Negligence Of Assembly Officials

Hyderabad: The discretion being maintained by the officials of AP assembly has been exposed.
YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy approached the Information Commission questioning the educational qualifications of the in-charge secretary, the deputy secretary and other officials of AP assembly. In response to this, the State Information Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh issued notices to the PIO of AP assembly demanding explanation for not releasing the information asked for. The PIO was ordered to attend inquiry pertaining to the issue on the 13th of July. Ramakrishna Reddy spoke to the media on Wednesday at the party's central office to explain the details.
This is what happened
YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a petition on the 10th of November in 2015 under Right To Information Act 2015. He demanded to know the information regarding the educational background from school level to graduation level of higher officials of AP assembly. The act entitles the petitioner to know the information with one month of petition but it was not revealed. He again requested for the information in February of 2016. The requested information was not even classified. In spite of being public documents, they were not disclosed even after 8 months of filing the petition. Hence, RK approached the commissioner and orders were issued to the PIO.
Orders of the commission
RK informed that orders were issued by the commissioner to the PIO to attend an inquiry on the 13th of July with an explanation about why the information had not been disclosed. He mentioned that a citizen of India was entitled the right to get any public documents by paying certain fees. He remarked that the functioning of those officers was evident from his not being able to extract information being a member of the legislative assembly. He expressed hope in finding the information he had been waiting for at least in the presence of the commissioner.

TDP Government harming the temples

  • Attack on religious sentiments
  • The centre has to intervene and take action
  • TDP Government is incompetent: Parthasarathy
Hyderabad: YSRCP’s official spokesman Parthasarathy mentioned that it was atrocious to demolish temples and mosques with the name of development and called it an act of attack towards the religious sentiments of people. He slammed Chandrabbau for giving away endowments lands to TDP leaders for meagre costs and now arresting priests in the middle of the night and demolishing the religious structures for saving their unjustly earned properties. He spoke to the media at the party’s central office.
Parthasarathy mentioned that it was unfair to demolish a cowshed and the temple of Lord Krishna in it just to save the assets of a TDP MLC. Parthasarathy demanded answer from the Government on behalf of people. He reminded that an agreement had been made with the concerned officers mentioning the lands of the cowshed had been taken by the Government for people’s benefit and irrigation lands had been given in return to them and that the temple of Krishna would not be harmed but now the word had not been kept, he exclaimed.
Parthasarathy revealed that the temple had been there for several centuries and priests had been worshipping there ever since. He remarked that this deliberate act of hurting people’s feelings had been staged though the temple did not pose any inconvenience to the people and it was not in the way of development. He revealed that Chandrababu had given away the lands belonging to the Government and a corporate institution between 1995 and 2004 through Swiss challenge system and he had repeated the same thing today and criticised that endowments assets were next in line after corporate and Government lands to attract Babu’s greedy attention.
He opined that TDP Government was violating the rule against sale of endowments’ and Government’s properties and slammed the ruling party leaders for predating the lands that had been donated by great people to the temples with devotion. He condemned the defiance of court’s orders in this issue. He challenged the Government to take action against those who had auctioned the lands of Sadavarthy choultry and cancel the auction, if it had any commitment at all.
TDP had been trying to sell the temple’s lands since it had come to power, Parthasarathy remarked. Besides Sadavarthy choultry’s lands, Seetamma trust’s lands and Simhachalam temple’s lands were being given away to Chandrababu’s coterie, ruling party leaders’ benamis and those who had filled his pockets, Parthasarathy complained. He stated that BJP, people and Muslim and Christian organisations hadto speak up against the atrocities of the Government.
Parthasarathy mentioned how the mosque in Ramavarappadu had been demolished and Muslim leaders had been arrested. 30 temples in Vijayawada had been intentionally demolished, he revealed. He cautioned the Government against these acts and called for the centre’s intervention in the atrocities.

Is Babu The CM Of AP Or Of Singapore?

Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA and president of women’s wing of the party, RK Roja questioned if Chandrababu was the CM of AP or of Singapore. She demanded to know how Babu had decided the percentage of Singapore in the construction of the capital was 58%. She spoke to the media at the party’s central office in Lotus Pond of Hyderabad. She opined that Singapore’s companies were enjoying many times the benefits with an investment as low as Rs.350 crore. She complained that the companies just took care of construction while land, water, electricity and other resources were being provided.
Everything is foreign
Roja remarked that Babu was placing AP in the hands of foreign people, after all these years of enjoying independence from foreign people with great deal of difficulty. She criticised the ruling party leaders for playing the fiddle for whaever Chandrababu had to say and do. She complained that corruption was going on in the deals with Singapore and stated that they would go to Delhi and meet PM Modi in order to stop the implementation of Swiss challenge system. She spoke against buying lands in the capital area in the name of benamis and now dealing with companies of Singapore to benefit the benamis again.
Destruction in the name of Amaravathi
Roja commented that Babu had been planning to cause the destruction of the state in the name of capital city construction. She reminded that Kelkar committee appointed by the central Government had reported that Swiss challenge system was unsuitable to the situation and that the Supreme Court also had advised against it. She stated that YSRCP would relentlessly fight against the system. She mentioned that people would keep Chandrababu at a distance in future just like they maintained distance from Sonia Gandhi who had broken the state into two. She blamed Babu for changing Telugu Desam Party into Telugu Dongala Party (a party of thieves).
Modi for Make In India and Babu for Take In India
Roja commented that Babu was branding ‘Take in India’ just like Modi was branding ‘Make in India’. She questioned the silence of BJP leaders towards Chandrababu’s corrupt rule. She exclaimed that the capital city did not belong to Babu or his family but belonged to the state. She remarked that Babu as well as the Singapore’s companies knew pretty well that TDP would not come into power the next time. Hence they had included the clause that the system had to continue with any Government in future, she added. She slammed TDP’s control on news channels and filling cases against people who spoke against them or resorting to cruel things like putting their fields on fire.
No police
Roja commented that Chandrababu had adopted the situation from the movie of his brother-in-law and MLA Balakrishna with the famous line “no police”. She complained that there was no police intervention when Babu’s craze for publicity had killed 29 people in Godavari pushkarams, TDP leaders’ misdeeds had caused the death of Rishiteswari, when hundreds of women had been harassed through prostitution in Call Money sex scam or when Chintamaneni had assaulted Vanajakshi. Roja remarked that Babu’s behaviour was like searching for a gold tumbler for water when a person was dying.

Kodela Must Be Disqualified - Ambati Rambabu's Letter

The Chief Election CommissionerDt:28th June 2016

New Delhi
(Though Chief Electoral Officer, Andhra Pradesh)
Respected Sir,
Sub: Corrupt practices by Sri Kodela Siva Prasada Rao in 2014 Assembly Election to Sattenapalli Constituency, Guntur dt, AP—request for disqualification-reg
I contested the 2014 General Elections from 217 Sattenapalli Assembly Constituency in Guntur district of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh from Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), a registered unrecognized political party with a common symbol polling 84323 votes, losing the election to Sri Kodela Siva Prasada Rao of TDP by a thin margin of 924 votes. The election was held on 7th May 2014 and the result was declared on 16th May 2014. After the division of the State, this Constituency now is in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Sri Kodela Siva Prasda Rao in an interview (Face to Face) to NTV, a famous Telugu TV channel having wide circulation has said “whereas I spent just Rs 30,000 for my first Assembly election in 1983, I spent Rs 11.50 crores in 2014 Assembly elections”. He said this while speaking on the money power in politics. The Face to Face programme is a very popular programme having very high viewership and was telecast on 19th June 2016 and was re-telecast on 20th June 2016.
Section 123(6) of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951 dealing with Corrupt Practices in Elections clearly says that “The incurring or authorizing of expenditure in contravention of section 77” is a Corrupt practice for the purposes of the said act and any candidate guilty of corrupt practices in elections is liable for disqualification under the Representation of Peoples Act 1951.
Under section 77 of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951, the Government of India vide M/o Law Notification No. 11019(3)/2011-Leg.II dated 28th  February, 2014 fixed the permissible expenditure for 2014 general elections for Assembly Constituency for Andhra Pradesh as Rs 28 lakhs, which by implication means that any candidate who is found to have spent more than Rs 28 lakhs  for the Assembly elections has unequivocally indulged in corrupt practices within the meaning of Section 123(6) of the RP Act 1951 and is hence liable for disqualification as MLA.
It may be relevant to recall that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has in L.R. Shivaramagowde Vs. P.M. Chandrashekar- AIR 1999 SC 252 held that the Commission can go into the correctness of the account of election expenses filed by the candidate and disqualify a candidate under Section 10A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 in case the account is found to be incorrect or untrue.
In the instant case Sri Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, the candidate declared elected from the Sattenepalli Assembly Constituency in May 2014 has confessed that he actually incurred Rs 11.50 crores (relevant footage enclosed) during the elections in May 2014 as against the limit of Rs 28 lakhs, which is a grave offence under electoral laws.
Because Sri Kodela Siva Prasada Rao himself has admitted to the fact that he spent Rs 11.50 crores for the 2014 election to Sattenapalli Assembly Constituency, I request that he may forthwith be disqualified as MLA.
Thanking youYours faithfully
(Ambati Rambabu)

Amaravathi Is The Victim Of Destruction

  • Babu’s aim is to steal and save for his son
  • Not no.1 coolie but the no.1 CM of luxuries
  • Bypassing Modi in foreign trips
  • What is in the cases transported by flights?:Ambati Rambabu

Hyderabad: YSRCP’s official spokesman Ambati Rambabu questioned why Chandrababu’s family had been staying in 7-star hotel, given his statements calling himself the no.1 coolie of the state. He asked how one can be a coolie while spending hundreds of crores of people’s money on foreign trips and luxuries. He called for a self-check by Babu.
What is the record of investments earned till date?
Ambati mentioned how Chandrababu kept bluffing about going abroad frequently for earning investments for the state and questioned how much amount had been gathered as investments till date. He demanded explanation for how the state was getting investments while India, as a country, was not able to get as many.
Busier than Modi
Ambati remarked that Chandrababu had bypassed Narendra Modi in foreign trips. He asked what had happened to the investments Japan had promised to the state, as mentioned earlier by Babu. He called the countries’ acceptance to write MoMs with Babu as castles in the air. He inquired about the Rs.1,50,000 crore that Babu claimed to have been coming to the state at the time of conduction of partnership summit in Visakhapatnam.
To get investments or to save the stolen?
Babu had been frequently visiting countries like China, Japan, Singapore and Daos not to get investments but to save the money he had robbed from the state, remarked Ambati. He questioned why Babu was always flying in special planes with suit cases. He wondered why the centre was not inquiring about hhis journeys abroad, bypassing the PM of the country. He opined that Chandrababu’s behaviour seemed to be dangerous for the country.
Rejection of special status and begging for alms
Ambati mentioned that investments would come on their own if the situation in the state seemed suitable for them and the situation could be made better with special status. He criticised Babu for rejecting the provision of special status and running for alms from other countries.
Ambati commented that the police were being put under control by the ruling party to in turn control the businesspeople and threaten them from investing in the state. He mentioned that IAS officers advised against Swiss challenge system but Babu was adamant on implementing it. He suggested Babu to stop building castles in the air and stop ill-treating the businesspeople of the country and driving them away.
Singaporians are not going to get mud and sand, are they?
Ambati slammed Babu’s comments that Telugu contractors would build a capital that would look like a slum area. He questioned if Singaporean contractors would get labourers, sand, mud and other resources from their country. He remarked that Babu was destroying Amaravathi with his craze for foreign contractors. He stated that Babu’s greed for commissions was stopping him from offering contracts to Indians. He opined that Babu’s main aim was to steal as much as he could for his son.

TDP Lives On Threatening And Criticising Others

Kurnool: Chairman of PAC and YSRCP MLA of Done constituency, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, complained that TDP worked with the aim of mistreating the MLAs elected by the people. He criticised KE Pratap, the in-charge of TDP in Done constituency and his brothers for threatening officials and imposing false cases on opposition party leaders and activists.
Buggana questioned the TDP leaders how the persons involved in liquor business could be social servers. He complained that KE Pratap, who had links with liquor businesses in town, had been placed in Janmabhoomi committee under 'social server' quota. He commented that sale was being done for 10% more cost than the Government's selling price. He also questioned the justification behind getting the already-in-use buildings in the constituency inaugurated by deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy. He criticised that KE Krishnamurthy had been now initiating the schemes already implemented by the previous Governments. He demanded exlanation about who had sanctioned funds for these schemes.
Buggana ridiculed Somisetty Venkateswarlu for commenting about his bad state of mental health. He added that it was ignorant of Somisetty to think nobody knew about his faults. He reminded how he had gotten ousted from the position of the party's president as soon as TDP had come to power. He added that every petrol bunk and every grocery store in Kurnool would speak about his unlawful 'collections'. He declared that such a person did not even deserve to criticise others.

We will file a written complaint if needed

  • Legal fight will be done if necessary
  • Kodela does not deserve to continue as the assembly speaker
Guntur: MLA of Sattenapalli and speaker of AP legislative assembly, Kodela Siva Prasad Rao who himself had accepted to have spent Rs.11.50 crore during the last elections deserved action by the Election Commission, exclaimed YSRCP's official spokesman Ambati Rambabu. He supposed that it deserved to be registered as a Sumoto case.
Ambati Rambabu spoke in the media conference arranged at the party's office in Narasaraopet of Guntur district along with local MLA Dr. Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy and the party's state secretary Lella Appireddy. He stated that if Sumoto case was not registered by the EC in two days, they would file a written complaint against him and if action was not taken even then, they would get ready for a legal battle.
Ambati opined that Kodela did not deserve to continue as the speaker of the assembly or the MLA of a constituency after himself declaring to have spent Rs.11.50 crore for elections. Participating in the meeting were the district's general secretary Angadi Srinivasa Rao, district's official spokesman Pilli Obulreddy and official spokesman Vallepu Nageswara Rao.

'Chandranna Kanuka' For The Farmers

Hyderabad: CM Chandrababu has initiated the Kharif season cultivation with Eruvaka programme filled with loads of excitement. The yellow media played the fiddle saying the whole stated has engaged in flourished cultivation. Ministers and officials have got pictures taken to show off. But in reality, the households of the farmers are filled with agony and deadly tension.
Crop holiday declared by the farmers
Actually, farmers are supposed to be extremely busy with agricultural work by the first week of June. But due to unavailability of timely finance and lack of possibility to approach banks for loans, farmers are calling it quits with cultivation for the season. Last year, Rs56,000 crore of agricultural loans had to be sanctioned but only Rs.7,000 crore had reached the farmers. The rest of it had been presented on paper or even missed that part. So the rest of the expenditure had been gathered by the farmers from private moneylenders. Farmers of 5 mandals from Konaseema area of Godavari districts had declared crop holiday to avoid more pain and loss to come.
Farmers committing suicide
In 22 days of June, 12 farmers committed suicide. On an average, a farmer is committing suicide in every 40 hours. In the initial days of Kharif season death bells are ringing. Still the ministers of Chandrababu’s Government are choosing to boast about the joyous state of farmers under their rule. Their craze for publicity is failing to notice the agony of the farmers.
Lack of scientific observation
Minimum planning required to observe the needs of the farmers is lacked by the Government. The Irrigation Advisory Council meetings that have to happen annually are not taking place. There is lack of research and examination on the needs of water for irrigation. Certain duties are being performed just for the sake of happening. Leaders are passing time, happy with the publicity being given by the yellow media and staying indifferent to the reality. The Government is publicizing about giving ‘kanukalu’ (gifts) to the farmers, while actually leaving them to suffer and die.

The Secret Behind The CM's Fury

  • Chandrababu furious with the state of pushkarams’ work
  • Orders from CM’s office as per Babu’s fury
  • Higher officials raising curtains to the actual drama
Vijayawada: CM Chandrababu examined the work pertaining to Krishna River’s pushkarams in Vijayawada. He grew furious at the state of the work and warned against delay, particularly while facing the media’s cameras. Immediately, the yellow media started to focus on Babu’s concern about the work and his particularity about punctuality. But the real drama lies beneath this pretense.
Arrangements prior to pushkarams
In fact, pushkarams are not a flash news. Everybody knows well in advance that the pushkarams of River Krishna would be in the second week of August. So budget allocations would obviously happen at least six months prior. It is customary to appoint an IAS officer to handle such crucial tasks. That officer usually carries out the required work in collaboration with the concerned collectors and other officers. But Chandrababu’s rule does not follow such customs in order for the jobs to not finish in a regular fashion. His philosophy is to have every bit of work under his nose. So no officer has been appointed. Tenders are not being called for even after budget has been allocated.
Fury expressed as planned
Chandrababu has gone to examine pushkarams’ work along with certain followers and staff, while making sure the media was there too. He gathered as much anger and disgust as he could upon seeing the delay in the work. He mercilessly warned the officials to complete the work soon, so that the media could catch the depth of his anger. With the issue of orders from the CM’s office in this direction, actual drama will unfold.
Nomination system is meant for sheer robbery
As soon as the CM shouted at the officials about fast completion of work, the yellow leaders landed there. As there is not enough time before the commencement of pushkarams, the work will now be allotted through nomination. The need for inviting public tenders has been safely bypassed. Crores of rupees will be given away to TDP leaders and robbery will be accomplished as much as possible, getting work done for the formality of it. Cheques will be hastily released for getting work done through nomination. There nobody to care for and ask about the quality of work anyway.
Work for Godavari pushkarams were handled exactly in the same way. The yellow media wrote in acclaim of Chandrababu and TDP as usual at that time. The same scene is ready to be repeated now again for Krishna pushkarams.

CM Spills The Beans

Hyderabad: CM Chandrababu Naidu, who is used so much to unfair administration, has spilled the beans during a video conference with ministers and officials.
This is what Babu said:
"Ours is political rule. To win in the elections again, we have to appoint those officials who listen to us and have to put the other officials on hold. In Japan, even the cabinet secretary belongs to the ruling party. Transfers and appointments of crucial positions like DSP and RDP should be sent directly to me. I shall directly look into them and issue orders."
CM has held conference with collectors and higher officials regarding the general transfers of the employees. Ministers as well as ruling party MLAs participated in it. Chandrababu questioned the ministers' indifference towards the transfer of employees. Ministers told him that they did not intervene n it because usually transfers would happen transparently based on the performance of the employees. This caused the CM to furiously respond. He scolded Achennayudu to think politically about transparency.
Officials at shock
The officers and collectors present in the video conference were at shock to hear the CM directly stating that the appointments and transfers should be done in view of victory in the next elections. They have apparently not seen any CM deliver this sort of statements in an official video conference before. They are expressing concern about good administration happening in the state with this kind of ideology and practice in place.

Robbery in the name of Rayalaseema

  • Corruption in the projects
  • Partiality against Seema
  • No provision of water to the area
  • Unjust creation of disparities among areas
  • State’s benefits mortgaged to KCR
  • Srikanth Reddy slams TDP Government
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy criticised that TDP had been robbing projects with the name of Rayalaseema and that the people of the area were finally shown empty hand. He slammed TDP’s indifference to the waters of Krishna river that dictated the situation of Rayalaseema districts as well as Prakasam and Nellore districts. He spoke to the media at the party’s central office in Hyderabad.
Srikanth Reddy condemned irrigation minister Devineni Uma for attending the Krishna Water Management Board meeting held at Delhi, unplanned. He complained that CM Chandrababu and irrigation minister Devineni Uma were mortgaging the benefits of the state to Telangana by staying negligent towards the unlawful extraction of river waters by Telangana Government through Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi projects in spite of already having plenty of water. He called water scarcity one of the important problems the state had been facing since bifurcation had happened. He slammed the Government’s negligence in not communicating with YSRCP and YS Jagan and not questioning Apex council.
Srikanth Reddy reminded how former CM Rajasekhar Reddy had worked in getting permissions and fund sanctions for Polavaram project that would be a solution to the problems of the state, when nobody else were bothered about it. He added that YSR had finished the left and right canals. But Chandrababu, on the other hand, had committed to corruption of worth Rs.1800 crore in the name of Pattiseema scheme and called it quits by joining a few pipelines. He questioned if the Government had granted at least a drop of water to Rayalaseema, having bluffed that Pattiseema scheme was meant for that area alone.
Srikanth Reddy reminded how MP YV Subbareddy had questioned in the parliament if Pattiseema was part of Polavaram project or not and TDP had answered it was not, much to the surprise of the BJP leaders too. Now this had led Telangana to demand for 40 TMC share in Pattiseema and 95 TMC share in Polavaram, he complained. He opined that the chief ministers of both the states together were destroying the future of the people of Rayalaseema, Nellore, Prakasam districts.
Srikanth Reddy slammed Devineni Uma for being partial against Rayalaseema, being the person who had held dharna earlier when YSR had initiated Pothireddypadu project. He stated that YSRCP’s repeated pleas about the water scarcity in Rayalaseema and about the importance of maintenance of 854 feet deep water in Srisailam reservoir In order to provide water to Rayalaseema via Pothireddypadu and Veligonda had gone waste.
He exclaimed why TDP could not even mention Rayalaseema in the river board meeting. He objected to the lack of commitment of TDP towards the people of Rayalaseema and negligence to answer YSRCP’s questions regarding the issue. He slammed the Government for blaming YSRCP for the disparities created by TDP among areas. He reminded that YSRCP was the only party wishing for people to stay united.

Are The Defectors Ready For By-Elections?

Hyderabad: YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy questioned the defectors of the party if they were ready for by-elections. He opined that defecting a party being in the position of MLA was unethical. He suggested that all the defectors should resign and seek fresh mandate. He spoke to the media at the party's central office in Hyderabad.
Mithun Reddy questioned the scope of development in the state in light of none of the promises made by Chandrababu at the time of 2014 elections being realised. He remarked that the defecting MLAs migrated to TDP not by being attracted to the development as they were bluffing but for selfish benefits. He challenged the defectors to resign to the positions that they had earned using YS Jagan's name and YSRCP's sign.

No chance of leaving YS family

  • TDP is spreading false news
  • YSRCP MLA Meka Pratap Apparao
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA of Krishna district's Nuzivid constituency, Meka Pratap Apparao stated that he would not leave YSRCP at any chance. He mentioned that TDP had been spreading false rumours about 3 MLAs from Krishna district quitting YSRCP. Speaking to the media at the partys central office, he condemned the TDP leaders' allegations.
Pratap Apparao specified that they were disciples of Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy and would stand by his family all their lives. He mentioned that TDP had been spreading these rumours, being unable to digest the affection YSRCP had been garnering from people.
Apparao opined that the leader of opposition and YS Jagan had been gaining more and more affection and trust from people. He remarked that the defectors of the party were already repenting their decision. He also confided that TDP would be left empty in a year and all the leaders would line up to join YSRCP.

YSRCP demands Speaker’s resignation

Hyderabad, June 21: Demanding the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao for his declaration of the high volume of amount spent for winning the Sattenapalli seat, YSR Congress has said that Election Commission should take up the case suo motu for breach of election code of conduct.
‘Kodela Siva Prasada Rao has confessed in an interview to a television channel that he has spent Rs 11.50 crores to win the Sathunapalli seat, where he could get a majority of  924 votes, and the Election code does not permit to spend such a huge amount for an assembly election,’ party PAC member Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Tuesday.
There is no need for any case or investigation as the incumbent has confessed that he has spent the amount which is many times more that the stipulated sum and we demand that he quit the post immediately on moral grounds.
Failing which we will write to the Election Commission to take up the case suo motu as the breach of election code has been blatant. We will also explore other options to put the record straight, he said.
As he has spent such a whopping amount, his family is in a hurry to plough back the money and is resorting to large scale corruption in both Sattenaplalli and Narsaraopet assembly constituencies. His family members have been involved in irregularities in construction of toilets and cremation grounds as well.
They are also using police to settle civil disputes and his son is involved in land grabbing, he said.

Farmers Terrified To Sow For The Next Crop

Hyderabad: The situation of farmers in the state is deteriorating by the day under Chandrababu’s rule. Having fallen victim to the betrayal of Chandrababu in the name of loan waiver, they are terrified to initiate the new season’s crop production.
The general system of agriculture
Farmers have been utilising banking services for agricultural expenditure since many years. During the rule of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, he took many measures in their benefit. He encouraged bankers to establish branches in rural areas. This increased access to the banks for farmers. Loans used to be available free of interest until Rs.1 lakh and for 0.25% interest between Rs.1-3 lakh. The farmers were able to pay their loans before the season ended and were able to go for new loans again. The banks also used to benefit due to the increasing number of borrowers for every season, thereby increasing the loan target.
Result of Chandrababu’s backstabbing
Believing in Chandrababu’s promise about waiver of loans, the farmers stopped paying interest, giving way to piling up of penalties and compound interests. The farmers are not able to approach the banks due to the already-piled up loans with 14-18% interest. Last year Rs.56,000 crore of target was set to loan to farmers, but only Rs.7000 crore reached the farmers. So the farmers have no option but to approach moneylenders.
Lack of moneylenders due to sex racket
Chandrababu raised curtains to a new drama when the TDP leaders’ Call Money sex racket surfaced. He ordered for attacks on moneylenders throughout the state. The police filed cases against small scale lenders. This has put a halt to their activities since last year. Only the large scale moneylenders belonging to TDP have survived. The farmers approaching these lenders are obviously imposed with high rates of interest.
Disinterest in agriculture
There is no assistance in the form of input subsidy either. As a result of lack of availability of money to invest, the farmers are unable to dare to sow for their next crop.

Eruvaka Only For Photo-Op

Hyderabad, June 20: Pooh-poohing the Eruvaka programme of Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress has said the TDP government should first categorically state when water would be given to the farmers instead of putting up such a show.
‘Erukavaka by Chandrababu Naidu is ridiculous as he has described agriculture as a wasteful activity. It is being carried out as a photo opportunity and the government lacks sincerity, ‘party spokesperson K Pardhasarathi told reporters here on Monday.
On many occasions, Chandrababu Naidu’s anti-farmers policies came to the fore. Instead of making a show by carrying out Eruvaka, Chandrababu Naidu should tell the farmers when the water will be released, how much quantity of seeds would be released and when and when the loans would be waived, he said.
Farmers have been pushed into a debt trap due to the faulty policies of the government and the Eruvaka with the Chief Minister in a new avatar would only serve as a photo opportunity, he said. Though khariff season has begun, the irrigation development meetings were not convened and no plan has been finalized which shows the intention of the state, he said.

TDP selling temple lands on a platter

Hyderabad/Guntur, June 19: Taking strong objection to the way in which crores of rupees worth of temple lands were secretly auctioned at a throw-away price, YSR Congress has said that its fact-finding committee was stopped by TDP cadre at Amaravathi which has provided credence to the misappropriation of temple lands belonging to Amareswara located in Chennai. Platter
‘The way the auction has been conducted and the land being given away to TDP coterie at about Rs 25 lakhs while the original price would be crores of rupees shows the intent of the government and our fact-finding committee will pursue the matter further and will reach Chennai on June 26 and will submit a report to our Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,’ party leaders Dharmana Prasada Rao and Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Sunday.
Dharmana Prasda Rao, who heads the fact finding committee along with leaders of Krishna, Guntur and Nellore districts were stopped by TDP workers at Amaravathi when they were enquiring about the temple lands belong to Amareswara Swamy which are now in Chennai.
The lands were auctioned secretly and only three bidders were present as no public notice was given well in advance as per the stipulated norms while lands worth Rs 6.25 crores were given away on a platter for just Rs 25 lakhs per acre.
This has been the commercial agenda of Chandrababu Naidu which he has been pursuing ever since TDP came to power and is continuing.
Our Party President has formed a fact-finding committee to bring out the facts of the underrated auctions and we are supposed to talk to journalists, religious organisations and other concerned parties but TDP workers stopping us at Amaravathi shows that the government has been involved in the misappropriation of land and unethical auction, they said.
We will pursue our mission and will visit Chennai to find out the details of the auction of the land, the extent of land given by the erstwhile rulers to the temple and how it changed hands.
Government and people close to government encroaching government and temple lands is a dangerous trend which should be stopped henceforth and we will explore options to stop such misdeeds, they said.
Earlier too when there was a case of encroachment and illegal mining of lime stone at Piduguralla, the complainant was threatened by police and the government tried to get away from the lurch, they said.
We will pursue the matter and the action should be cancelled and a fresh one should be conducted as per the stipulated norms, they said.

YSRCP demands tough anti-defection law

Hyderabad, June 18: Welcoming the remark of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on the need to strengthen the anti-defection law, YSR Congress has said that an ordinance to that effect should be passed immediately to safeguard parliamentary democracy.
'It was very wise on part of senior parliamentarian and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs to say that the membership of the defectors should be cancelled immediately and as our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier pointed out the power to disqualify such turncoats should lie with the Election Commission and not the Speaker,' party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy told reporters here on Saturday.
The Union Minister had said that defectors have been mocking at democracy by switching sides and this practice is very bad. Any defector should be immediately disqualified and the law should be strengthened, he opined.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier given representations to the Lok Sabha Speaker, Union Home Minister and others seeking disqualification of the defectors and had also demanded that the power of disqualifying defectors should be with the Election Commission and not with the Speaker, who always happens to be member of the ruling party.
Since the union minister for Parliamentary Affairs had expressed the view, an ordinance strengthening the anti-defection law should be brought in immediately and the Act can be amended in the ensuing session, he said.
He also took objection the remarks of Chief Minster that there is need to rear more children and said he has been incoherent of late.
The law and order situation has worsened in the state and crime against SCs and STS were on the rise, he said.

Additional Imposition Is The Ultimate Aim

Hyderabad: Higher officials are growing scared of CM Chandrababu Naidu’s craze for luxuries. While the Government is planning to impose the expenditure for these luxuries on people, the officials are having to advise the Government against it. This illustrates the situation of Chandrababu’s Government.
Though Chandrababu’s Government has been ruling the state since two years, there are not even a handful of things done to benefit the people. The frequent trips abroad with hundreds of people are diminishing the treasure of the state. On the other hand, the CM’s journeys within the state are only happening by air.
The Government is planning to increase the income of the state to accommodate these expenditures. Having decided to collect additional Rs.4000 crore, they imposed many charges on the people. With that inspiration, this year’s target has been increases to Rs.11,000 crore. Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has sent a word to all the Government offices in this direction.
Even the officials of the Government are at disgust with these attempts of the Government and advised against them. The officials of registration and commercial taxes departments spoke about the lack of possibility of imposing additional charges at once. Hence, the Government decided to increase the sales of liquor to compensate the gap!!

YS Jagan Is The Protagonist Of The Present Telugu Politics

Hyderabad: The speech delivered by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan in the general body meeting held at Vijayawada has attracted the youth. Particularly, the mention of cinematic words in his speech have been a topic of discussion in social media.
YS Jagan is trying to elaborately explain the ongoing political scenario in the state to the people. He is apparently trying to include the youth and the students in his target audience. He is speaking more about Chandrababu's corruption and incompetence. He is bringing to the notice of the people how YSRCP has been fighting against them.
In the recent speeches, he has been citing examples from the movies. Particular mention is being done about how usually antagonists seem to have the upper hand initially but how ultimately protagonists win. He is talking about how the atrocities committed by antagonists or villains are exposed and how they are defeated by the protagonists. The Telugu-speaking youth, who are naturally lovers of the cinema, are being attracted to such speeches.
Discussion is happening on the social media about this. YS Jagan is being described as the protagonist of reality politics scenario. People are carefully observing how he is fighting against Chandrababu, the antagonist. They are admiring the hero of the Telugu politics of the present day.

What's With Chandrababu And The Capital Area?

  • Lands not being leased to farmers
  • Government passing time with lame excuses
  • Labourers meet the same fate
Amaravathi: The Government that is hastily shifting its employees to the capital region is just ignoring the farmers who have sacrificed for the sake of the capital. Chandrababu is simply passing time in Velagapudi, not bothering to even lay eye on other villages. He is scared of being confronted about compensation promised to the farmers.
Lies told at that time
Chandrababu’s Government has uttered many lies for snatching lands from farmers. Many false promises were done like allocation of plots in the same village at the same location to the farmers giving away their lands, Government jobs to the educated members of the farmers’ households, free food in Anna canteens to be established in all villages and cities, old age homes for the aged and pensions for agricultural labourers.
All the promises ignored
Hasty trials are being made to give away the lands in capital area to companies of Singapore. Nobody seems to be bothered about giving plots to the farmers. Minister Narayana, however, is mentioning the plots now and then.
Farmers awaiting their benefits
Chandrababu entered into agreement with 24,000 farmers about paying their taxes without fail every year with additional 10% as interest. As part of this, Rs.30,000-50,000 was promised to every farmer. At first, the payment was done to gain the trust of the farmers and convince the others. But this year’s tax has not been paid.
Pension that should be given to farmers also is at stake. Almost 50,000 agricultural labourers lost their livelihood. Showing lame excuses, only 38,000 of them were concluded to be eligible for pension. Even from them, only 20,000 of them were filtered to be eligible, citing various reasons. They have been roaming around CRDA office since March due to not receiving their pension.
That explains his distance from the villages
Knowing all these facts well, Chandrababu and his ministers are staying away from those villages except Velagapudi. Scared of being questioned, they are just keeping officials available for people while they are keeping distance.

Turncoats Have No Moral Right To Speak On YS Jagan

Hyderabad: Reiterating that the defected legislators should seek a fresh mandate, YSR Congress has said that the MLAs have no moral right to criticize YS Jagan and the defections did not hamper the Party prospect but have strengthened the resolve to defeat to corrupt TDP.
‘Party leaders who were sold out for favours and money speaking ill of YS Jagan cuts no ice as they have defected for personal gains and they should seek a fresh mandate before making any challenge,’ party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Thursday. The defected leaders have been parroting the script of Chandababu Naidu and the TDP President should ask the defectors to seek a fresh mandate failing which they have no moral right to speak against our leader as they have won the election on our Party symbol, he said.
‘Even if 20 odd legislators switch sides there is no danger to our Party and it will gain moral courage to win the next election as the resolve to fight corruption will strengthen. The turncoats speaking on YS Jagan is something against the moral value system.
‘Without calling off the first marriage you cannot enter into wedlock for the second time even legally and what the turn coats have done is the same. They did not quit the assembly and have crossed over and TDP luring MLAs in Telangana for MLC seat is widely known, he said adding that the switching over is sheer opportunism.
‘Sobha Nagi Reddy had quit her PRP seat before joining YSRCP so did many Congress and TDP legislators and we have maintained the high moral values of parliamentary democracy and if some greedy people go to the other side, out Party will not lose its sheen,’ he said.
