Lokesh is not qualified enough to call YS Jagan for a meeting

  • Lokesh, talk according to your level
  • We shall uncover Babu’s corruption and atrocities
  • Political veterans of Delhi at astonishment due to Babu’s misdeeds
  • Babu has taken AP to the first place in the list of corruption
  • Babu will soon learn a lesson
  • Defectors must resign
  • Till then, Save Democracy movement will continue
  • YSRCP will continue to fight: Ambati

Guntur: Official spokesman of YSRCP, Ambati Rambabu criticised Chandrababu’s uninterrupted corruption in the state. He complained that Chandrababu had looted the Government’s oney as well as the people’s money and had spent Rs.20-30 crore of it to buy each of the opposition MLAs. He exclaimed that Chandrababu could commit corruption of worth Rs.1,34,000 crore in just 2 years. Ambati stated that the senior leaders at New Delhi were astonished upon knowing the misdeeds of Chandrababu. He revealed that the team of YSRCP leaders had explained Chandrababu’s conspiracies to lure opposition MLAs with corrupt money and to weaken YSRCP to the leaders in New Delhi. He spoke to the media at a meeting held in Guntur.
Ambati Rambabu ridiculed Nara Lokesh by saying that he was not qualified enough to call the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan for a meeting. He acclaimed YS Jagan as a people’s leader who had started a party against the conspiracies of TDP and won 67 MLAs. He stated that Lokesh, who had not won at least once from the people and who had always been behind his father, calling YS Jagan for a meeting was hilarious. Ambati mentioned that YS Jagan was a leader too huge for discussing with Lokesh and stated that a few activists would be sent to the discussion, asking if they were ready for it. He suggested that Lokesh spoke according to his level.
Ambati questioned the ruling TDP to decide and inform by the next evening if the discussion would take place in NTR trust bhavan or at Vijayawada and when exactly it would happen.
Ambati announced that they were ready to fight against the corruption and atrocities of the emperor of corruption, Babu. He also mocked Lokesh by saying that he could get the support of Devineni Uma, Sujana Chowdary and Prathipati Pullarao or at least that of TDP police JD Ramulu in the meeting. He remarked that people would then better understand how Lokesh and his father were looting them. He also added that TDP leaders would even go to the extent of filing cases in order to win the discussion.
Ambati slammed Yanamala for commenting why the cabinet ministers had given appointment to YS Jagan. He suggested that Yanamala could go and find out the reason from their coalition leaders rather than passing comments sitting in Vijayawada. He ridiculed that while TDP leaders like Sujana Chowdary and Revanth Reddy could enjoy the honour of being in the cabinet in spite of defaulting hundreds of crores of rupees to the banks and being the party president in spite of being caught in ‘note for vote’ case and having to attend the court everyday respectively, why should YS Jagan not be granted appointment by the cabinet ministers. He remarked that Yanamala was shameless to have made such comments.
Ambati mentioned that the TDP leaders were at shock as president of the opposition party had exposed the corruption story of the CM at national level. He opined that neither Chandrababu nor Yanamala nor Lokesh had the ethical right to criticise YS Jagan. He commented that Lokesh was speaking out of political ignorance. He informed that none of the UPA ministers had given appointment to Chandrababu but YSRCP leaders could meet cabinet ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Dharmendra. He stated that Lokesh had to realise the situation at least after seeing that those cabinet ministers had lent a very keen ear to that they had to say.
Ambati expressed surprise at Lokesh’s questioning why YS Jagan was not announcing the details of his assets in spite of his already doing so. He stated that Chandrababu’s declaration of assets was all made up and false. He revealed that YSRCP leaders had taken to the notice of the cabinet ministers at Delhi and the leaders of CPI, CPM, JDU and NCP how Chandrababu and his coterie were robbing the state. He clarified that the leaders had told them that they also had had an idea about Babu’s misdeeds.
Ambati confided that legal intervention would cause all the defectors to resign. He expressed confidence in the judicial system. He conferred that Save Democracy movement would continue until the defectors resigned. He also stated that YSRCP would continue fighting against Chandrababu’s atrocities. Ambati commented that Lokesh was dominating his father in the art of bluffing. He cautioned that they would soon learn a lesson. He slammed Chandrababu for making the state of AP no.1 in corruption in India. He predicted that their ally party would soon teach him a lesson.

YSRCP dharna on May 2

Hyderabad, April 29: YSR Congress will hold dharnas at all mandal and constituency headquarters on May 2 highlighting the failure of the TDP Government in mitigating the severe drought situation that is sweeping across the state and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy along with senior leaders will take part in the dharna programme at Macharla.
‘The state has completely failed in tackling the severe drought the state is facing and could not spell out the contingency plan for the impending drought as a result there is acute drinking water shortage and lack of fodder to livestock while the State has laid its priority in buying MLAs and logging the tally on a daily basis leaving the pressing people’s problems to lurch,’ party leader K Parthasarathi told reporters here on Friday.
In protesting against the inefficiency and indifference of the government in planning and tackling the drought, our Party will hold dharnas at mandal headquarters and RDOs at constituency headquarters, he said.
While the state is facing severe drought, TDP seems to be facing a drought of MLAs which is being tackled with priority while the actual drought is left out as there were no instructions to the Collectors ahead of the summer season of any contingency plan resulting in the increase of the severity of the drought conditions.
Agriculture operations were not taken up in half of the cultivable land in the rabi season which shows that the government has been shirking its responsibility on this front. Instead it has been taking away the people into a dreamland by stating that Ananthapur would be made into a lush field on par with Konaseema in the coming days. But the acute drinking water shortage and lack of fodder to livestock which are the indicators of drought are not talked about.
The state has been making tall claims of interlinking of rivers and providing water to Krishna delta while the reality is otherwise.

Jobs will come if Babu comes to power was TDP election slogan but it seems that Drought comes when Babu comes to power and more so, the state makes no effort in creating jobs or mitigating drought as well, he said.

Who Is The Talk Of Delhi Town

New Delhi: The tour of the YSRCP team in New Delhi led by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan is going on successfully. The team has set out to the capital city in order to explain the corrupted ways adopted by CM Chandrababu Naidu ignoring the benefit of the state and his unjust act of buying opposition MLAs with corrupt money. the team comprises senior leaders, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other leaders of the party.

The large scale tour of a principal opposition party of a state in New Delhi has captured prominence. YS Jagan and his team have already met senior politician Sharad Pawar and communist leader Sitaram Yechury and apprised them of the unfair ways of Chandrababu and his allies. Later the team assembled with Home Minister Rajnath Singh. In spite of being very busy with the parliamentary affairs, Rajnath Singh has lent a keen ear to what the team had to say. He examined the memorandum submitted to him on behalf of YSR Congress party.

In the evening, YS Jagan and his team met JDU chief Sharad Yadav. They explained Chandrababu's atrocities to the leader who is famous for being devoid of any black mark.

The team of YSRCP leaders meeting national leaders in a sequence is catching attention. Prominently the political leaders accepted the copies of the book presented to them containing the details of Chandrababu corruption. The national leaders are condemning Chandrababu's act of buying opposition MLAs. It is only fair to say that YSRCP has succeeded in the tour already.

Jagan takes Delhi by storm; highlights Naidu’s corruption

New Delhi: Taking the capital by storm by highlighting the rampant corruption of Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that there has been a breach of anti-defection law by TDP and the Act should be further amended by vesting powers to disqualify defectors in the hands of the Election Commission instead of the Speaker.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who led the party delegation comprising MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior party leaders on a mission to meet the national leaders to apprise them of the rampant corruption of Chandrababu Naidu and his unethical practices of buying MLAs with the ill-gotten wealth told media after meeting Maratha strongman Sharad Pawar ‘that the anti-defection law is being bypassed by the TDP government by shielding the defectors and even going to the extent of offering them ministerial berths.

This is a bad precedent and a big blow to democracy. As the Speaker always happens to be from the ruling party, as in the past it is also happening now in Andhra Pradesh that no action is being initiated against the defectors and the government is shielding them from disqualification.

The law needs to be further amended and the power of disqualification should be vested in the hands of the Election Commission and not the Speaker which will arrest this trend,’ he said.

CPM General Secretary, Sitaram Yechury, whom the YSRCP leader had later met, said: ‘there is every need to further amend the Anti-Defection Law and expressed his solidarity with YSRCP in its fight against the fight for shielding defectors from defections.

‘The same issue was raised in the Parliament in a different context and we will support YSRCP on the issue and will take it up at all forums as such acts would weaken democracy,’ he said.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed Chandrababu Naidu for his unethical practices and released a book titled ‘Emperor of Corruption’ which depicts the corruption charges with evidence comprising the GOs issued as part of nepotism, the documents of land registrations in the capital area and the various scams which when monetized sum up to Rs 1, 34,295 crores during the 24 months of his tenure.

He has been spending this ill-gotten money to lure MLAs by offering them up to Rs 30 crores and in some cases even ministerial berths and despite our repeated pleas, the turncoats were not disqualified as Chandrababu Naidu fears that he will bite dust in the people’s court as he has been following anti-people policies, YSRCP President has said.

Chandrababu Naidu has been poaching on the opposition turf and has unethically bought 13 of our MLAs. It makes no difference to us, but every person who respects democracy has the right to question such a serious deviation in a parliamentary democracy. The very same Chandrababu Naidu has been caught red-handed in Telengana state while poaching an MLA with audio-visual (AV) evidence.

If a person gets elected on one party ticket is bought and taken into cabinet this will be a blot on the democratic fabric of our country and we are here to highlight the poaching and corruption issues of Chandrababu Naidu government.

Whether it is United Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh after division or Uttarakhand, the anti-defection law should be in force and turncoats should either quit or they should be disqualified immediately failing which the faith of the people is being mocked at.

There is need to amend the law further and we are here to mobilize public opinion by meeting national leaders on the issue as this would percolate from the states to Centre and a day and a situation may arise when the Prime Minister and Finance Minister may be elected from two opposing parties and come together.

After meeting Sharad Pawar and Sitaram Yechury, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has met Union Home Minister Rajnath Sigh and apprised him of the situation in Andhra Pradesh and sought a CBI inquiry into the charges against Chandrababu Naidu.

This apart, the assurances given by Centre on Special Status to Andhra Pradesh, Special Railway Zone and Polavram were also stressed at the meeting with Home Minister, he said

Complaint against party defection

  • YS Jagan  and YSRCP MLAs to New Delhi
  • Babu's unethical politics to see light in the national level
  • YS Jagan to meet the President and the Prime Minister of India

Hyderabad: YSRCP got ready to expose Chandrababu's unethical act of enticing the MLAs of opposition party with crores of rupees and political positions at national level. With 'Save Democracy' as their slogan, a team led by the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan set out to New Delhi. They are going to complain to the president, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister against the purchase of opposition party MLAs going on in the state by the ruling party with corrupt money and the Government's anti-constitutional rule. YS Jagan is also going to meet the leaders of various national parties and explain the conspiracies being plotted by Chandrababu. MLAs of YSR Congress party are going to stay in New Delhi for 3 days.
They are going to showcase the undemocratic encouragement of Chandrababu to inter-party migration, thereby suppressing the anti-defection law. It is known that YS Jagan had already met the Governor of AP, Narasimhan on the 23rd of April and complained against Chandrababu's unethical and corrupt rule. Candlelight vigil had been conducted by YSRCP on the same night at the headquarters of all districts under the name 'Save Democracy', which was supported by people of all social classes.

It is heard that YSR Congress party had asked for appointment of leaders of various national parties and parliamentary parties. Depending on the time allotted by the president Pranab Mukherjee, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister Rajnath Singh, the team of YSRCP leaders will meet them and describe to them the unconstitutional rule going on in the state of AP.

Which Party Takes BJP Very Easy

Nellore: TDP has never honoured its ally BJP in spite of running a coalition government with it. Recently the disparities between BJP and TDP have seen light in Nellore district.
BJP arranged an employment meeting for handloom workers at Venkatagiri of Nellore district. Local TDP MLA Kurugondla Ramakrishna tried to interrupt this. It is the word of the mouth that he called the handloom workers and the Handloom Department officials and warned them not to attend the event. The followers of the MLA also apparently threatened the handloom workers. As a result the meeting was attended by every few people and the officials were completely absent. The BJP leaders raised criticism against the TDP leaders for the failure of their intended event.
While the district president of BJP, Surendra Reddy indirectly criticised the MLA, a normally soft-charactered Nedurumalli Ram Kumar Reddy delivered rather strong statements. He stated that they were being silent owing to being in coalition with TDP, but not because of incompetence. He questioned the sanction of compensation to the drought-affected handloom workers only with the approval of Janmabhoomi committees. He also slammed the issue of pension to the aged only if the managed to impress MLA. He suggested that 100% service should be done to the constituency even if the representative had one with 50% votes. He proclaimed that showing favouritism in service to the people would not be tolerated.

YS Jagan dares Naidu to seek fresh mandate for defectors

Hyderabad, April 23: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has dared Chandrababu Naidu to disqualify the defectors and go to the people to seek a fresh mandate which will stand as a referendum to the governance of the TDP and its corrupt practices.
Speaking to media at Raj Bhavan after submitting a representation to the Governor ESL Narasimhan on the blatant misuse of power and rampant corruption of Chief Minister who is resorting to horse-trading with the ill-gotten wealth, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said:’ I challenge Chandrababu Naidu to disqualify the MLAs and go to the people seeking a fresh mandate which will stand as a referendum on his governance and the undemocratic methods being employed ever since the Party came to power.
We have urged the Governor to intervene and see that action is initiated against the Chief Minister who is facing serious corruption charges and is involved in various scams. He has been using the ill-gotten wealth to lure MLAs from other parties in an undemocratic method.
Some of them are even offered ministerial berth, which will be a mockery of democracy. How can a person elected on YSRCP ticket taken into TDP cabinet. This will not be in good taste and such unfair practices should be stalled forthwith.
Today we are observing Save Democracy Day by holding Candle light protests at district headquarters and will take the protest to Delhi on April 25 to apprise the President, Prime Minister and leaders of all political parties about the rampant corruption and blatant violation of democratic norms by Chandrababu Naidu and his government, he said.
We explained to the Governor the manner in which he has been luring the MLAs who were not elected on TDP ticket by offering them huge sums of money which has been acquired by various scams and irregularities.
We told him about how the Government has issued GO 22 which benefitted selective contractors to get incentives, a percentage of which obviously had flown into the accounts of Chandrababu Naidu and his coterie.
The tearing hurry in which Rs 1,600-crore Pattiseema project was taken up though there is no storage capacity and the estimated Rs 500 crore kickbacks as the government has accepted the excess rate of quotation besides the sand mafia which has mined money for Chandrababu Naidu and his men.
When it comes to capital city formation, Chandrababu Naidu has left all the norms to winds and has breached the oath of secrecy by sharing the information of capital city with a select few who purchased land in the peripheries of the proposed capital city in large extent much before the announcement of the capital area.
From assuming office in May till the announcement which came in December, while people close to him were purchasing land on the outskirts, the government was dropping names that the capital city was coming elsewhere.
After the announcement, even in creating zones, care was taken that none of land owned by his favoured people falls in agri zone and it was seen to it that all the land comes under commercial zone bringing a windfall to his coterie at the cost of native poor, marginal and dalit farmers.
We have explained in detail about the methodology adopted and the commercial agenda of the government in detail, he said.
Explaining all the scams and charges, we sought the intervention of the Governor to take action against the Chief Minister and put an end to his undemocratic practices, he said.
We demand that the 12 MLAs should be disqualified and by-elections should be called for immediately which will serve as a referendum, he said.
When asked about action against the defectors, he said that they have complained to the Speaker but no action was taken as of now and if the same continues we will also seek legal recourse.

Purchase of MLAs like that of cattle in fairs

People's fury towards Babu's degraded politics

Fury and frustration are growing among the people throughout the state against the corrupted rule of Chandrababu's Goverment since they had come to power. Huge negative criticism is being expressed against Chandrababu Naidu for shamelessly buying the opposition parties' MLAs with corrupt money. Everybody is fed up with the selfish behaviour of Babu during his earlier attempts to buy MLAs in Telangana spending crores of rupees of money and now during his undemocratic decoy and purchase of opposition MLAs.
Waving goodbye to constitutional values and the mocking democracy, Babu is encouraging party defection. In protest of this practice, YSR Congress Party is going to hold 'Save Democracy' agitation on the 23rd of this month. Certain political parties including left parties and some people's organisations have extended their support to this movement. The leaders and representatives of those parties and organisations are slamming the TDP Government for its unethical act of buying opposition MLAs inspite of having enough power. They are questioning that this is nothing but hurting the feelings of the voters and hence it would face friction from the people.
The representatives of the supporters of YSRCP's agitation are warning the leaders of the Government that careless and indifferent behaviour towards people till the end of their five-year tenure would result in the people becoming opposition to the Government. Extensive debate is happening throughout the state regarding the unconstitutional behaviour of Chandrababu. A great number of people are coming forward to take part in the Save Democracy agitation being held by YSR Congress Party.
Teams of YSRCP are going to organise candlelight vigil at all the district headquarters. They will also hold large scale public meetings and raise awareness about the Government's atrocities among the people.

A King Disgraceful to his Dynasty

Hyderabad, April 20: YSR Congress would launch a nation-wide protest against the defections and has advanced the Candle Light protest demanding immediate disqualification of those who switch sides without seeking a fresh mandate.

The reason behind Defected MLA's...?

  • Constitution slaughtered by Chandrababu
  • Failure in preventing drinking water scarcity
  • Enticement of MLAs neglecting people’s problems
  • Party defection issue to the notice of the PM, the president and the EC
  • Protest against the atrocious Government
  • Protest with empty water pots on the 25th of this month
  • Candlelight vigil on the 2nd of May in districts’ headquarters
Hyderabad: Senior leader of YSR Congress party and ex.minister Parthsarathy criticised the negligence shown by the state Government towards drought, while the people of the state were succumbing to the hot sun. He commented that the present situation of drought and drinking water scarcity had come only due to the Government’s not taking preventive action. He further stated that the TDP Government laid more concentration on buying opposition party MLAs rather than on the lack of drinking water and irrigation water in the state.
Parthasarathy criticised the Government for not coming forward to bring projects and funds from the central Government that would permanently solve the problem of water scarcity and for encouraging party defection, thereby slaughtering the constitution. He expressed his agony towards the increased number of cattle deaths in the state. He reminded how late CM Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy gave away cattle for free to the poor at the time of drought under ‘Pasu Kranthi’ scheme. He slammed Babu for his inability to provide at least drinking water to the cattle.
Parthasarathy ridiculed Chandrababu’s spending crores of rupees on supply of Heritage buttermilk in order to control sun stroke and fight heat. He stated that it was shameful for Babu to not be concerned about drought, while the Governments of drought states were arranging for water through trains.
Parthasarathy revealed that a candlelight vigil would be conducted at the headquarters of all the districts of the state with the name of ‘Save Democracy’ to protest against CM Chandrababu Naidu’s direct support to defectors and decoying opposition party MLAs with crores of rupees. He also informed that protests would be held with empty water pots in all mandals on the 2nd of May against the negligence of the state Government towards drought.

He reminded that the Supreme Court also had ordered for release of funds under employment guarantee scheme. Anantha complained that the funds sanctioned by the central Government were also being shared among the activists of TDP.

Why are false rumors being published in the Newspapers ?

  • No chance of defecting the party
  • We are all successors of Dr.YSR
  • We believe in YS Jagan's leadership

YSRCP senior leader and ex.minister Balineni Srinivasu Reddy condemned all the rumours being spread about the defection of YSRCP leaders. Balineni mentioned that he, in particular, had been in YSRCP since the beginning and had left his ministry just to come into this party. He made it clear that he along with the other leaders of YSR Congress party were followers of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He ruled out all the rumours regarding their migration to other parties.

Balineni proclaimed that he and the other leaders were completely confident about the leadership of YS Jagan. He opined that minute discrepancies in the party would be solved easily by the president YS Jagan and that defection was not a proper solution for such problems. He explained that he had been far from the party only due to personal reasons but not with an idea of migrating.

President of Prakasam district's YSRCP and Giddaluru MLA, Ashok Reddy declared that the news regarding his party defection were totally untrue. He mentioned that they were working sincerely and efficiently under the leadership of YS Jagan and Srinivasa Reddy and added that such rumours were saddening.

60 years of Nobility

Hyderabad: Leaders, activists and followers of YSR Congress Party wish the honourary president of the party, YS Vijayamma on account of her 61st birthday. Her family members and friends greeted her on this occasion.

YS Vijayamma was born on the 19th of April in 1956 and finished her education right in her village. Then she got married to Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy on the 19th of February in 1972 and came to Pulivendula. She has been the apple of the eye of her family-in-law. As the wife of a great leader who had dedicated his life to the service of the people,  she shared with him the high tide and the low tide of life. Dr.YSR himself had appreciated her for not showing any negative emotion towards him.

After the sad demise of Dr.YSR, YS Vijayamma had to make her entry into politics. She was elected as the MLA of Pulivendula. As her son YS Jagan came out of Congress Party ti stick to his word, she was elected as the MLA of Pulivendula again from YSRCP. Later when Congress Party and TDP worked together to frame YS Jagan in legal cases, she took up responsibility as the president of the party and floor leader and led the party in its journey forward. How much people are against the government

Visakhapatnam, April 18: Affirming that the fight for a special railway zone has just begun, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that Chandrababu Naidu lost his face before the Centre in wake of the various scams he has been involved in and cannot broach the development issue at Delhi, he has also lost the faith of people and if he disqualifies the defectors and goes to polls the it will be pronounced in a loud and clear mandate against him
Speaking to media after visiting Amarnath Reddy, who was ejected from the dharna site where he was on an indefinite strike demanding a special railway zone for Vizag, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said: ’ The government must be thinking that by foiling the hunger strike, the issue has come to an end. But it has just begun and we will take it forward and fight it out till our just demand it met.
Andhra Pradesh State has no railway zone and this was the assurance given by the Centre while dividing the State. Amarnath has written letters to all the concerned and gave advance notice about his indefinite strike which he began on Ambedkar Jayanthi.
Thanking the left parties, Lok Satta, other political parties, trade union bodies and social organizations for extending solidarity for the cause of Railway Zone, he said,’ the region would benefit and employment opportunities would increase if a railway zone is created.
Two years after coming into power Chandrababu Naidu has no time to remind about the railway zone which would provide employment opportunities and a status to the region, besides Polavaram and Special status as he has to wriggle out of the various scams and evade an inquiry from the cash for vote and other issues.
He has lost the moral courage and voice to speak and is betraying the five crore people of the state for his personal issues.
He has been indulged in buying MLAs in both states through the ill-gotten wealth which he amassed through kickbacks and large-scale corruption but has been giving a build-up that he has the support of the people and has been spreading lies that his governance has been good.
Not a single election promise was fulfilled from waiver of loans to farmers and DWACRA groups, creating jobs and giving unemployment stipend. Many contract workers are not getting salaries and their future hangs in a balance and Chandrababu Naidu has been silent on the issue.
‘The anti-incumbency has been on the rise and all sections of people are unhappy about the policies which are adversely affecting him. If he is so confident about his governance and popularity we demand that he disqualify the defectors and seek a fresh mandate.
The results would show how much people are against the government as they are badly affected. I dare Chandrababu Naidu to disqualify the defectors and sort out the popularity issue in the people’s court. He is afraid to speak to the coalition partner at the Centre on various issues of the State fearing an inquiry in the charges he is facing and he is afraid to go to the people with the fear of rejection,’ he said.

Attempts To Distract Hunger Strike

Visakhapatnam: The Government of AP has exhibited its cunning nature yet again. The hunger strike being held by YSRCP district president of Visakhapatnam, Gudiwada Amarnath in view of attaining special railway zone for Visakhapatnam was tried to be disturbed with the help of the police. The leader was forced to join the hospital in spite of his denial to be treated. Amarnath declared that he would continue his strike at the hospital.
Huge number of people's organisations, leaders and followers of YSRCP reached the camp on Sunday. Everybody was rejoiced to know that the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan would come there on the 20th of this month. Everyone got ready to rest at10 pm. At once, hundreds of police personnel in uniforms and in civil clothes surrounded the place. Before people could realise what was going on, Amarnath was atrociously dragged away. He was thrown into the ambulance that was already there. He was then taken to King George Hospital (KGH) and put in IRCU.

People of North Andhra region are opposing the Government's behaviour. They are condemning its dictatorship and silence towards the special railway zone.

Disqualify defectors, seek fresh mandat

Hyderabad, April 16: Rubbishing the survey reports that Chandrababu Naidu has no alternative, YSR Congress has dared TDP to disqualify the defectors and seek a fresh mandate which would clear the chalk from cheese.
‘The publicity stunt of such sponsored surveys has been an old habit of Chandrababu Naidu contrary to the anti-incumbency that has set in very deeply due to his anti-people policies and we dare the TDP leader to disqualify the defectors and seek a fresh mandate which will show the popularity graph,’ party leader Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Saturday.
The same institution which has conducted the survey and gave its report stating that there is no alternative to Chandraabu Naidu in the state had earlier said in 2004 that TDP will retain power and Chandrababu Naidu would be heading for a hat-trick. What happened was known to everyone as TDP lost very badly at the hands of YSR. The credibility of the agency has taken a severe beating and it is the same agency which has again conducted the survey and pronounced that there is no alternative to Chanrababu Naidu.
‘If that is the case and if people believe that Chandrababu Naidu is so efficient, we demand that the 11 MLAs who crossed over, should be disqualified and seek a fresh mandate. It is will be decided in the people’s court as to who is popular,’ he said.
The very fact that the ruling party is luring leaders from opposition offering huge sops shows that it stands on a sticky wicket with the anti-people policies and the anti-incumbency factor is seething as all sections of people are badly affected.
An election at this junction will clearly establish on whose side the people are, he said.
Earlier, leaders of all the 13 districts have attended a meeting chaired by party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and worked out an agitation programme to protest against the indifference of the state in mitigating the severe drought in the state, he said.

TDP medicare policy faulty

Hyderabad, April 16: Reiterating that the TDP government has been neglecting the health sector YSR Congress has said that the State’s lack of foresight has claimed 3,200 lives as it could not buy the required equipment on time.
‘There were 3,200 deaths due to shortage of ventilators and the government has to own up the responsibility as it had lacked foresight and health sector has always been on the neglect by TDP government,’ party spokesperson Venugopal Krishna told reporters here on Saturday.
Of the 3,200 deaths, 552 persons died in Guntur hospital which is close to the capital city and the hospital was in the news earlier for lack of maintenance and mismanagement. The Aarogyasri shceme has been watered down drastically and the state policies are always away from the common man, he said adding the dialysis has been a big problem and the government has no interest in pursuing with the medicare.
The State had lacked foresight and did not buy the needed ventilators in January itself resulting in the deaths and the Government should own up the responsibility, he said.
The Medical and Health portfolio is held by TDP coalition partner and the efficacy of the coordination between the two seems to be very poor.
Chandrababu Naidu has been claiming that the water table is high but people had to travel long distances to fetch a pail of water. The government has been spending huge money on publicity and has been talking tall on inter-linking of rivers but has been taking no steps to fight the severe drought conditions prevailing in the state, he said.

Threat from Chandrababu's Government in different ways

  • Vengeance against the farmers who have not given away their lands
  • Recent threats in the form of road construction
Amaravathi: The Government is taking its revenge on the farmers of the capital area who have not given away their lands. It is adopting different ways for this. Recent cause of worry for them is the Government's marking for road construction. They are expressing their concern towards the unreasonable vengeance shown by the Government.

Same attitude since the beginning

The intention of Chandrababu's Government is to snatch thousands of acres of land from farmers of 29 villages in the capital area. They put it into action by threatening the farmers with false rumours and by luring them. Still some of the farmers denied to give away their lands to Babu. So the Government resorted to unfair ways to attain its selfish means.

The agricultural appliances in the lands of those farmers were burnt. The 5.5 acre sugarcane crop of a famer Gadde Chandrasekhar was put on fire. 5 acre banana crop was brought down with bulldozers just because it was not given away. People in the areas pretty well know that these acts have been done by goons of TDP. Still no action has been taken against them.

Threats with the name of roads

Stage is being set up for construction of roads in the capital area. Huge number of lands are being collected for this purpose. If there are any lands or houses that have not already been given away, marking for road construction is being done on them. Local people have understood that this is an act of revenge. They held a protest in front of CRDA office on Monday against this.

They pleaded to not cause them distress with the name of roads. They met CRDA commissioner Srikanth and requested for avoiding their lands from pooling and saving them from vengeful acts. Srikanth promised them that he would talk to CM Chandrababu Naidu regarding this.

YS Jagan pays tributes to Ambedkar

Hyderabad, April 14:  Reaffirming that the ideals of the BR Ambedkar are relevant even today YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the Constitution which took shape under the great visionary is being sidestepped by Chandrababu Naidu on various counts.
After paying rich tributes to Ambedkar at the Party central office here on Thursday, the Leader of Opposition said that the ideals of Babasaheb has more relevance now and the downtrodden should be made part of the development process and still the Constitutional provisions enshrined to benefit the marginalized sections are not being carried out in the true letter and spirit.
Chandrababu Naidu has been pursiuing with his use-and-throw policy as he pays tributes to leaders on the designated occasions and conveniently forgets them later.
He has shown his contempt towards dalits with his remark that no one would like to take birth as SC and has been making a mockery of the Constitution which was compiled by Babsaheb as Chairman of the Drafting Committee.
It is the constitutional right that funds should be released in proportion with the population and the amount should be spent for the welfare of dalits and adivasis as per the SC, ST Sub-plan. But Chandrababu Naidu has faulted in allotting and spending the amount which shows how the Constitution is being mocked by him.
The same constitution has said that Tribes Advisory Committee should be formed which would have a say in the development process of the adivasis. Chandrababu Naidu has failed to set up the Committee as YSRCP has won six of the seven ST seats in the state.
Dalits who have taken up Christianity are denied of caste certificate and Chief Minister has been very silent on the issue. Though their social and economic status has not changed in taking the religion, their interests are ignored, he said.
The Chief Minister has made mockery of the democracy by engineering defections and shielding them from disqualification. Taking MLAs from other parties without seeking fresh mandate is another insult to the Constitution and the Ambedkar, who has been the Chairman of the Constitution Committee.
He appealed to the people to follow BR Ambedkar’s words ‘ it is not how many days you have lived, but how you have lived those years.’

Naidu owes apology to SCs

Hyderabad, April 13: YSR Congress has demanded Chandrababu Naidu to apologize to SCs for his remarks against them before going ahead with the BR Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations.
‘It is shameful on part of Chandrababu Naidu to say that no one would like to be born as SC and he did not even regret for passing a heinous remark. He owes a public apology for such words and with that his participation in Ambadkar Jayathi celebrations would be a mockery,’ party leader Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Wednesday.
Without even regretting for passing such a remark and going ahead with plans of 125-foot Ambedkar statue could only be self-deception, he said.
Chandrababu also owes an explanation as to why the funds earmarked for SCs and STs were not spent in full or diverted, he said.
In a separate press conference, BC leader R Krishnaiah said that he met YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has agreed to write a letter to the Centre on the reservations to BCs.
He thanked him for the gesture and hoped that BC reservation would be taken up by other states as well.

YSRCP dharna against TDP failure on drought

Hyderabad, April 13: YSR Congress would launch an agitation against the Government’s failure in tackling the severe drought conditions prevailing in the State and its inefficiency in getting Central funds and the callous attitude towards the employment guarantee scheme.
‘The state is facing severe drought situation and the state has been indifferent in addressing the issues and in seeking central assistance. It has also failed in implementing the national rural employment guarantee scheme and we will agitate at all the collector and mandal offices to highlight the failure of the state government in this regard,’ party senior  leader and MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu told reporters here on Wednesday.
The state could secure only paltry amount of RS 443 crores as Central assistance while other states were liberally given the aid ranging from Rs 600 croes to Telangana, in two phases, to Rs 3,050 crore to Maharashtra for mitigating drought which shows that the TDP government is under compulsions and is not in a position to seek the Central assistance to the needed effect.
‘Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will also participate in the dharna programme which would be shortly finalized,’ he said adding that the state has been showing neglect towards the unprecedented drought which is sweeping across the 13 districts of the state.
The rabi crop has come down due to lack of water, farmers suicides are on rise at 306, severe scarcity of drinking water scarcity, fodder and livestock which is being sold away to ablators and farmhands constantly migrating are but the clear indicators of severe drought conditions.
Another indication of the severe drought condition is the glaring fact that of the 4 TMC water released from Srisailam dam only 2.5 TMC reached the destination as there was an evaporation loss of 1.5 TMC, he said.
The rural employment funds were misused by increasing the percentage of machinery component and reducing the human component which adds up to misery of the people in face of the drought. Though the Centre has hiked the number of days to be covered under the scheme from 100 days to 150 days the state is providing employment only for 47 days, he said.
We demand that the input subsidy should be hiked and the number of days under the rural employment scheme is hiked to 150 as per the Centre’s directive, he said adding that the agitation against the government’s failure in tackling drought will be taken up across the state.
The indefinite hunger strike by Amarnath demanding Railway zone would be held from April 14 at Vizag, he said

Minister Narayana's indifference

  • Drinking water scarcity prevalent in municipalities
  • People of cities and suburban areas in suffering
Hyderabad: The problem of scarcity of drinking water is growing by the day throughout the municipalities of AP. The officials themselves have agreed that 90 of the 110 municipalities including corporations, grade 1, grade 2 and grade 3 urban panchayatis are suffering from serious scarcity of water. But the readiness necessary to solve the problem is nowhere to be seen.

Situation in municipalities
At the onset of summer every year, water scarcity begins in the cities and the suburban areas. This is more prevalent in urban areas than in rural areas owing to high population density and low water resources. Also drinking water supply in the urban areas has to happen only through Government systems. People cannot travel to far away areas to get water like in villages. So the municipal department usually forms action plan in advance to face the impending scarcity. Proposals are brought from cities, review of situation is done and action is planned in general.

Minister's negligence
Municipal minister Narayana has been behaving like the minister of capital since a long time, as is the criticism. Primarily formalities with Singapore are being taken care of by Narayana on behalf of Chandrababu. So the functions of his ministry have been pending. Even important issues like review of situation of drinking water scarcity are being left behind. As a result, no consolidated plan has been made to fight the problem.

The people are agonized
People in the urban areas are severely suffering from unavailability of water. Situation in slum areas is worse. The Government has given up on supplying water through tractors. More than 12000 bore wells have dried up. Local officials have stated that they cannot help tge situation unless action has been taken up in the state level.

Thus is the scenario of drinking water in the state and still it is not able to move the unconcerned minister.
