saying to have spent. The Government then resorted to counterattack as usual.
 Is there a plan, Babu?
MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy questioned the Government if there was a comprehensive report regarding the capital city. He mentioned that the Government had announced that 30,000-40,000 acres of land was acquired from farmers in the last two years and that a capital bigger than Singapore and Mumbai was being planned and demanded to know if there was a detailed report. He inquired how many funds had already been spent and on what and how many would be spent and how many funds were there meant for the capital city construction at the moment. He recollected that Chandrababu had mentioned that 13,000 acres of the land collected would drown if Kondaveeti canal flooded so the height had to be increased and expressed his wonder saying why Rs.1500 crore would be required to raise its height by just 2 meters. Buggana commented that donation was being collected at Tirupathi and at secretariat and from children and online bricks were being collected. He demanded to know the account details for all these contributions.
Where is the account of expenditure, Babu?
YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy demanded the Government to know what the Rs.850 crore spent for AP capital construction was used for. He complained that the Government was misleading the people and the assembly in the topic of the capital city. Ramakrishna Reddy mentioned that it was informed when Amit Shah visited that Rs.500 crore was allocated for the capital and that the central Government sanctioned Rs.2200 crore.
He questioned where the funds for the permanent capital would come from if Rs.200 crore was spent for the temporary capital. He questioned if it was not true that pension had not been granted to a single person. Ramakrishna Reddy insisted to know why Chandrababu had paid to the companies of Singapore while announcing on the other hand that they gave the master plan of the capital for free. He demanded to know the expenditure on the capital city till date.

Can you give Ultimatum Regarding Special Status and Bifurcation Promises?

Hyderabad: Leader of opposition YS Jagan slammed CM Chandrababu Naidu’s entendre in the Legislative Assembly of AP. He spoke during the discussion regarding special status to the state and bifurcation law. He criticized that Babu spoke in a poor tone here and kept to flattery when he met the centre. He expressed agony for 2-year long wait yielding no result. He stated that the resolution over the special status was all right, while offering suggestions. He questioned Chandrababu if he could give ultimatum to the centre saying that he would withdraw the support of his ministers if the bifurcation-related promises were not realized. He commented that no response was seen in spite of waiting for as long as two years now. Then the ruling party made misinterpretation of this. YS Jagan also suggested that Prakasam district also had to be added along with Rayalaseema districts to the list of backward districts mentioned in the copy of the resolution.

Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Roars

Hyderabad: Democracy was insulted once again in the assembly. Announcing the suspension of the regulations regarding the No Confidence Motion against the speaker, the related notice was taken up right away. Leader of opposition YS Jagan spoke protesting against this.

YS Jagan exclaimed that it was obvious that the ruling party had plotted this conspiracy in view of saving the MLAs that had newly migrated to their party from disqualification. He supposed that it was shameful of TDP to snatch the MLAs who had won with other parties’ sign and B forms, decoying them with corrupt money. YS Jagan commented that the Government was facing trouble saving the defected MLAs.
According to regulations, date of debate was to be finalized after 14 days of submission of the notice of No Confidence Motion. Once the date was decided, information had to be given 4 days prior to it to allow time to issue whip, stated YS Jagan. On the contrary, no time was given for the issue of whip. They made it easy for them to say the members were not reachable, to let them escape the voting. With acts like this, the meaning of democracy was being degraded, commented YS Jagan.
He expressed his agony by saying no rules would be left if all of them went on being suspended one after the other. He questioned the morality behind suspending all the rules just backed by the advantage of strength.  YS Jagan illustrated 2 qualities of leaders on this occasion. He remarked that a leader should have character and credibility and that Chandrababu had neither of these. While he was commenting that Chandrababu’s character was proved by the backstabbing he had done to his father-in-law NTR, speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao turned his microphone off.

Geetha not ST; should quit

Hyderabad, March 12: YSR Congress has demanded the de-recognition of Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha as she does not belong to the Scheduled Tribes and demanded her immediate resignation.
‘After the district administration has ruled that her brother was not an ST, she has no moral right to continue as MP from the quota seat of Araku and it should be vacated to give a genuine person to represent the adivasis of the constituency which runs into four districts of the state,’ Party MLA Giddi Eshwari told reporters here on Saturday.
The East Godavri district Collector has ruled that her blood brother was not a ST and the same rule applies to her as well.
Geetha, who switched over to TDP, had given a certificate taken from the MeeSeva and her application for considered for the candidature of Araku MP.
As her true colours are now exposed, she should quit on her own and we will also take up the issue at appropriate forums, she said.

TDP budget bogus

Hyderabad, March 11: Terming as bogus, the 2016-17 State Budget which is on the lines of Vijaya Mallya’s line of deceptive declarations, YSR Congress has said that Chief Minister and Finance Minister have deceived the people with unrealistic figures and leaving aside all the welfare schemes and the best practices of transparency.
‘It is a very deceptive method that the State has adopted by not giving the revised audited estimates of the previous two budgets (2014-15 and 2015-16) but had just given a list of figures against the set norms like what Vijaya Mallya had done to the banks before fleeing the country,’ party MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy told reporters here on Capital and Revenue Receipts did not change from the previous two years and was shown as the same which raises many doubts and as the revised estimates of 2014-15 and the eleven month period of 2015-16 were not placed and were shown as same or were hidden. This makes the budget faulty and deceptive, he said adding that Chandrababu Naidu owes an apology to the people on this count.
Though this is the third budget after coming to power the promises made in the manifesto were not taken into account and no mention was found in thebudget. The loan waiver of farmers, DWACRA women finds no mention and there is no clarity on how the farm loans which swelled from 87, 612 crores
There were many other promises like old age homes, Anna Canteens, nine hour power supply to agriculture during day time, setting up of Market Stabilisation Fund with Rs 5,000 crores, assuring MSP, allocation of funds to BCs, setting up of agro-based industries, regularization of jobs, tablets to students, 20 litres of water, free education from KG to PG, but none of these promises reflected in the budget allocation.
As the Kapus were on the warpath, the government has allocation Rs 1,000 crores instead of Rs 3,000 crores for the three years. Many other assurances like bullet trains, land to tribals did not find any place in the budget, he added.

YS Jagan condemns the Government

Hyderabad: YSRCP president and leader of opposition YS Jagan slammed the Government for its failure in providing employment to the unemployed. He expressed his objection to minister Achennayudu’s careless response to the questions put by members of YSRCP.
YS Jagan reminded that the TDP had gone from house to house before elections distributing pamphlets of manifesto signed by Chandrababu Naidu that promised a job for every household or Rs.2000 stipend for the unemployed. He stated that jobs had been promised irrespective of educational qualification. Now 1 crore 75 lakh households were awaiting employment or stipend, explained YS Jagan.
Now the Government had conducted DSC but had not released the merit list since 18 months now. So the candidates were left in confusion. The Government itself had calculated at the time of bifurcation that there were 1,42,828 vacancies in the state. But now there was no recruitment calendar and no clue when DSC vacancies would be filled. In addition to not giving jobs, the Government had been minimizing the number of schools and colleges using cluster system, mentioned YS Jagan. Thus the calculation included 7000 extra jobs. He also stated that the ruling party had talked about reorganizing outsourcing and contract jobs but now went on to remove them. He added that 2 lakhs of employees were working with insecure feeling.
YS Jagan complained that Arogyamitra and Gopalamitra employees had lost their support due to the Government’s deeds. He criticized not increasing the salaries of VRA and ASHA workers and getting them arrested for asking for a raise in their salaries. Adarsha farmers had been fired. YSRCP members, led by party president YS Jagan, walked out protesting against the merciless acts of the Government and deception towards 75 lakh households by neglecting to fulfill the promises of jobs and unemployment stipend.
