Accord Special Status Immediately

Hyderabad, July 28:  Reiterating that special status issue was being dodged by TDP and BJP, YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu has no right to continue in office unless the issue is resolved. ‘We have undertaken various agitations under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while Chandrababu Naidu had only watered it down on various occasions and he has no right to be in office,’ party Spokesperson Bhumana Karunakara Reddy told reporters here on Thursday.
Narender Modi had assured during the Tirupati meeting that BJP and its coalition would accord 10 year special status while Chandrababu Naidu has gone one step ahead and said that they would give 15 years of special category status if voted to power. After coming to power they have conveniently forgot the issue while our Party and our President has been relentlessly fighting for special status.
When a private bill was moved in the Rajya Sabha TDP has expressed it willingness to support it and has been playing the number game. To prove the sincerity BJP should immediately confer special status and Chandrababu Naidu should quit office if he fails to bring special status, he said.

Babu - The Land Snatching Man

  • CM forgot all about the promises he made
  • People will definitely teach him a lesson
Nellore: Chandrababu, who had promised at the time of elections about sanctioning good quality houses to every poor man, had forgotten all about it after coming to power, criticised Nellore MLA P.Anil Kumar Yadav. As part of Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme, he visited people in Rajagari Veedhi, Ravichettu centre, Chamandi vari thota, Besthapalem and Rottela Veedhi of Nellore. He complained that TDP leaders had been robbing costly lands bit after bit in all districts while the poor went around Tehsildars’ offices and collectors’ offices for the promised houses.
He also remarked that Chandrababu had been enjoying luxuries abroad after deceiving the farmers of the state in the name of capital city. He opined it was not moral to snatch lands in the name of party offices. Participating in this event were YSRCP youth wing’s district president P.Roop Kumar Yadav, deputy mayor Mukkala Dwarakanath, corporators Gogula Nagaraju, Md.Khaleel Ahmed, Obili Ravichandra, Utukuru Madhavaiah and certain activists of the party.

* High Court’s permission is mandatory to sell endowments lands. But Babu does not care for laws and courts.
* Chalamalasetty Ramanjaneya’s family is benami for Lokesh.
* The fact finding committee of YSRCP informed about the corruption and was supported by BJP, CPI, CPM and other opposition parties.
* It is shameful of Chandrababu to say that the neighbouring states would take away the lands as there is no proper documentation.
* The Government has the responsibility to speak to the neighboring state’s Government and utilize the lands for endowments.
* There has never been a criminal case against those who illegally occupied temples’ properties.
* The Supreme Court has mentioned that Swiss Challenge system is not good. * Swiss challenge system is meant for robbery.
* It is being conspired to acquire 1,00,5000 acres of land in 28 revenue villages for the port.

* Venugopala Krishna demanded CBI probe on Sadavarthi choultry’s lands.

Water Resource Department Became Babu's Money Resource Department

Vijayawada: YSRCP’s official spokesman K.Parthasarathy complained that Chandrababu’s Government had been working to fill its own pockets rather than for the welfare of the people. He reminded that crores of rupees had been swallowed in the name of Pattiseema scheme while promising that Polavaram project would be completed by 2018. He commented that people’s money had been wasted on Pattiseema in spite of chance to bring water to Krishna delta with gravity.
Speaking to the media at Vijayawada, Parthasarathy exclaimed that Chandrababu was more bothered about collecting his shares from projects rather than about people’s development. The Government was boasting about completing Pattiseema scheme in spite of opposition parties’ resistance and Krishna and Godavari rivers were said to be being integrated for the third time. He questioned how many times would 2 rivers integrate. He remarked that there was no relation between the Government’s expenditure and the benefit Krishna delta was getting.
Parthasarathy opined that Chandrababu was trying to totally cease Polavaram project. He stated that another lift irrigation on the left canal was being planned to be constructed for Polavaram project. 25 TMC water was being tried to be taken to North Andhra region with the help of 12 motors. He mentioned that Polavaram was the life of Krishna and Godavari deltas as well as North Andhra. He explained that Babu was trying to swallow Rs.400 crore more money by not offering Polavaram project to the centre for construction. He cautioned that upstream states might question Babu what was the need for Polavaram project when left canal and Pattiseema were already there.
Agreement in the dark with Telangana
After being caught in Note for Vote case in Telangana, Chandrababu had to enter into dark agreement with KCR’s Government, Parthasarathy remarked. Palamuru-Rangareddy and Dindi projects were part of the agreement made in the dark, he opined. If the projects were completed, Krisha waters would no longer be available in AP. That was why Chandrababu was so hasty about the lift irrigation scheme, Parthasarathy mentioned.
Water resource department changed to Babu’s money resource department
Water resources department’s activities were now pretty much to fill the pockets of Chandrababu, commented Parthasarathy. Rs.8 crore worth work was taken up for lighting at Prakasam barrage without any permissions from administration, he revealed. Rs.100 crore was sanctioned for emergency work at Durga ghat against regulations in light of upcoming pushkarams, he added. He slammed the way the work was being done without even calling for nominations.
He complained that the CM’s son Lokesh and irrigation minister Devineni Uma had together planned to loot people’s money through such activities. He stated that the irrigation department was doing nothing for the benefit of the farmers. He demanded for Polavaram work to be completed by 2018 and immediate withdrawal of lift irrigation scheme.

YS Jagan Comes Down On Chandrababu

Visakhapatnam: Leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan came down heavily on CM Chandrababu for his false promises at the time of elections to the people. While addressing a large gathering at Munagapaka he stressed the fact that Gadapa Gadapaku program was meant to educate people about the misdeeds of the present government under the veil of power and their inability in fulfilling election promises. He also said that YSRCP would fight on behalf of the people for the legitimate rights and benefits due to them which were promised at the time of 2014 elections. Just to come to power by hook or crook the CM had not left any section of people and made promises and after getting power none of them had been fulfilled.
The CM was under the opinion that he could say anything at the time of elections and walk away comfortably after getting power, YS Jagan exclaimed. "Is it acceptable? Are these leadership qualities?", he questioned. Also he said that at the time of elections Chandrababu has promised that he was the only saviour for the gold mortgaged in the banks and would unconditionally waive off all farmer loans, Babu was the only option to youth to get the jobs, housing for shelter less and so on. Was he able to fulfill any of the promises made, he questioned. He complained that Babu was not even giving the unemployment allowance. This is how he was ruling the state and to expose his misdeeds and educate people the Gadapa Gadapaku programme had been initiated and YSRCP cadre had asked people to rate the CM and his performance in these two years, YS Jagan informed.
He commented that Chandrababu was deliberately taking people for a ride after attaining power and this was not the way a political system should run in a democratic country, YS stated. He asked people to raise these questions to Chandrababu and ask him what his stand was in fulfilling the promises. YS Jagan thanked all the party workers and cadre for their unconditional love and support in the scorching heat.

Waiver Is All Bluff Work

Hyderabad: The Government is continuing its deceptive ways with respect to the waiver of agricultural loans. After cutting down the funds with strict regulations, several conditions and a lot more filtrations, the Government is still trying to bluff the farmers who have crossed all these hurdles. Funds are still not being allotted after all the publicity stunts in place. Even the funds released in parts for the second installment are not being transferred to the banks.
Payments have not been done for the qualifying farmers even for the 3rd and the 4th phases in the first instalment of waiver. The promise made to horticultural farmers for assistance of Rs.10,000 per acre also has not taken shape yet. Farmers are left with no choice but to go around Government offices and banks for the promised money.
Horticulture sector also takes the blow
The CM has formally made his first signature during the inauguration of temporary secretariat in Velagapudi on the file sanctioning Rs.3,200 crore for the first and the second instalments of loan waiver. He also signed on the file sanctioning Rs.375 crore for horticultural farmers. The funds were supposed to be released in May but they haven’t seen light even in the third week of July. As Kharif has begun, the farmers are very anxious about receiving the loans, but the Government is staying indifferent as usual.
Publicity about sanction of funds
As part of second instalment, an amount of Rs.3,002.55 crore is to be paid for 36,39,553 farmers’ accounts. But the finance department, in May, ordered for release of Rs.1000 crore. The funds were released a while later to the farmers’ organisations. They still have not reached farmers’ accounts. After finance department released BRO for funds for the first and the second instalments of waiver, assistance for horticultural farmers, waiver software support, funds are being released whenever possible and in however small amounts possible. The Government is publicizing that the funds are being given just with the acceptance of agriculture department.

YSRCP to highlight defections, spl. status, corruption

Hyderabad, July 16: Amendment to Anti-Defection Law, Special status, Polavaram besides rampant corruption and other issues concerned the state would be raised by YSR Congress in the ensuing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Speaking to reporters after the Parliamentary Party meeting, chaired by Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Saturday Party MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy said: ‘ there are many loopholes which are being exploited by vested interests and we will demand that the power to disqualify defectors should be vested with the Election Commission and not the Speaker.’
Twenty MLAs and 3 MPs have defected from our Party but no action was taken and they continue to be law makers of a different party from which they were not elected. This system should be checked to save democracy and we will press for amendment to the Act which gives more teeth enabling serious action to be taken within three months.
Defectors should seek a fresh mandate and our Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy would be moving a private Bill on the issue.
The other issue we would be taking up is the special status which was promised by the Centre and did not come through. This would enable the state to progress as there would be more sops to investors and employment would be generated in a big way.
Expediting Polavaram, which is a national project and allotting more funds would be the other issue we would be raising during the Parliament session, he said.
The rampant corruption, be it Pattiseema or other scams would also be highlighted and the recent survey has placed our state on top of the table among corrupt states in the country, he said.

TDP encouraging liquor consumption

Hyderabad, July 15: YSR Congress has said that TDP government has been concentrating more on schemes where commercial element is more and ignoring other issues without taking social considerations into account.
'While NTR Srujana Sravanthi scheme which supplies 20 liters of drinking water for Rs 2 has been ignoring Chandrababu Naidu government has been concentrating more on allotting distillery licenses as there is scope for corruption in it,' party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Friday.
While Chandrababu Naidu has promised to do away with belt shops before elections, he did not keep it up but on the other hand has been giving permission for manufacturing of more liquor and there is no check on cheap liquor, he said.
While schemes like drinking water and others are put on the back burner, the government has been patronizing schemes which can give kickbacks, he said.
While earlier governments had issued a GO to keep liquor away from highways, Chandrababu Naidu has withdrawn it and made availability of liquor more easy at all places and at all times, he said.

Babu's deeds to harm the state

  • Devotees' sentiments being hurt by Babu
  • People furious about demolition of temples

Vijayawada: TDP's behaviour is not only degrading Hindu tradition but also hurting the feelings of devotees. Temples are being demolished in the name of development in light of the upcoming pushkarams. People are at disgust regarding Chandrababu's activities but he is continuing to stay indifferent to the feelings of the people. Religious structures around the city are being demolished.

Working mainly during the night time, the Government has already demolished more than 30 temples. Most recently the Sankara matam behind the cowshed of Goddess Durga's temple has disappeared. Among the temples demolished were those of Gayatri Devi, Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman. The discourse halls in the first floor were pulled down and time was given before pulling down the temples in the ground floor.

TDP government is insulting all religious sentiments by pulling down mosques along with temples. Statues Of Gods are been thrown on to the road and in the sewer. On Wednesday night, Syed Shah Khadri dargah at the beginning of Arjun road on the way to Durga temple was destroyed. Muslims are at disgust with the dargah being pulled down even before its inauguration after getting renovated.

While robbing crores of rupees of funds in the name of conduction of Krishna pushkarams on one hand, the Government is demolishing temples on the other hand, much to the fury of devotees. They are worried about Chandrababu's evil deeds causing their harm.
The destruction continues
Heads of monasteries held a huge conference in Vijayawada protesting against the demolition of 30 temples. Then the government promised to discuss with the heads and the officials of the temples before taking decision on pulling them down. A committee was formed to take care of reconstruction of the demolished temples. Inspite of all this the government is continuing to pull down temples and mosques. Frustrated by this double entendre of the Government, people are cautioning about its downfall soon to happen.

Pushkarams, A Money Making Event For TDP

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has demanded the state government to seek more water from Krishna River Board in wake of the pushkaras and shun its practice of making a fast buck and ignoring the interest of common people as was the case in Godavari pushkarams.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday party spokesperson K Parthasarathi said: ‘the report on the tragic events at Godavari pushkaram, which claimed 30 lives was due by last month end but nothing came out and there was no evidence whether the Chief Minister was questioned on the issue. The district collector in his report has clearly said that the stampede took place as Chandrababu Naidu has left the protocol and went for the dip at the general ghat instead of the VVIP ghat resulting in the blockade and sudden surge of crowd which forced the stampede.’
That apart the state has institutionalized corruption during the time of pushkarams and allotting works on nomination basis in the last minute. The practice is continuing as the construction of Kanakadurga ghat was taken up just one month ahead of the pushkarams though the date and venue were known in advance.
The nomination methodology has been mastered by TDP which has been allotting works to its favoured few for exorbitant rates, he said. The state instead should ask the Krishna River Board to release more water in wake of Pushkarams which it did not do and went on a temple demolition spree before the pushkarams hurting the Hindu sentiments, he said. He demanded that the state should seek more water and proceedings should be conducted in a transparent manner.

Money Going Down The Drain

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has slammed TDP government for breaching all set norms to allot power plant contracts to its favoured few in a tailor-made system by paying exorbitant rates and going in for production though there is no immediate need for additional power. This could emerge as one of the biggest scam and we demand to terminate the contract, order and inquiry with people of high efficiency and expertise and undertake a study to assess whether or not we need to go additional power generation at this juncture where no power shortage is foreseen in near future.
‘The state has cleared two power plants by paying about Rs 6 crore per MW while nation-wide the rate is around Rs 4 crore that too by mending all
rules,’ party MLA and PAC Chairman B Rajendernath Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.
The government has been set the bidding process in a tailor made way to suit only its favoured companies which do not meet the NTPC norms as there is scam in the making at an abnormal scam, he said.
‘The two plants involve an additional 2.500 crores in the hike of price per MW to its favoured two companies and this should be checked,’ he said. Earlier too the government had done similar exercise and is going out and out in a hurry. When the prices of Telangana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh
are hovering at Rs 4 crore per MW the contract given by TDP is Rs 6 crore per MW and huge public money is going down the drain for generating 16 MWs from the two proposed power plants. We demand that the contract be terminated and order an inquiry in to the process and bring out a report whether or not we need power plants at this juncture, he said.

A Government Putting Farmers Under Stress

Jangareddygudem (West Godavari dist): Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu has been ignoring the interests of the farmers and has been pushing them into distress, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan has said that such people should be rejected to ushering in credibility in politics.

Tobacco farmers are in distress and this year too they are facing hardships with the faulty promises of the government, he said while addressing the farmers here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister is busy in touring foreign nations ignoring the local issues, more so those of the farmers who have been pushed into a debt trap as he failed to fulfill his poll promise of loan waiver. Many farmers have become defaulters as they did not repay the loans believing Chandrababu Naidu.

With no fresh loans coming up and the state going ahead with its anti-farmer policies the situation has become precarious as they are not getting the Minimum Support Price as well, he said.
Three tobacco farmers have committed suicides in the district due to indebtedness and it is not just tobacco but also paddy and other farmers too are in distress, he said.
Though monsoon has set in the government did not begin buying tobacco which shows the state of affairs, he said. During YSR regime tobacco farmers were happy while the situation has been otherwise now, he said.

Babu has to come to the aid of DWCRA women

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has demanded a white paper on the foreign tours of Chandrababu Naidu detailing the amount of investments that had flown in and the projects that had been grounded so far as the State Government happens to be staking tall claims on the issue.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday party MLA G Srikanth Reddy said: ‘Chief Minister who has been touring numerous countries including those of the former Soviet Union started claiming that investments are being flooding into the state.
We demand the State government to publish a white paper on the number of countries Chandrababu Naidu has visited after assuming office two years ago, the claims made on the investment flow into the state and the actual number of industries that have started working.
‘These details will call the bluff of Chief Minister who has been using his tours for photo opportunities and the tall talk on investments even from countries which are otherwise looking for investments in their respective countries,’ he said.
He has toured Russia and said that the state has a land bank of 15 lakh acres and at other places said that we have a 972 km coastline and the state is open for building ports. The partnership summit at Vizag has signed numerous MoUs but not even 1 % of the projects were grounded.
A study sponsored by the Centre has termed AP as the most corrupt state and the Chief Minister telling that all nuclear power plants are being shifted from Gujarat to Srikakulam is ridiculous, he said. ‘We demand that the state government publish a white paper on the foreign tours, the investments that have come in and the real time industries,’ he said.

Babu is responsible for Call Money sex racket

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has demanded that the Chief Minister should give a statement assuring the DWCRA groups that their loans would be waived to instill confidence in them as many groups are getting court notices.
‘They have been getting bank notices earlier but now they are getting court notices as they became defaulters after they believed the promises of Chandrababu Naidu that their loans would be waived and they can redeem their gold pawned in the banks,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Tuesday.
The women are scarred with the notices as majority of the DWCRA groups are now degraded from Category A to Category C as they became defaulters believing Chandrababu Naidu’s election promises.
The 7.62 DWCRA groups owe about Rs 14,700 crores and the state has given just Rs 3,000 revolving fund which serves no purpose and has been pushing the women towards private money lenders which in turn has giving a fillip to the call money racket, she said.
It is time that the Chief Minister give an assurance to the women groups that the loans would be waived which will instill confidence among them as they are shattered by the notices from banks and courts, she said.
