TDP Scared Of Facing Defeat

YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy said the YSRCP MPs resigned in the interest of the stae and that it would mean an insult to the people of Andhra Pradesh if the Speaker does not accept the resignations. "We demand for immediate acceptance of our resignations. We are ready for the bypolls. Chandrababu is scared of facing defeat and that is why the TDP MPs did not come forward with the resignations," he added.

Chandrababu Doesn't Care For The Interests Of The State

"We have been fighting for the implementation of the promises made during bifurcation from the beginning. We have staged a Hunger protest after resigning from our posts on April 6. We asked for the resignations of the TDP MPs, which would have made our case for the SCS stronger with all the 25 seats. While Chandrababu ignored the interests of the state, we have been fighting for the SCS since four years. We will request the speaker to accept our resignations," YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy said.

JC Diwakar Reddy's speech only to please Chandrababu

Senior YSRCP MLA and party leader G. Srikanth Reddy said that the kind of politics JC Diwakar Reddy indulged in were those of flattery. He said that politicians trying to ingratiate themselves to chief ministers was a common sight. Speaking to the media at the party headquarters here, the YSRCP legislator said that JC Diwakar Reddy spoke only to please Chandrababu Naidu.

Srikanth Reddy also pointed out that it was only due to the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s generosity that JC Diwakar Reddy became a minister. Numerous atrocities were committed by JC in Tadipatri, he pointed out and added that he could not even win a local municipal election today.

The YSRCP MLA observed that farmers continued to commit suicide in Anantapur district and that thousands of acres of land were being snatched in the name of setting up industries. He added that crores of rupees are being spent from the state exchequer for public meetings by the Telugu Desam government.

Srikanth Reddy criticised TDP leaders for not referring to the party‘s manifesto at the Mahanadu. Motkupalli Narsimhulu and Nagam Janardhan Reddy are prime examples of how Chandrababu Naidu used and discarded his loyal followers.

Praja Sankalpa Yatra day 176 schedule

Narsapuram: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will begin the 176th day of the public outreach programme Praja Sankalpa Yatra from Kopparru on Wednesday morning.
The padayatra will proceed towards Likhithapoodi and at Saripalli, YS Jagan will break for lunch. After lunch, at 2.45 pm the walkathon will continue and proceed to Chinnamamidipalli, Narsapuram and at Steemer Road, the padayatra will halt for the day.
In This regard, YSRCP State General Secretary Thalashila Raghuram released the Padayatra schedule today.

Chandrababu blowing his own trumpet

Chittoor: YSR Congress Party Spokesperson K Parthasarathy ridiculed the entire exercise of TDP's Mahanadu and said that it was nothing but just a case of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu blowing his own trumpet. Addressing a press conference here today, he said Mahanadu was organised only with the sole purpose of singing praises of Chandrababu.

Parthasarathy questioned the TDP on what it had done for the people in the last four years and said that no TDP leader was courageous enough to answer the question. He was surprised over the attitude of AP CM when the speakers were indulging in insulting the people of the state. "How could he beam when their party leaders were insulting the people?

The YSRCP Spoksperson said Chandrababu in association with BJP had buried the issue of Special Category Status to AP. He demanded a white paper to be released on TDP's four years association with BJP. The TDP Chief thinks he is crafty enough to divert the attention of people from his misdeeds, he added.

YSRCP MPs to Meet Lok Sabha Speaker

New Delhi: The five YSRCP MPs who resigned are meeting Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan this evening at 5 pm at the Speaker's office and pressurise her to accept their resignations with immediate effect. The MPs clarified that Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh was more important than their MPs posts. In protest against the central government not allotting SCS to AP, the YSRCP MPs submitted their resignations in official format on April 6 to the Speaker.
All the YSRCP MPs gathered at Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy's residence here today. Speaking to media Rajamohan Reddy said that they would meet the Speaker and request her to accept their resignations. He once again said that they would go to any extent for the sake of SCS to AP. Chandrababu was afraid to face by-elections and hence he did not ask his MPs to resign. The AP CM was feeling threatened by Notes for Vote and financial misappropriation cases, he added.

Accept Our Resignations

Seeking support to their fight for Special Category Status (SCS), YSR Congress Party MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and requested her to accept their resignations. The Parliamentarians met the Speaker at her office on Tuesday here. We have resigned for our posts in protest of the Centre's denial to accord the SCS to Andhra Pradesh.

Prior to their appointment with the Speaker, the group of YSRCP MPs gathered for a meeting at MP Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy's residence here. Speaking to media on the occassion, MP Vara Prasad said, "We have resigned for our posts to fight for the SCS, which Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu failed to achieve. He has ignored the interests of the state in pursuit of personal benefits. YSRCP has been fighting for the SCS from the beginning. Development of AP is possible only with the achievement of SCS."

MP Mithun Reddy said they will seek immediate acceptance of their resignations from the Lok Sabha Speaker. "We are hoping for the Speaker's aceeptance of our resignations. YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is working hard for the prosperity of the people of the state. Chandrababu took U-turns by changing stances frequently. We are ready for bypolls.," he added.

Vanchana Pi Garjana on April 30 in Nellore

YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana announced that YSRCP would organise Vanchana Pi Garjana (Deception Day) on June 2 in Nellore to protest against the negligent attitude of State and Central governments with regard to allotting Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. Talking to media here at party headquarters today, Botsa said from the day the state was bifurcated, YSRCP was relentlessly fighting for SCS while the State and Central government seemed unconcerned.

Protesting against the BJP-led NDA government's response to the demand for SCS to AP, YSRCP had issued notices for moving a no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha several times. The party MPs also gave up their Lok Sabha seats in protest, the YSRCP leader said. He pointed out that YSRCP would continue to fight for SCS to AP till it is granted.

As part of protests, YSRCP had organised Vanchana Pi Garjana (Deception Day) on April 30 in Visakhapatnam and would repeat the protest on June 2 in Nellore. The five YSRCP MPs who quit Lok Sabha along with MLAs, MLCs and senior party leaders would participate in the programme sporting black badges and black shirts, Botsa said. He criticised TDP's Mahanadu and said AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was celebrating in the name of Mahanadu while the state was suffering due to his misdeeds.

Botsa observed that Chandrababu, on the day of swearing-in as CM, had signed five files. But none of them had been implemented. He said that the TDP government had failed to restrict belt shops; supply 20 litres of drinking water for Rs 2 under the NTR Sujala Sravanti scheme.

YSRCP will form the government: Pruthvi

Bhimavaram: The mass contact programme Praja Sankalpa Yatra started by YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to understand the problems of the people during the TDP rule has been receiving overwhelming response from all sections. Many are getting inspired by YS Jagan's padayatra and large numbers of politicians are joining YSRCP.

Recently cinema actor and writer Posani Krishnamurali met the mass leader and expressed his complete support to YSRCP. Similarly, yet another film actor Pruthvi Raj met YS Jagan today during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra and participated in his padayatra.

Speaking to media later, Pruthvi said that there was unprecedented response to YS Jagan's padayatra. He said people were braving scorching heat and coming to participate as well as walk alongside their favourite leader all through his padayatra.
YS Jagan's desire to do good for the people was the driving force and this was not possible for everyone to emulate. "A real leader is one who understands the problems of the poor and YS Jagan is one such person. He was receiving tremendous response for the padayatra and it is confirmed YSRCP will form the government after next elections," he said.

YSRCP Vanchana pi Garjana on June 2

YSR Congress will organise Vanchana pi Garjana, a Deeksha programme, at Nellore on June 2 to protest against the failure of Central and State governments in granting Special Category Status (SCS) as a follow-up to the resignations of party MPs.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, party senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana said, the five MPs who have submitted their resignations protesting against the failure of Central and State governments on the SCS issue, were asked to the meet the Speaker Sumithra Mahajan on Tuesday and a decision is likely to be taken by her.

The Vanchana pi Garjana programme is in continuation of the ongoing struggle for SCS and will be attended by the five MPs who had resigned, besides Party MLAs, MLCs and other leaders to highlight the failures of Central and State Governments on SCS and how the Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had pursued with the issue fighting all odds. The day-long programme is in continuation of the struggle for achieving SCS, he said.

While our Party held dharnas and other available forms of protests across the state and at national capital, TDP, which was part of the NDA coalition for a good four years, failed to pursue the issue and when our leader had announced an action plan, they had pulled out of the coalition but did not join the struggle wholeheartedly as their MPs still continue in the Lok Sabha.

The Mahanadu of TDP at Vijayawada has ended like a village fete and people were making merry instead of looking at the serious issues the state was facing.

Not a single poll promise was fulfilled by Chandrababu Naidu and the party has neither discussed in retrospective or has shown the willingness to speak about people and their welfare.

The loan waiver to farmers and women groups were not reviewed and the five signatures of Chandrababu Naidu on the day of his swearing-in remained unfulfilled. The housing, drinking water, closure of belt shops and other schemes announced did not see light of the day, he said.

Good Days Are Ahead For Fishermen Community: IV Reddy

YSR Congress Party senior leader and Giddalur Assembly Constituency Coordinator IV Reddy said that the problems being faced by fishermen community will be addressed once the party comes to power.

As many as 100 fishermen families joined YSR Congress in the presence of IV Reddy. He said that farmer Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy provided power to aqua farmers at 90 paise per unit and Chandrababu put Rs 3. 86 per unit burden on farmers. Strong measure will also be taken to supply quality seeds.

He assured power will be supplied at Rs 5 per unit to ice factory and food processing units only.  IV Reddy said processing units,  cold storages and minimum support price will also be offered to acqua farmers.

He also said YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy already announced pensions to all poor above 45 years  belonging to BC, SC, ST and Minorities communities. IV Reddy said people are joining YSR Congress attracted by Navaratnalu announced by YS Jagan.

YSRCP Demands for CBI Probe Into Kodela Family’s Corruption

YSR Congress Party MLA Gopi Reddy demanded a CBI probe into the corrupt practices of Andhra Pradesh assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao's family. Speaking to media here today, the MLA said that crores have been swindled in the name of mining and fodder and demanded a CBI inquiry into these matters.

Gopi Reddy accused the Speaker's family of using the Kodela Sivaprasad Tag (KST) for indulging in corruption. "They had divided government works into 72 categories and distributed tender forms only to the people who are favorable to KST. This was happening under the supervision of Kodela's son. In fact they have all formed a group and were quoting tender 25 to 30 per cent extra, on each tender" he said.

The YSRCP MLA said the government departments usually question the contractors if the quoted price was even 5 per cent extra, but in these cases there were no questioning. He expressed his surprise that there have been occasions where works have been started even before the tenders were allotted. The irrigation department was a clear example, wherein contractors, officials and political leaders have joined hands and hundreds of crores was siphoned off.

Similar was the case with fodder procurement. Kodela family had siphoned Rs 7 crores by purchasing grass from TDP cadre at the rate of Rs 20,000 per acre, Gopi Reddy alleged and asked the government to show the farmer who was into grass farming. "Kodela's daughter was using sailej machinery to cut the corn plants to the size of grass and was selling it to the government. In fact she was enjoying 50 per cent central government subsidy on this as well," he said.

Gopi Reddy said the sailej was not suitable as fodder for the cattle, but farmers were forced to buy the same. He said the corrupt practices of Kodela's family have grown out of proportion. The son and daughters have distributed government departments among themselves and were involved in corruption at every level. Kodela must be held responsible for his family's corruption, he added.

YSRCP Demands enquiry Into Death of Infant In Srikakulam

YSR Congress Party senior leader Tammineni Sitaram demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to order a probe into the death of an infant who was admitted to hospital with snake bite injuries.

He said that the child succumbed to snake bite due to the failure of the hospital authorities in providing medical treatment in timely. The YSR Congress leader also demanded Rs 10 lakh exgratia to the victim families and take action against the errant officials.

It was unfortunate that that hospital staff pleaded for police protection instead of providing treatment to the victim, Sitaram said that all the responsible for the death of Child should be brought to book immediately.

Is it not deception to go back on your word?

Pentapadu, West Godavari district: After paying my respects to the mortal remains of one of our senior leaders, well-wishers and a multi-faceted genius, Duvvuri Somayajulu, I returned to resume my Padayatra. The heaviness of the fact that we will miss his wisdom and sage counsel remained with me as I set out this morning.
Venkatravamma, who hailed from a very impoverished background, came to me with her son who suffered from acute kidney failure. The poor woman is ready to donate one of her kidneys. Unfortunately, the hospitals in the state lack adequate facilities and Arogyasri is not extended to Hyderabad. Private hospitals say that the meagre assistance provided by the government would not cover the cost of surgery and other related expenses. On the one hand, she doesn't have access to resources to pay for the surgery amounting to lakhs of rupees. At the same time, it breaks her heart to see her son sink with every passing day. This is the state of affairs under Chandrababu Naidu when it comes to healthcare of the poorest sections of society.
Healthcare professionals, who constitute the backbone of our medical system met me this morning. The government doctors lament that though they are ready to offer their services, state-run hospitals are denied facilities and proper equipment. On the other hand, doctors of corporate and private hospitals say that the state government does not settle long-pending bills for years on end. "In such a situation, how do we serve the public?", is their genuine question.
They are denied benefits of government welfare schemes saying that they are government employees, but do not get pensions, health cards or other benefits. The contract employees of the Health and Medical Services department complained that they are being discriminated against in this fashion.
Dentists who met me told me how they ended up paying lakhs of rupees to complete their course, after fee reimbursement had been curtailed. They found themselves trapped in a very difficult situation lacking the means to start a private practice with the government not coming out with a notification on their appointments and unable to work on meagre salaries offered by private set-ups.
The state of pioneering services such as 108 and 104 is pathetic. They are not paid for months on end and their pay structure has remained frozen for years. Worse, there are fewer vehicles today and those in a dilipidated state. The employees face disciplinary action if they raise questions or even termination. This is the sorry state of affairs under TDP today, and it only strengthened my resolve to set things back on track.
Tadepalligudem has been a hub of activities, with all-round development long before Independence. It has always enjoyed good facilities including roads, a rail network and water transport. There are thousands of daily wage labourers from various sectors who are not in any organised category and who spend their lives working in godowns, warehouses and market yards. These coolies or helpers said that on days they found work, they were paid and on other days they were forced to starve. They did back-breaking work lifting heavy sacks and all kinds of load. This led to spinal and other problems at a very young age, they lamented. They developed breathing problems in their forties, they said, as they shared their sorrowful tales. I felt deeply disturbed at the insecure life they led.
I have a question for the chief minister—Your manifesto makes a slew of promises, as many as 15, to workers in the unorganised sector on page 31, including health insurance, social security and interest-free loans. Is it not deception to go back on your word? Is it not a grave sin to let down these poor daily-wage labourers who depend on their physical work for their living on a day-to-day basis?

I humbly bow down to you for your undying support

Tadepalligudem: The YSR Congress party chief and AP Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded day 167 of his padayatra in Tadepalligudem this evening. Before calling it a day, YS Jagan addressed a huge public meeting. Flanked by his supporters at the Tadepalligudem market place and amid slogan of 'Jai Jagan', the people's leader addressed a massive gathering who had been cheering him all along. Asking them not to get carried away by the fake promises of the TDP, YS Jagan said that people should follow their conscience when voting to ensure better days are back in Andhra Pradesh. Here are highlights from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's public address at Tadepalligudem on Day 167 Of Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Chandrababu Naidu will promise a kg gold and a Benz car in exchange for a vote. Would you believe him? He would also send Rs 3000 through his cronies. My advice to you is to say 'No' to that and demand 5000 as that money belongs to us. The money looted from us. Take money from him but when you vote, follow your heart. Only then can set right the present political system. My request to you is to vote for a party that will ensure better lifestyle.
God willing, if the people's party comes to power, we will ensure that your needs are taken care of. During the course of my padayatra, I come across scores of patients everyday ruing about deprivation of Arogyasri benefits. Can you believe it? My father late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's flagship scheme Arogya Sri has been watered down so much that people have been denied medical treatment because of that? Under the present TDP regime, the healthcare scheme which was meant to take care of the medical needs of the citizens of the state has been diluted. The entire purpose of this scheme is defeated.
My father often said that people are often driven to debts due to two reasons—One, to get their kids educated and two, to get their wards treated for various diseases.
During my father's regime, an ambulance would arrive at a poor man's house in flat 20 minutes and after being taken to the hospital, Arogyasri would ensure free treatment and safe return of patients to their homes.
But right now the Ambulance service too lies in utter neglect. One, you can't be sure the vehicle reached you on time. Two, most of the vehicles are in a state of repair that it could break down midway any time! And to make matters worse, the ambulance staff have not been paid their salaries for months.
Under the present Arogyasri scheme, you can't get yourself treated at hospitals outside the state which was not the case during my father's regime. If a deadly disease strikes a poor man's family, he may have to go to Hyderabad for treatment. But you go there only to be told by the doctors that you are not eligible for treatment as you belong to a different state and Arogyasri doesn't apply there! If you have to get dialysis done on a daily basis, it may not be possible as all the rules of Arogyasri have been bent because of which the poor are being denied its benefits.
Like my father worked for the welfare of the poor, I promise to ensure Arogyasri is restored to its former glory. You can get yourself treated for any diseases in any region—Be it Hyderabad or Bangalore. I also assure you that if you are advised bed rest by the doctor post surgery, then my government will see to it that your economic needs are taken of during that period to prevent a situation where a sick person is forced to work in an ailing state.
I just told you about one of the Navarathnalu in my party manifesto prepared keeping in mind the inconsistencies of the present government. I invite you to offer suggestions to bring back golden days and keep the present corrupt political system in check. I seek your blessings and support to stand by me as you would your own son. I humbly bow down to you for your undying support

Chandrababu Conspires To Diminish Sanctity Of Temples

Controversies surrounding the Hindu religious temples mainly the world famous Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam in the appointments in the trust boards and other anti religious decisions taken by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu left the holy places in disarray.

The fresh controversy on the removal of TTD Chief Priest Ramana Dikshitulu and the latter's allegations against Chandrababu government in the maintenance of TTD gave ample indication that the government conspired to look the treasure trove of the rich temples in Andhra Pradesh.

It seems Chandrababu targeted to remove famous temples in the garb of development.  The demolition of several temples in Vijayawada received strong criticism from many sections. The conduct of tantric rituals in Durga temple in Vijayawada and Srikalahasti has proved  Chandrababu  put the sanctity of famous temples at the stake.

Devotees also strongly objected overindulgence of the government in the affairs of the functioning of temples. They also questioned for targeting temples only. Allowing other religions to propagate their faith at the temples and the appointment of board members with non Hindu leaders also drew strong criticism from all quarters

Chandrababu Throws Promises Made To West Godavari To The Winds

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is synonymous to defrauding people in his entire political career spanning more than 40 Years.
The promises made to West Godavari district during his election campaign remain on papers. He visited the district four times and made 21 promises to the district people. In the last four years,  the district has received a raw deal.

The promises includes - Development of dwaraka Tirumala on par with Tirumala,  construction of 500 bedded hospital, DWACRA training centre, shopping mall complex,  Engineering College, promoting the temple town as a medical hub and minimum support price to Tobacco and oil palm farmers.  The TDP Chief also made the promise of creation of smart city in Chata Parru area.

People also brought to the notice of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy the injustice meted out to West Godavari district.

After assuming CM post, Chandrababu also visited the district several times but not a single promise was fulfilled.  He also failed to protect the interests of Dalits who were expelled from Garagaparru village by the forward castes. The promises made to the SC community were also not fulfilled.  Installation of Ambedkar statue, Rs one lakh compensation to the victims, housing, establishment of English medium school and drinking water facility were thrown to the winds.
During the elections,  Chandrababu lured Kapus and other communities with tall promises.  After coming to power all the sections were completely neglected.

People vying to meet YS Jagan in West Godavari

Unmindful of the scorching heat, people are coming out of their houses and made a beeline to have a glimpse of YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is on padayatra in West Godavari district.
All sections of people  poured out their woes before YS Jagan during his yatra in Tadepallygudem. People belonging to Dalit community told the YSR Congress Chief the benefits they availed including housing during YSR regime.
They brought to the notice of YS Jagan the chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's failure in addressing their demands and fulfilling the promises made to them in 2014 elections.  They said government did not release any funds to the SCs under self  employment scheme . They also told YS Jagan the TDP leaders obstructed them from attending the Praja Sankalpa yatra.
