KCR Backed Off On Cash For Vote Case

  • Case should be filed against Chandrababu
  • YSRCP general secretary Konda Raghava Reddy
Hyderabad: Telangana CM KCR, after all the statements he had earlier given about Chandrababu not being able to escape, had for some reason backed off on Cash for Vote case, complained TYSRCP's general secretary Konda Raghava Reddy. Speaking to the media on Wednesday at the party's central office in Hyderabad, he reminded that as YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy submitted the audio tapes of conversation between AP CM Chandrababu and Telangana MLA Stephenson and forensic lab reports pertaining to the same to the court on the 8th of this month, the court had ordered for reinvestigation of the case two days back.
In light of this, Telangana Government was hesitating to add Chandrababu's name to the charge sheet even after 78 hours of the issue of court orders, he specified. He reminded how Telangana CM KCR had been praised in the matter of encounter of gangster Nayeem. He said that the present ACB chief AK Khan was also an  acclaimed officer and given the required freedom, he would expose the truth behind the case, he expressed hope. Konda Raghava Reddy demanded that KCR acted transparently in this matter and held inquiry lawfully.
Raghava Reddy commented that Chandrababu had 'briefed' BJP president Amit Shah and cabinet minister Sujana Chowdary had 'briefed' Governor Narasimhan and he in turn 'briefed' someone else, in order to water down the case. He demanded TRS Government to investigate the case sincerely.
Programme on the 2nd of September
On account of Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy's death anniversary on the 2nd of September, service activities would be held throughout Telangana, Raghava Reddy mentioned. He reminded that all areas had been equally developed under YSR's rule. He acclaimed YSR for ruling without political, regional, caste-specific favouritism. He called for the leaders, the activists of YSRCP and other parties to pay tribute to the great leader.

Compromise with Sujana to get out of Cash for Vote case

Tirupati: After being caught red-handed along with audio and video tapes in Case for Vote case, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had paid Rs.500 crore to Telangana CM KCR to get out of the case, stated YSRCP's general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy. Speaking to the media at Tirupati press club, he questioned why cabinet minister Sujana Chowdary, who had earlier remarked that AP would not get special category status, had hastily assembled with cabinet ministers and Governor Narasimhan today.
He complained that Sujana had gone to make a compromise in order to get Chandrababu out of Cash for Vote case. He called it shameful of Chandrababu for having been caught buying an MLA for MLC seats in Telangana, after all the boasting he did regardng his political experience and seniority. He criticised Babu's attitude that said his mistakes should not be questioned. He also commented that Babulacked respect towards the legal system.
Bhumana questioned why KCR was now silent, after stating that nobody would be able to save Chandrababu.

Do Not Use Raj Bhavan For Political Purposes

Hyderabad, Aug 31: Taking strong objection for using Raj Bhavan for political purposes, YSR Congress has said that the briefings with the Governor should be made public as they are of public interest and not that of constitutional affairs. ‘The sequence of events clearly point out that the discussion by Union Minister and TDP leader Sujana (YS) Choudhary with the Governor after having a meeting with BJP national president and Union Finance Minister close on the heels of a local court directing a reinvestigation into the cash for vote is not about special status as was told to the press,’ party leader Botsa Satyanarayana told reporters here on Wednesday.
We also demand the Telangana government to clarify as to why no action was taken against Chandrababu Naidu whose name was mentioned numerous times in the charge-sheet of cash for vote case. Telangana Chief Minister too had been very categorically stated that the noose is tightened and there is no escape route for Chandrababu Naidu. But things changed later and there was lull in the investigation process, he said.
Sujana Choudhary meeting top leadership of BJP, Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and others and rushing to Raj Bhavan is a clear indication of what was being discussed. The TDP minister telling media that they have discussed special status issue is ridiculous and merely to divert the topic. There is no need to brief the Governor about special status as it is not a constitutional affair. It should be discussed with Prime Minister and others at Delhi, he said.
The way the meetings took place one after the other close on the heels of the court directive shows that the matter discussed was different and not what was briefed to the press and in the process the institution of the Governor has been misused.
‘We demand that Raj Bhavan should not be a plank for political intrigue and any matter of public interest discussed with the Governor should be made public by his office through a statement. Special Status is not an issue to be discussed at Raj Bhavan by a Union Minister,’ he said. On the drought situation, Chandrababu Naidu showing his ignorance would cut no ice as he always boasts of making best use of the information technology and his dashboard has full data. The State has deliberately postponed the Bankers meeting, scheduled to be held on Aug 12 only to avoid further questioning during the ensuing assembly session, he said.

Babu Cannot Escape Imprisonment

  • KCR received Rs.500 crore
  • Babu being the CM is the misfortune of people of AP: Bhumana
Tirupati: YSRCP's general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy stated that AP CM Chandrababu could not escape punishment in Note for Vote case. Speaking to the media at Tirupati, he reminded KCR's statements that nobody could save Chandrababu who had been caught along with audio and video tapes as proofs and wondered why he had not filed a charge sheet since 14 months. He complained that KCR had received Rs.500 crore and Godavari river projects as bribe in light of this case. he also slammed Babu for mortgaging the state's special category status to prevent CBI inquiry from being held on the case.
Here is what he spoke.
  • Why did Babu leave Hyderabad although it was allowed to be common capital for 10 years? Why did he force employees of the secretariat to move to Amaravathi so hastily?
  • Chandrababu is more scared of note for Vote case than he is bothered about the state's benefits. That is why he mortgaged them at the centre and at KCR's feet.
  • We can't help but suspect KCR's receiving bribe as he did not file a chrge sheet since 14 months.
  • What has happened to Babu's boasting about his uprightness?
  • In the past, when the High Court made a statement about the CM of that time Sanjeeva Reddy in the matter of nationalisation of buses, he resigned to his position.
  • When a train met with an accident, railway minister of that time, Lal Bahadur Sastry, took the ethical responsibility and resigned.
  • Minister Ramachandra Rao elected from Musheerabad during NTR's tenure was accused of taking Rs.10,000 bribe and he was suspended from service.
  • A voluntary organisation in central Government's control declared Chandrababu as the biggest corrupt leader in India. Why will Chandrababu not resign after being caught in Note for Vote case?
  • There is no CM in India more competent than Chandrababu.
  • The state is feeling unfortunate for having Chandrababu as the CM.
  • Chandrababu has nothing but deception and pretense in his personality.
  • He cancelled meeting in Tirupati an set out to Vijayawada only to think of ways to come out of the case.
  • Chandrababu clearly asked KCR to make him come out of the case and in return, he let him build whatever projects he wanted on rivers Krishna and Godavari.
  • As soon as he faced allegations regarding Outer Ring Road, YSR ordered for CBI inquiry on the issue when he was the CM.
  • Chandrababu is not taking the word of CBI inquiry in spite of all these accusations.
  • YS Jagan is fighting against Telangana's Dindi project because the Government is making a mistake in the matter.
  • We will resist any action taken by Telangana Government against the favour of AP.
  • YSRCP shall fight with anyone in the matter of special category status.

Beat Me If You Can

  • Yarapatineni Srinivas Rao is corrupt
  • House arrest to prevent exposure of corruption
  • Challenge to Yarapatineni to beat him in elections at Gurazala
Guntur: YSRCP MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy challenged TDP MLA Yarapatineni Srinivas Rao to resign to his assembly seat, contest against him in elections and beat him. Pinnelli spoke to the media at Macharla. He complained that Yarapatineni had committed corruption in pushkaram work and that he had been house arrested to prevent him from exposing the evidences. Pinnelli proposed that whoever lost elections in Gurazala would have to quit politics. He stated that Lokayukta also had confirmed that Yarapatineni had committed corruption in mining.
Pinnelli mentioned that he would stick to his statements even now. He slammed Yarapatineni for harassing the poor in his constituency through his misdeeds. He condemned the Government for making the police house arrest him as he was setting out to expose the evidences to Yarapatineni's corruption at the discussion forum held at Dachepalli. The police also stopped and took into custody the leaders from Piduguralla, Macharla and Dachepalli as they were trying to reach the venue. Section 144 was implemented in these areas.

No Way Out For Chandrababu Naidu

Hyderabad, Aug 29: YSR Congress has said that all efforts of Chandrababu Naidu to wriggle out of the cash for vote case would be vain in wake of the ACB court ruling to reinvestigate the case and his private deals will cut no ice this time over. ‘ It is 14 months since the case broke out and the progress has been reduced to snails pace with compromise at every stage and Chandrababu Naidu nodding to his Telangana counterpart demands and a union minister brokering peace between the two has come to a naught with the ACB court direction to reinvestigate the case,’ party leader Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Monday.
The name of Chandrababu Naidu was mentioned 33 times in the charge sheet yet there was no action against him as there was a compromise and he has mortgaged the state interests like river water sharing, special status and others which merits to take up the case. No supplementary charge sheet was taken up as Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to all the terms of compromise, including the shifting of governance to Vijayawada in a hurry and maintaining silence over river water sharing and special status.
‘It is heartening to note that the forensic reports were not taken properly and with ACB court admitting the complaint filed by A Ramakrishna Reddy it now becomes impossible for Chandrababu Naidu to wriggle out of the situation,’ he said. Meanwhile, at separate press conferences held at Visakhapatnam and Tirupati party leaders Botsa Satyanarayana and Bhumana Karunakar Reddy echoed the same views and said that Chandrababu Naidu who boasted of his integrity should now reply to the court as an accused.

The central and the state Governments have deceived

  • YSRCP shall fight till special status is achieved
  • YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy declares
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP's state General Secretary and member of Rajya Sabha, Vijay Sai Reddy, made it clear that there was no alternative to special category status. He spoke to the media at Visakhapatnam and mentioned that the state would benefit from special category status in the form of fans and discounts off work Rs.1.45 lakh crore. He remarked that sanction of packages would never be able to compensate not sanctioning special status. He challenged openly for public discussion on the issue and reiterated that YSRCP would continue to fight till the status was attained.
Vijay Sai Reddy mentioned that special railway zone for Visakhapatnam and establishment of educational institutions Where are also promised in the special status bill. Hey criticised that the Central and state governments had deceived the people of AP in the matter.

We welcome Pawan Kalyan
While commenting that Pawan Kalyan had come into picture after 2.5 years and criticised the central and state Governments tactfully, Sai Reddy stated that his interest in attainment of special status was however welcome. He expressed cheerfulness in behalf of YSRCP if Pawan Kalyan would want to join hands with the party in the fight for the cause.

No coalition with Congress
Vijay Sai Reddy declared that YSRCP would absolutely not join hands with Congress Party that had done injustice to Andhra Pradesh by bifurcating the united state against the will of the people. He commented that CM Chandrababu had understood the discontent people had towards him and was so not brave enough to hold corporate and municipality elections. Reminding how YSRCP had fought on behalf of people after elections under the leadership of YS Jagan, he proclaimed that the party would continue to do so.
Vijay Sai Reddy also mentioned that Andhra Pradesh had shared Rs.1.5 Lakh crore of debt as a result of bifurcation.

Great leader who benefited people of all classes

  • No going back on a promise made
  • Permanent place in people’s hearts
Legendary leader and former CM Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy
YS Rajasekhar Reddy is the heartbeat of Telugu people. He is the living form of trust, values and credibility. He gave marvelous rule to Telugu people and made for himself a permanent nest in the people’s hearts. Though he went physically far from us, he lives on in every Telugu person’s heart.
In the 9-year rule of Chandrababu, the united state of AP became a place for suicides. Under such circumstances, YSR initiated Pada Yatra programme and created trust among people. In spite of united efforts of Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, the situation of Congress party in the state was very weak. YSR gave it a life and consolidated the party. In 2004, the party won with huge majority in the state and in the centre, due to his crucial efforts.
As soon as he took up charge as the CM of the state, he continued to stay among the people through programmes like Palle Baata, Nagara Baata, Rythu Baata and Projects Baata, thus understanding their problems more closely and being able to answer them instantly. The welfare schemes he introduced reached people of all classes. The schemes he introduced at that time stood as inspiration to various states and the centre itself, while being acclaimed by certain opposition parties too. American President Obama also introduced schemes similar to Aarogyashree after drawing inspiration from YSR.
YSR made a mark for himself in the state and the national politics. They people cherished him for offering them lives, education, assistance and general welfare. This is a special story written on account of YSR’s death anniversary in the series ‘YSR Forever’.
Aarogyashree – Boon to the poor
It is not surprising to say that there is hardly anybody in the country who has not heard the name ‘Rajiv Aarogyashree’. It has also gained international popularity as a wonder drug in the lives of the poor. Himself being a doctor, YSR used to inquire about the health conditions of the poor. He was moved by the situation where the poor could not even visit normal small hospitals, leave alone taking corporate treatment, ultimately succumbing to their illnesses. The idea of Aarogyashree was born from his intention to bring good quality treatment to people of all classes. The scheme enabled the poor to get treated for a wide range of ailments. Almost 1000 kinds of illness were mentioned in the scheme. Permissions were given right within 12 hours of application and surgeries were performed for free. Medicines required were also provided for free and the patients used to be dropped at home safely after the treatment.
With such a kind scheme in place, people started worshipping him. Even now, poor people are able to be treated free of cost due to the Aarogyashree scheme introduced at that time. He also used to personally write to the patients after their treatment, inquiring about their health condition.
Emergency healthcare – Gift from the legendary leader
Ambulance service ‘108’ is credited to be the best of the emergency services throughout the country. They are reaching the location within 5-10 minutes of reporting and moving victims to nearest hospitals. The 104 call centre that is available 24X7 for even small ailments and the 104 service that holds certain daily medical diagnostic tests were also introduced by YSR.
Food to the poor
Rice was sold at that time for a price of Rs.15-20 per KG. The poor could not afford to have a full meal. After he became the CM, YSR arranged for the sale of rice to the poor for Rs.2 per KG. In spite of Government officials’ suggestions against the scheme due to chance of budget deficit, he went ahead with its implementation so tha the poor could have food at all times. He alleviated their hunger and was blessed by the benefactors as ‘Annadaatha’.
Dream of own house comes true
Former CM YSR brought to reality the dream of many to own a house. Intending to build houses for all the deserving poor people throughout the state, he introduced ‘Indiramma illu’, ‘Rajiv Gruhakalpa’ and ‘Rajiv Swagruha’ schemes to aid backward classes as well as middle class people. Irrespective of being warned otherwise, he went ahead to create shelter to everybody.
Pension assured courage
During Chandrababu’s tenure, people used to wait for a pensioner to die in their village so that they could get pension. People used to wait for months just to get Rs.30 pension per month. To put an end to such a situation, he offered pension of Rs.200-500 to the aged, the widows, the handloom workers and the handicapped. Though the Government was in a deficit of budget, he implemented the pension schemes to benefit the people. Almost 70 lakh people benefited from the schemes initiated by YSR.
‘Indira Prabha’ – Lands to many
YSR distributed lands in the name of ‘Indira Prabha’. In five years, 6.5 lakh acres of land. He implemented the land distribution scheme for Girijans introduced by the centre in a full extent in the state and gave away 13 lakh acres.
He not only realised the promises he made, but also did many things to benefit people that he had not promised, earning for himself the permanent place he now has in their hearts.

Amaravati Project, A Total Sell-out

Hyderabad, Aug 27: Describing as a total sell out the capital formation contract given to Singapore companies with clauses loaded in favour of the
foreign firms, YSR Congress has said that it is detrimental to state interests as Andhra Pradesh government will remain a junior partner will have little or no rights in the whole venture.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday party MLA and PAC Chairman Buggana Rajendernath Reddy said: ‘ The agreement between the State Government and the Singapore consortium is overwhelmingly in favour of the foreign company and such an agreement will not stand the scrutiny of the Indian Contract Act.
The contract gives the Singapore company sweeping powers with its 58 % share and four directors on board of six which enables the foreigners to dictate terms and act as per their whims and fancies.’ Not just that the irrevocable power of attorney and the way obligation, responsibility, liability and accountability have been placed on the Indian side keeping the foreigners away is a total sell out on part of Chandrababu Naidu and his obsession for Singapore has reached its peak, he said.
With four directors and 58 % stake, it is the Singapore company that calls the shots and more teeth is given by adding clauses of compensation and termination norms which gives them a hefty package even if Singapore company pulls out on its own. ‘Such ridiculous clauses will be not be valid under the Indian Contract, which is a fact they have ignored’, he said adding the company does not even qualify for Swiss Challenge as their participation in the capital building was solicited much earlier.
The irrevocable power of attorney authorizes the Singapore company, with four of the total six directors, to act at will in developing the 1,690 acres of land under the Amaravati Development Authority. It has a share in every deal right from broker commission and shares no responsibility at all. The term of contract is pegged at 15 years which can be extended by another five years. Twenty years and 1,690 acres of land are placed on a platter to the Singapore companies increasing the liability of the people of the state, he said.
It is the responsibility of the government to develop the peripheries which is another clause that is loaded in favour of the Singapore company. ‘The state has to spend its own money for the benefit of Singapore company and should supply sand, bricks, power, gas, water, lay gas pipeline and roads and if the government gives land at a discount the deficit should be filled and paid to the Singapore company. The penalty and recovery in case of pulling out has been placed at 150 % which is highly abnormal and we strongly object to the norms which is a total sell out on part of the Andhra Pradesh government, he said.

Insider trading employed

  • Tyrannical rule in the name of capital development
  • Real estate business with farmers' lands
  • Robbery of lakhs of rupees even before announcement of capital
  • Swiss challenge system to be used
Hyderabad: The ruling party leaders who had robbed lakhs of crores of rupees from farmers' lands even before the capital city was announced, are now getting ready to exploit Swiss Challenge system. They are going to perform real estate business with lands collected from farmers by employing the system and offering them to Singapore consortium. The litigations in the agreements made between the state Government and Singapore consortium regarding the valuable start up area project taken up in the seed capital in 1,691 acre area is being uncovered.
The Supreme Court declared long ago that the Swiss Challenge system lacked transparency. Kelkar committee also recommended against the employment of Swiss Challenge system. Against the opinions of intellectuals, social scientists and finance experts, CM Chandrababu chose to use the system for the capital city's master development. The opposition YSRCP has always been questioning the attempts being made by the Government in collaboration with Singapore companies. Recently, the joint High Court also slammed the Government's behaviour in this issue. Still the Government is going ahead with the plan only to benefit from swallowing lakhs of crores of funds.
This is the real estate business being done by the Government with hardly investing any capital. The namesake seed capital construction will not involve any important constructions like assembly or secretariat. The 1691 acres of land will be levelled and made into plots with infrastructure facilities added and sold. The companies of Singapore are being allowed to have selling rights on them till 25 years.

Chandrababu Should Question KCR

Hyderabad, Aug 26: Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu has been ignoring the lifeline projects of the State and has been resorting to talk with no content, YSR Congress has questioned as to why the TDP government has not questioned KCR on the river water sharing issue and the Centre on special status.

‘The two core issues before the state are the special status and sharing of river waters. While KCR has been on an agreement signing spree with Maharashtra Chandrababu Naidu did not even question him though the state division act clearly mentions that Andhra Pradesh should be a party to all water sharing agreements,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Friday.

To build a project on Krishna or Godavari rivers permission from the apex body, Central Water Commission and other relevant authorities is required and the consent of Andhra Pradesh should be taken. When the law is clear on the issue KCR signing agreements with his Maharashtra counterpart and Chandrababu Naidu never raising his voice shows his attitude of compromise after the cash for vote episode.

If KCR has his way and builds projects without being questioned Godavari delta will become a desert and being silent at this juncture is nothing but mortgaging the interest of State for personal gains, she said adding that the Telangana Chief Minister stating that his state’s share of Godavari waters is 954 TMC has to be contested.

Even the TDP ministers in the Union cabinet do not speak out putting the farmers’ future in a quandary. It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been questioning the Telangana government on its expeditions in Krishna and Godavari rivers depriving due share to Andhra Pradesh.

Neither Chandrababu Naidu nor his union ministers have questioned the Telangana government which is surging ahead with the irrigation projects ignoring Andhra Pradesh and when the special status has been put on the back burner and not a word is being uttered.

Unless the twin issues of water sharing and special status are addressed the future of the state looks bleak and it is time for Chandrababu Naidu to open up, she said.

Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress @ 50 Days

  • YSRCP received warmly at every doorstep
  • Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress going on successfully
  • Fury expressed towards Babu's corrupt rule
  • Disgust to ignorance of poll promises
  • Chandrababu loses in the Praja Ballot

Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress taken up by YSRCP is going on successfully throughout the state. People are receiving YSRCP cadre with warmth at every doorstep. People have so much to share with the army of YS Jagan, the son of their dear leader YSR. They are inviting them with traditional fashion of grand welcome.

The leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president YS Jagan and YSRCP, the party led by him have earned tremendous response and affection from five crore people throughout the state. Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme has completed 50 days successfully and is going forward with commitment.

Chandrababu made hundreds of promises to come into power at the time of elections and later forgot all about them and deceived people. Slaughtering the existing welfare schemes and ignoring the new promises, Babu's administration is going on with corruption as the sole aim. YSRCP is relentlessly fighting against Chandrababu's atrocities. In light of this, the party initiated Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme in order to fight more efficiently against Babu's deception and corruption and bring them to light.

The programme was commenced on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr.YS Rajasekhar Reddy on the 8th of July this year by YS Jagan at Idupulapaya. As part of the programme leaders and activists of YSRCP are going from one doorstep to another and learning people's problems. they are explaining to the people how Chandrababu had deceived them with his fake promises. They are giving away handouts of 100-point questionnaire, Praja Ballot, at every house regarding people's satisfaction towards Babu's rule. Chandrababu has miserably failed in the Praja Ballot.

People at every doorstep are slamming Babu's rule. None of the promises like employment, stipend to the unemployed, construction of good quality houses to the poor, waiver of loans of farmers and DWCRA women, they are reporting. The widows, the handicapped, the aged and other classes are complaining that the sanction of their pension has been stopped in spite of their being qualified for it. People are stating that their ration has been cut down too. They are cursing Chandrababu for deceiving them with his fake promises. They are narrating their sad stories to YSRCP leaders and recollecting how good YSR's rule was. Everybody is under the belief that the state's development will be possible and YSR's aspiratons will be able to come true if YS Jagan becomes the CM of the state.
People have been disgusted with Chandrababu's rule right in 2.5 years. They are determined to teach a lesson to Chandrababu's government for neglecting their welfare. They have decided to offer victory to YSRCP whenever the next elections come, much  for the betterment of their lives.

It is unjust to hold the sessions for just 5 days

  • No poll promises have been realised yet
  • People in the state are suffering
  • The sessions should be held for 4 weeks
  • Ummareddy venkateswarlu speaks in Legislative Council
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLC Ummareddy venkateswarlu slammed the Government for holding the assembly sessions for only 5 days, while there was a lot to discuss about people's problems. He suggested that the sessions should be held for the benefit of the state and not just namesake. Speaking in the media conference at the party's central office, he mentioned that the state was in severe drought due to lack of precipitation. Farmers were unable to pay interest on their loans to the banks or to cultivate crops.
Here is what he spoke
  • There is severe drought in the state. All classes of people are suffering with problems.
  • While the state should be enjoying cultivation in 40.95 lakh hectares, not even 30% of it could be accomplished.
  • As the state Government could not implement waiver of loans,  the farmers are not able to pay interest on their loans.
  • The monsoon session of the legislative assembly should be held for 3-4 weeks.
  • Swiss challenge, special category status, capital land mafia, elimination of 500 welfare guest houses and many more issues should be discussed. Five days are hardly enough for that.
  • Not one house was built for the poor in the past 2.5 years of TDP rule.
  • Somayajulu committee appointed to probe the fateful stampede incident that happened during Godavari pushkarams has not yet given a report.
  • Devotion and spirituality was nowhere to be seen in Krishna pushkarams. It was held like a Telugu Desam Party's programme.
  • It is not correct to think GST bill could just be accepted.
  • Demolition of temples, mosques, churches and statues in the state in atrocious.
  • No other than state in India has a rule as tyrannical as this.
  • The whole state knows that a huge scam has taken place in the matter of Sadavarthi choultry's lands.
  • Reservation for Kapu community was promised to be completed before September. Till now the matter is untouched.
  • The state is ranked 30 in GDP. It is shameful of TDP to announce otherwise that the state was developing.
  • Not one of the poll promises were realised in the past 2.5 years.
  • The unemployed, the farmers and many others were left clueless.
  • The issue of poll promises should be allowed detailed discussion in the assembly.
  • TDP leaders are accused in the case of gangster Nayeem. They owe an explanation to people.
  • TDP is indifferent to Telangana Government's statements that they have right on Krishna waters.
  • There is not one drop of water n Krishna Delta. Water provision from Pattiseema remained a dream.
  • the unemployed waiting for jobs are becoming ineligible due to age.
  • As principal opposition party, we are warning the Government in advance. The sessions can't be held namesake. They should be held for at least four weeks.

YSRCP supportive of students' families losing their lives in pushkarams

  • Recent condolence by YS Jagan to the families
  • Rs.1 lakh aid on behalf of YSRCP
Chandarlapadu: YSRCP leaders offered financial assistance on behalf of the party to the bereaved families of the five students who lost their lives in Krishna Pushkarams. Mulakapalli Harish from Chandarlapadu of Krishna district,  Pasam Gopireddy of Cheruvukommupalem of Nandigama mandal, Kammavarapu Harigopi and Koochi Lokesh from Nandigama and Nandigama Nagesh from Jayanthi village of Veerulapadu mandal lost their lives recently as they went for the holy pushkar bath ritual at Didugu village of Guntur district.
YSRCP's coordinator of Nandigama constituency, Dr.Mondithoka Jaganmohan Rao and state secretary Arun met the families of the demised and offered Rs.1 lakh financial aid to each of them. He stated that the aid was being offered as er the instructions of YS Jagan.
The five students met their fate due to the negligence and publicity craze of the Government. The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan stood supportive of the families of the victims. He met the families and consoled them. He slammed the Government for unjustly taking their lives and assured his support to them. Apart from offering financial aid to the families, he demanded that the Government sanctioned Rs.20 lakh of ex gratia to each of the bereaved families.

Farmers neglected by the Government

  • Krishna delta changing into a barren land
  • Farmers neglected by the Government
  • Agonized farmers

The CM of AP boasted about development of 450 lift irrigation schemes. He stated we should not be scared of drought and the drought should be scared of us. He credited himself with river integration. The farmers were in fact hardly benefited in the 2.5 years of his rule. Due to the Government's lack of foresight, there is now drought taking over the state.

Vijayawada: Krishna delta is rich with green crop fields, flowing water canals and heaps of prospered rice grains. But due to Chandrababu's negligence, the area turned into a barren land now. Due to lack of rainfall, drought is taking over the area. Instead of coming to the aid of the farmers, the Government has been busy with pushkarams. The farmers are agonized due to the loss of crops of worth lakhs of rupees. Krishna delta farmers were completely neglected by the Government.

Publicity craze it is

Babu has to be credited for claiming credit for integration of Krishna and Godavari rivers just by adding two jugs of water from one river to the other. He performed groundbreaking ceremony thrice for provision of water to Rayalaseema from Pattiseema. But he failed to give water even to the crops of Krishna delta. TDP Government is more concerned about publicity than about farmers' benefit. The CM kept himself busy with pushkarams but failed to realise the crops withering just beside that area. He turned the otherwise flourished Krishna delta into a barren land. The farmers are left with no choice but to extract water from canals with engines and transfer it to the crops for watering.

Where are drought assistance measures?

There has been drought in the state since three years. But there has been no assistance from the Government's side. The farmers from the drought areas announced in the last two years never received input subsidy. Why is Chandrababu, who demanded Rs.10,000 compensation per acre during drought in 2003, not implementing it now, being the CM? He made it clear on multiple occasions earlier that he would provide necessary assistance in order to meet the aim of the Government. Why is he not working in this direction for renovation of Krishna delta, timely release of irrigation water, improvement of underground water and crop water canals?

If YSR was alive..

The state was properous when former CM Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy was ruling.    It saw a great deal of development. He could offer welfare to people of every village according to the individual requirements of each of the people of the three areas. From Jalayagnyam to industrial development, he planned projects and industries in order to insure development of all areas. He took up construction of 86 irrigation water projects throughout the state. All the jalayagnyam projects would have been completed by now if YSR was alive. Industries would have flourished in all areas. Farmers are recollecting the legendary leader's activities and wishing he was alive.

Babu has taken the purity out of pushkarams

  • It is unjust to publicise with namesake renovation of ghats
  • Hindu traditions have been insulted
  • Pilgrims have been troubled for 12 days: Ambati Rambabu
Hyderabad: YSRCP's official spokesman Ambati Rambabu complained that Chandrababu had taken purity out of Krishna pushkarams and exploited them for his publicity. He commented that Chandrababu had harassed the pilgrims for 12 days with his speeches. He spoke to the media at the party's central office in Hyderabad.
Chandrababu will pay for his sins
  • It is shameless of Babu to claim credit for conducting Krishna pushkarams.
  • While pushkarams are actually going on throughout the river banks of Krishna, he made it look like they happened only in Vijayawada.
  • TDP contractors and activists swallowed more than half of the Rs.1800 crore funds that are said top be spent on pushkarams through the employment of nomination system.
  • Chandrababu is so degraded that the he got the holy pushkar ghats painted with yellow colour. That proves his publicity mania.
  • He got many temples in Vijayawada demolished before pushkarams. The statues were stuffed and sealed in jute bags and thrown in municipality vans.
  • Chandrababu and Lokesh did sand mafia in the holy river bed of Krishna. They earned crores of rupees from it but caused the death of five innocent students.
  • People are being bluffed by the yellow media's reports about pushkarams being held successfully.
  • Babu has made Krishna pushkarams impure with his ill-suiting attire and half-hearted rituals.
  • He has harassed pilgrims fr 12 days with his situation-irrelevant political speeches.
  • It is highly unjust to make pushkar pilgrims promise that efforts would be done so that GDP rate was raised to 12 %.
  • It would have been better if Babu promised about not committing corruption any more.
  • The media's support to Babu's publicity mania is too shameful.
  • Eenadu telecasted that bathing for more than 3 minutes in river water would caue diseases but the water was not allowed to flow well. This caused people to bathe in polluted water.
  • Babu stayed in pushkarams patiently, but failed to bother about the farmers in Krishna Delta who were suffering due to drought.
  • Chandrababu's activities lacking commitment caused problems to the state. There would have been God's grace if they were just activities. His misdeeds brought problems to the state.
  • Crores of rupees were spent on just publicity and more crores were simply swallowed.
  • The state is paying for his misdeeds with drought striking it.

People suffering with drought

  • Rulers indifferent to people
  • Chandrababu's atrocious rule in AP
  • Time passed with robbery and publicity: Bhumana
Hyderabad: YSRCP's general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy complained that Chandrababu had been passing time with his publicity craze, leaving the state to suffer. Speaking to the media at the party's central office, he commented that Chandrababu could spend 12 days on pushkarams, but could hardly spend five days on assembly sessions where the problems of the people could be discussed. He suggested that Chandrababu should invite all the prominent personalities in the country just as he had invited them to the pushkarams, so that they could watch and know how atrocious his rule was.
Here is what he spoke.
  • Chandrababu's Government focuses on publicity alone.
  • The state that is 65% agriculture-based has been suffering due to drought since three years.
  • The Government is indifferent towards drought.
  • Rice fields in Godavari districts and peanut fields in Rayalaseema are suffering due to lack of irrigation water.
  • Babu is shameless to ignore crop holiday announced by the farmers.
  • Drinking water scarcity in the state is worse than in summers.
  • Babu could spend 12 days on pushkarams but could not spend at least 5 days on assembly sessions that would allow discussion on people's problems.
  • AP has become notorious for having the Govenment with high degree of corruption and that had abused women the most.
  • Babu's Government has become tyrannical and corrupt to the core.
  • Is Babu there just to invite political veterans to events like pushkarams?
  • Let him invite all those prominent leaders to assembly sessions, so that they can directly watch and learn how atrocious Babu's rule is and how he shuts other voices.
  • What has happened to the promise made by Babu about constructing the most beautiful city in the world?
  • Anna Hazare should be invited to expose what is really going on in the capital city.
  • All representatives of women's veterans should be invited to see how woman empowerment is being made possible in the state through physical abuse of woman officers and Call Money sex racket.
  • Medha Patkar should be invited to see how 550 SC,ST,BC hostels have been shut down and how corrupt money is flowing in place of water in Pattiseema.
  • Chandrababu will also publicise 'Utti' programme of Krishnashtami festival.
  • Babu does not question the Government about the injustice being done to Polavaram project.
  • Integration of rivers Krishna-Godavari, Nagawali-Vamsadhara, Godavari-Penna was promised but never happened.
  • Liquor is flowing throughout the state.
  • People are being forced to enjoy the integration of liquor and river water instead.
  • What has happened to Babu's promise about implementing Swaminathan committee's recommendations?
  • Swaminathan committee should be invited to see the situation of farmers in the state.
  • Assembly sessions do not even happen for 25 days a year under the rule of this incompetent Government.
  • The leader of opposition YS Jagan is hindered from speaking in the assembly about people's problems.
  • Babu explouts for his publicity the pushkarams of rivers Krishna and Godavari, groundbreaking of Amaravathi and Sindhu's felicitation.
  • Why is Babu staying indifferent to the promised development of Rayalaseema?
  • Why is he silent about drought?
  • Only yellow leaders are benefited from Babu's rule.
  • YSRCP shall fight against the atrocious rule relentlessly.

Krishna Delta destroyed in the name of Pattiseema scheme

  • Farmers neglected by Chandrababu
  • MVS Nagireddy slams TDP Government
  • Nagireddy examines crops in Vemuru
Tenali: YSRCP's farmers' wing president MVS Nagireddy complained that Chandrababu had destroyed Krishna Delta in the name of Pattiseema and cautioned the Government against it. Although Krishna Delta had water rights, a chaotic situation had been built up in the name of Pattiseema, he mentioned. He demanded announcement about the extent of water utilisation from Krishna board. He examined the rice crop fields in Vemuru constituency that were suffering from lack of irrigation water availability.
Later, speaking to the media, MVS Nagireddy commented that the area of cultivation land had fallen from 43 lakh hectares to 40.9 lakh hectares in the past two years of TDP rule. He added that the cultivation land in telangana, on the other hand, extended from 38.58 lakh hectares to 43 lakh hectares. In the current Kharif season, by the 15th of August, the cultivation in AP was estimated to be 69% and in Guntur district alone, it was just 59%. Only 76% of the 1.89 lakh hectares in the district could be brought under cultivation, he reported. He complained that Chandrababu had conducted Eruvaka programme and announced that sowing could happen from the 10th of July, but had totally neglected the farmers of Krishna Delta.
Nagireddy criticised that Babu had promised to take water from Pattiseema to Nellore and Penna but failed to provide water to Krishna Delta. He complained that the CM had not cared for the crop fields even around pushkaram areas and that he was responsible for changing Krishna Delta into a barren land. He sadly revealed that the poor farmers were having to extract water from canals with machinery into branch canals and then use it for watering their crops.

While the Polavaram canal that carries Pattiseema water was completed with concrete lining till 130 km had been completed in YSR's tenure, the additional 42km long canal was later built with poor quality, causing a dent, Nagireddy remarked. he added that the fear of dents was preventing the use of 24 pumps. He condemned the Government for not sanctioning input subsidy till now for drought areas. He reminded how Chandrababu had demanded for Rs.10,000 per acre of compensation during drought till 2003 and questioned why he was not implementing that now in his tenure.
Nagireddy expressed readiness to fight against any party on behalf of farmers. Farners' wing state secretary Tippareddy Ramakrishna Reddy, party leaders Perikala Kantharao, Yalamarthi Rammohan Rao, Yalavarthy Nagabhushanam, Gade Sivarama Krishna Reddy, Uyyuru Appireddy and Raparla Narendra toured in Vemuru along with Nagireddy.

Publicity hunt that ignored the people of the state

  • Rs.3500 crore worth robbery in the name of pushkarams
  • Note for Vote case gradually being watered down
  • How many Nayeem behind land scam?!: Gadikota Srikanth Reddy
Hyderabad: YSRCP MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy commented that Chandrababu had done nothing but robbing money in light of Godavari and Krishna pushkarams. He slammed the publicity craze of Chandrababu that had crossed limits. He called it ridiculous of Chandrababu to boast about conducting the once-in-twelve-years pushkarams splendidly. He questioned why Chandrababu was not mentioning about the 30 people who had been killed in Godavari pushkarams. He spoke to the media at the party's central office in Hyderabad.
Here is what he spoke.
  • Babu's craze for publicity has reached the ultimate stage. How can he claim the credit for pushkarams? They come on their own once in every twelve years and we take a sacred dip. What is Chandrababu's part in that?
  • The poor are suffering from several problems. Farmers in Rayalaseema are facing the problem of drought. They invested lakhs of rupees on crops. Income seems to be impossible. There is nobody to think about them.
  • Rs.3500 crore have been robbed in the name of Godavari and Krishna pushkarams. 10% of the funds allotted were spent on pushkarams and 90% were stuffed in the pockets of the ruling party leaders.
  • While the pushkarams could have been conducted as a devotional affair, Chandrababu held them in cinema style, causing disturbance to spirituality.
  • Krishna river was born in Maharashtra. What kind of chaos are they making? Why is Babu creating a scene out of it?
  • Farmers are not trusting Babu's rule anymore. The unemployed are suffering. Nobody's problems are able to bother Babu.
  • The CM has to think about withering crops, the unemployed youth and the suffering farmers.
  • Babu has ordered for demolition of temples and swallowed Sadavarthi lands.
  • TDP leaders who are boasting that everything is perfect have to come to the villages and face the people.
  • It is ridiculous of Babu to announce he was behind PV Sindhu's success. He has to stop claiming credit for wrong things.
  • Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy never engaged himself in self-praise like Babu. He did things to people that left him a place in their hearts forever.
  • KCR swore that Babu could never get out of Note for Vote case. Chandrababu, in turn, stated that KCR could not dare blame him. In spite of mentioning Babu's name 24 times in the chargesheet, he was never called for inquiry. Why is the case being watered down in spite of his having clear involvement?
  • Telangana Government is answerable about why Babu has not yet faced inquiry.
  • Why is Babunot responding about gangster Nayeem and Jerusalem Matthaiah, the suspect in Note for Vote case?
  • It is complained that Nayeem was nurtured by Chandrababu. A proper inquiry will bring out all the facts.
  • Telangana and AP Governments are deliberately watering down these two cases. We demand CBI probe on them.
  • We wonder how many ministers have relations with Nayeem, after Achennayudu suggested settlement with him.

Let Us Chase Away This Atrocious Rule

Bribe expected for sanction of ration card
Certain Dalits of Kondapi constituency complained to the constituency's in-charge Varikuti Ashok Babu that they were being demanded to offer bribe for sanction of ration cards at Tehsildar's office. As part of Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme, he toured in Pakala and Juvvigunta villages. Some of the villagers complained to him that their repeated pleas for the sanction of ration cards had been neglected. Speaking on this occasion, Ashok called for putting an end to the ongoing atrocious rule in the state. He assured the people that their problems would be solved if YS Jagan became the CM.

What is this rule, Babu?
YSRCP West MLA Malla Vijay Prasad complained that Chandrababu had bluffed about over-all development of the state to the people. People are giving huge response to the Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme held to make them aware of Chandrababu's atrocities as well as TDP's failure. The unemployed who had not yet received their stipend, the poor who had no houses and the women whose DWCRA loans had not been waived and were being harasses by bankers slammed Chandrababu's Government.

Same slogan at every doorstep
YSRCP leaders and activists held Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress programme in Chntalacheruvu and Rachapatnam villages of Kaikaluru mandal. They explained about Babu's deception at every doorstep. Same slogan was heard at every doorstep of Y.Kotthapalli village in P.Gannavaram mandal of East Godavari district. People joined their raised voices to say "Johar YSR" and "Jai Jagan". P.Gannavaram coordinator Kondeti Chittibabu conducted the programme.

All for the sake of China?

  • Demolition in the name of development
  • Tens of temples and thousands of houses demolished
  • The secret behind temporary and chaotic works?
  • Tiles at ghats already being damaged

Amaravathi: Even before the 12-day pushkaram ritual could end, the poor quality of the work done for the ritual is surfacing itself. The tiles stuck at Padmavathi Ghat and Krishnaveni Ghat are coming off already, proving to be of low quality. Durga Ghat, Ibrahimpatnam Ferry Ghat and Punnami Ghat were left with concrete surface in the first place. The tiles are coming off sue to the poor quality of work. It is doubted that the Government is upto something with and that it behind this low quality of work.
It is being said that River Front Tourism made a plan in advance and paved a smooth way for itself in the light of pushkarams. Not wanting to pose hindrance for river front tourism behind not completely developing ghats for pushkarams.
Pushkarams' sentiment to avoid resistance
The Government announced to offer importance to river front tourism in Krishna coast. But then it doubted it resistance would be drawn. Hence, it was decided to exploit the sentiment of pushkarams. In the name of facilities, development and road laying, curtains were raised for destruction. Almost 2,500 houses in Vijayawada, Ibrahimpatnam of Krishna district and Seetanagaram of Guntur district along Krishna banks were demolished in the name of development. More than 40 temples were brought down. Statues of Mahatma Gandhi in Ibrahimpatnam and YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Vijayawada were removed. Amidst resistance from people, the statue of TVS Chalapathi Rao, the former municipal chairman was also brought down. All these atrocities were done under the mask of pushkaram work.
Now after pushkarams are over, the Krishna River Front Tourism is planned to be handed over to China. In fact it is noteworthy that the design for the construction of pushkar ghats also has been done by a Chinese company. The work has also been supervised by the companies' representatives. TDP is ultimately sketching to give away hundreds of crores of rupees to Chinese contractors and companies.
