TDP govt. failed in tackling drought

Ananthapuram, October 4: Calling the bluff of TDP government in mitigating drought, Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that nearly 90 % of the crop has dried up in the region while Chandrababu Naidu has been claiming that he has driven away drought from the district in just four days and has also undertook an aerial survey to study the intensity of drought.
Speaking at the Rythu Maha dharna in front of the Collector Office here on Tuesday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ridiculed Chandrababu Naidu for his blatant lies, ignorance and tall talk on the drought situation which shows his inefficiency and indifference towards the serious issue.

During his earlier visit to the district, he had brandished the rain-guns, as if they were invented by him and said that he has driven away drought by providing water to over 4 lakh acres in just four days. The very same field where he used the rain gun has dried up now and he has feigned ignorance and tried to shift the blame on officials and others that no one had brought to his notice about the drought situation.
While the drought situation in the district was so severe and agriculture labour were migrating in search of livelihood, the Chief Minister who boasts of having computer technology which has a huge database was found wanting when it mattered most, he said.
Nearly 90 % of the crop has dried up in the region as farmers have taken up groundnut cultivation this time but the deficit rainfall had a severe impact. The deficit rainfall in July and August had led to drying up of crop and the Chief Minister made numerous visits to the district but has never opened up on the issue as it is not a priority for him.
YSR on the other hand has always been on the side of farmers, who had waived loans in one go and had taken up many schemes to benefit the farmers including irrigation projects.
Some of them remain to be completed but as agriculture is not the priority for Chandrababu Naidu they are still left out, he said adding that the Chief Minister has resorted to impractical figures of providing water to four lakh acres in four days, which is not possible.
The claim of providing water is only an alibi to evade input subsidy. Of Rs 990 crore input subsidy, nothing was paid so far. There has been deficit rainfall in the region varying from 25 to 52 % and though rainfall is not in our hands, the government should be providing aid and take steps to mitigate the drought situation and ensure that there are no farmer suicides, he said.
YSR had shown the way of how a Chief Minister should conduct himself in the face of drought by mounting pressure on the Centre and taking effective steps to ease the drought by expediting the irrigation projects including Handri-Neva, Galeru-Nagari and Pulichinthala which were completed by 80 % and even today they remain the same.
Even in the face of migration by agriculture labour due to lack of work, the funds for Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme have been diverted. Chandrababu Niadu has been silent even when KCR was drawing more water share.
We have to join hands to fight the anti-farmer policies of the government, he said.

TDP oppressing people's wishes

Hyderabad, Oct 3: Describing the shifting of governance to the temporary capital as an exercise which lacks any rationale, YSR Congress said that TDP has been using police force to curb people’s movements which will boomerang.
‘The shifting of governance to tentative capital in a hurry is only to cover up the shady deals of Chandrababu Naidu as he his scared after cash for vote case. The person who spoke of staying put in the joint capital for ten years leaving in a hurry shows the main reason of urgency,’ party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Monday.
‘The tentative capital lacks any infrastructure and the shifting of governance is only to continue the corrupt practices and is also part of the secret pact he had after the cash for vote case. The first half of Chandrababu Naidu term has come to a close but no effort was made to develop infrastructure for the capital city,’ he said.
The TDP government has been trying to curb popular and people’s movements by using force and the provisions of PD Act, which are normally used against criminals and unruly elements. Invoking such Act against political leaders and social activist’s shows that Chandrababu Naidu has been misusing the administration for political and personal gains, he said.
Condemning the police behaviour on CPM leader P Madhu at the Aqua Food Park in West Godavari district, he said such decisions will strengthen the movements further and spell doom to the government. Whenever, Chandrababu Naidu or Venkaiah Naidu visits any place in the state, police have been invoking PD Act and putting the Opposition leaders under custody. Police should also use discretion and go by the rule book, he said.

How Could You Deceive Your People?

  • Promise made in Tirupati by the name of God
  • Now they ask what the use of SCS is!
  • We shall achieve SCS under YS Jagan's leadership
  • YSRCP leaders Amzad and Akepati

YSR District: Eleven states in the country were granted special category status after it was decided by the cabinet. Then why was the centre hesitating to grant the status to AP, questioned YSRCP MLA Amzad Basha. He attended and spoke at Chaitanya Patham programme organised in YSR District. He reminded how telecast had been cut off at the time of passing bifurcation bill and BJP supported Congress in passing it. While five crore people of AP were fighting for special category status, the centre was evading its sanction, mentioned it was not in the law. Venkaiah Naidu suggested at the time of bifurcation that the status should be sanctioned for ten years, but had now gone back on his word. He condemned bluffing about special package as being a great boon. He confronted the Governments for not having commitment to offer special status to AP.

Why don't they sanction the status if it is so useless?
When the Governments felt that the special category status was of no use, why did they not give it to AP as they would not have anything to lose from it, questioned YSRCP's president of YSR Kadapa District, Akepati Amarnath Reddy. Speaking at Chaitanya Patham programme, he questioned why people of AP were fighting for it if it was of no use. He reminded how PM Narendra Modi had promised ten years of special category status during his speech at Tirupati and how Chandrababu had promised the status for fifteen years instead and how they had shifted gears to now say that it was of no use. He demanded to know why TDP leaders had invested in the states with special category status. He also questioned why the CM who was talking high about special package, was not making his ministers and MLAs invest in AP instead. Akepati reminded how YSRCP president YS Jagan had been proclaiming since the beginning that AP would develop if special category status was sanctioned to it and had been fighting for the cause through dharnas, strikes and agitations. He declared that they would achieve special category status under the leadership of YS Jagan.

Why can't we call one who cheats, a cheat?

  • Babu considers agriculture useless
  • Babu's helicopter tour who was set up after knowing about the opposition leader's visit
  • YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana

Guntur: YSRCP's senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana questioned why the CM who did not care about the promises he had made to people should not be called a demonic CM. He demanded to know from the TDP leaders what else could Chandrababu be called after deceiving all classes of people in the state.

Botsa examined the flood affected areas of Kakumanu Mandal in Guntur district on Thursday. He examined the crop fields damaged by floods, offering losses to the farmers. Later, speaking in a media conference, he mentioned how the heavy rains in the state for the last 10 days had caused heavy loss of lives, assets and crop fields. He reminded that major loss had been suffered by Guntur District and the leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan had visited and consoled the farmers who had suffered losses due to floods. He demanded that the government should pay compensation to the farmers affected by floods.

Botsa criticised Chandrababu's Government for not taking enough safety measures in spite of the environment department's repeatedly warning about heavy rains. The CM did not take up any assistance measures in the state until the leader of opposition insisted. He also hastily planned his visit in the flood areas by helicopter after knowing that the leader of opposition YS Jagan would tour in the areas. He slammed Chandrababu for looking for political benefits instead of coming to the aid of the farmers and the people affected by floods. He condemned not discussing the the losses due to floods in the collectors' conference that was conducted for 2 days. He stressed that the Government was responsible for assisting Guntur district that had suffered major loss.

Botsa criticized Chandrababu for boasting about 12% increase of GDP wild people of the state was suffering due to drought. He suggested that Babu's boasting should leave farmers' agony alone. He questioned the justification behind instructing banks not to offer loans beyond scale of finance in the bankers' meeting and later exclaiming that the banks were not offering loans. He confronted how the farmers could get new loans if their old loans were not waived. He demanded the Government to clear the sand deposits caused by overflow of canals. He suggested that this work could be used for Employment Guarantee scheme.

Botsa demanded for estimation of crop loss and loss of assets buy local officials and people's representatives. He suggested Chandrababu to stop counterattacking the opposition without properly understanding their intention. Slamming TDP leaders' ideology that agriculture was a waste of time, he suggested to Babu not to use this situation to perform corruption in the mask of input subsidy and compensation payment.

SCS, lifeline of people

Hyderabad, Sept 28: Reaffirming that special category status (SCS) is the lifeline of the people of the state which has been underplayed by Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu who have been working and speaking in tandem, YSR Congress has said that it will continue its fight until the goal is achieved.
‘While special status benefits the multitude of people special package will benefit a select contractors and a coterie. Venkaiah Naidu advocating the TDP view point that the special status is not a wonder drug raises doubts about his political affiliations,’ party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy told reporters here on Wednesday.
It was Venkaiah Naidu who has been touring the state more frequently, despite his claim that he was elected from this state, and participating in a slew of felicitation functions in which he has been constantly praising Chandrababu Naidu and undermining the need for special status.
It was the same Venkaiah Naidu who sought special category status for 10 years in Rajya Sabha and Chandrababu Naidu wanted for five more years. After coming to power the duo is working hard to push the issue to back burner, he said.
The Union Minister’s claim that he had went back on the special status issue after leaders from other states approached him and sought the same benefit for their states has no relevance as it was the same Venkaiah Naidu who spoke about the need for special status which was included in the election manifesto and released at Vizag before the 2014 elections which came after the Parliament session, he said.
The amount released by RBI to the states having special category status was three times more than that of Andhra Pradesh and the many riders for giving the benefit to our state have come up only after forming the government and not even during electioneering, he said.
‘It is unbecoming on part of Venkaiah Naidu to speak ill about YSR Congress during his felicitation at Tenali,’ he said.
‘While YSR Congress stands for the people, leaders opposing the special status and ask for special package have a commercial agenda,’ he said adding that they will take up the issue to its logical end.

Corruption rampant in State

Hyderabad, Sept 28: Reiterating that corruption has grown manifold in the state, YSR Congress has said that TDP has institutionalized corruption and has been brazenly patronizing it and even a national survey has pointed out that Andhra Pradesh tops the list of corrupt states in the country.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, party MLA G Srikanth Reddy said: ‘corruption levels have gone up very high and with Chandrababu Naidu himself being named in the cash for vote case and the trend has percolated down the line.
MLAs have been openly speaking in relative terms on the issue of corruption as the National Council for Applied Economic Resources has placed Andhra Pradesh on top of the table of corrupt states. From the top leadership down the line corruption has become rampant and it has been like never before, he said.
‘Leaders from the ruling party have turned into extortionists and it has come in the open. Contractors and even MLAs have been openly spilling the beans which shows the general acceptance within the party circles,’ he said.
Polavaram project has been only to benefit the contractors preferred by the ruling party and the irrigation deals are in the open with the small balance of works of YSR’s Jalayagnam being given on single tender to preferred contractors at highly inflated rates, he said.
Even the Godavari and Krishna pushkarams were seen as an opportunity to mint money and was blatantly done while core issues like drought were neglected, he said.

Babu is all lies and deception

  • People backstabbed with ignorance of promises
  • There is no CM worse than him
  • Not a little help to farmers
  • Flood victims should be rescued at least now
  • YS Jagan's tour in flooded areas
Guntur: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan criticised that Chandrababu was not bothering about the difficulties of farmers and people in villages. He slammed Babu for taking flights leaving people to suffer. He reminded how Babu had backstabbed his father-in-law NT Ramarao for power and added that he had now backstabbed people to get into power, with his poll promises. He toured in flooded areas and stood supportive of victims of the natural disaster.
Caring the least about pouring rain, he met and consoled victims in Reddygudem. People reported to him that neither rulers nor officials had come to their rescue. Speaking on this occasion, YS Jagan stated that it was unfortunate that the Government had not offered a rupee as assistance to the flood victims. He criticised Chandrababu for not entering villages.
YS Jagan stated that an amount of Rs.120 crore was due as input subsidy from the Government to farmers of Guntur district alone. While the centre paid Rs.463 crore of the total Rs.1000 crore, Babu had misused it for something else, he complained. Calling Babu a man of lies, YS Jagan questioned if he had any love for the farmers. After announcing that agricultural and DWCRA loans would be unconditionally waived, he had backed off upon coming to power, YS Jagan commented.

He mentioned how women were mortgaging their nuptial chains in order to get loans, as a result of Babu's deception. Recollecting how TDP's poll promises had said that babu should come to power for mortgaged gold to come back home, he criticised that Babu was watching the show as banks were auctioning the mortgaged gold. He condemned Chandrababu's instructing banks to not offer loans to farmers, over not waiving their old loans. He exclaimed that there was no CM in India, worse than Chandrababu.

YS Jagan stated that the farmers were in deteriorated state of mind after having seen their crops withering due to lack of rainfall till the end of August and now drowning in floods, after giving a little temporary hope. He mentioned that cotton, rice and chilly were sown in lakhs of acres only to be destroyed by the calamity. Rice in houses got wet. Thirty computers in schools were drenched in the water. But Babu was least concerned about all this, while roaming in his helicopters, YS Jagan remarked. He made it clear that YSRCP would stay supportive of all the farmers and victims of flood till they received proper assistance.

Come Down To Hear Their Agony

  • Loans have not been waived
  • Not one rupee of input subsidy is given
  • Babu is roaming in planes instead of examining crops
  • YS Jagan examining destroyed crops
  • Demand to the Government for doing justice to farmers

Guntur:  The leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president YS Jagan complained that the farmers' difficulties were going without being heard or cared for by the Government. He condemned Chandrababu's taking flights while farmers on the ground were crying from their losses due to destroyed crops. He examined the crop fields destroyed by floods in Muthyalampadu village of Dachepalli mandal in Guntur district. He inquired farmers about their problems and assured them of his support. On this occasion, he slammed the Government's behaviour.
Here is what he spoke.
  • During monsoon, cotton and rice crops were sown in 3 lakh acres and chilly was sown in 1.5 lakh acres area. Now all of them have been destroyed.
  • Lease amount for cotton is around Rs.40,000-50,000. More than Rs.20,000 has been invested. For chilly, more than Rs.50,000 has been invested. Now everything has been destroyed.
  • While farmers are suffering from such heavy losses, Chandrababu is roaming in the sky instead of directly examining the crops.
  • It is unfortunate that neither officials nor rulers are coming to visit farmers.
  • Not a rupee is being given as assistance to agriculture.
  • There have not been any rains till the end of July or August. Finally when there was some rain and farmers tried to rescue their crops, they were drenched and drowned by heavy rains.
  • Not a rupee was given last year to farmers as input subsidy.
  • Guntur district alone should receive Rs.120 crore from the total of Rs.1000 crore. But nothing has been given till date.
  • With no input subsidy given, no loans being waived and no gold mortgaged in banks reaching home as promised, farmers are confused and helpless.
  • With Chandrababu instructing banks to not offer loans, farmers are unable to get a rupee of loan.
  • This situation is leaving the farmers with no option but to get private loans for 2-3% rate of interest.
  • Chandrababu has to take responsibility, come down to the ground and examine the losses. He has to do justice to the farmers at loss.

Fight for special status at various levels

  • Strong movement for special category status
  • United effort for the cause
  • Chandrababu’s corruption everywhere
  • MPs will resign if needed
  • People’s verdict will be an eye-opener
Hyderabad: The leader of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan proclaimed that the fight for special category status would be consolidated further. In order to raise awareness among the NRIs regarding the issue, along with senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa rao, he discussed many issues through video interaction from the party’s central office in Hyderabad.
First YS Jagan explained about the importance of special category status. He also slammed Chandrababu’s deception in the matter. He commented that the state had been divided irregularly and with Hyderabad not being divided, people of AP had to lose 98% percentage of the companies. He reminded that 70% of the production industries were in Hyderabad. YS Jagan remarked that we need special status in order to competitively attain the state of the art infrastructure. Mentioning the discounts possible through the status, he called for further consolidation of fight for its achievement.
YS Jagan made it clear that YSRCP’s MPs would resign if needed, in order to achieve the status for the state. Proclaiming they would join hands with anybody in the struggle for special status, he slammed Chandrababu for thanking and welcoming Arun Jaitley’s announcement of special package, thus slaughtering the hopes for the grant of special status.
Here is what he spoke during the online interaction with NRIs.
  • There is no bigger liar than Chandrababu.
  • Nobody can manipulate systems in India as Chandrababu does.
  • When Telangana has been achieved, it is not impossible to achieve special category status.
  • Struggle will find solution in democracy.
  • He boasted about his doing MA and PhD. Then why is nobody calling him “Dr.Chandrababu”?
  • We have also seen him say things like he invented the cell phone.
  • Everyone knows how good his English is.
  • Chandrababu welcomed Arun Jaitley’s announcement, wonder how far he could understand it!
  • Announcement was made about special package in Legislative Council and the centre was thanked for it.
  • Polavaramproject’s regulations were irregularly altered.
  • The system should change. People should confront the leaders.
  • How long we live does not matter; it is how we live that matters.
  • The centre clearly said that not much is being done for Polavaram either.
  • Chandrababu’s Government is trying to continue the same contractor unjustly, in spite of Polavaram authority’s will and pleas.
  • Chandrababu is not bothering about the contractor’s inefficiency.
  • Instead of bringing pressure on the centre in the direction of sanctioning the status, Chandrababu is diverting the topic.
  • Employment opportunities for the youth will improve only with the advent of new industries.
  • Industrial discounts will be possible only if special status is given.
  • Industrialists will come forward to invest if discounts are given.
  • If CM and cabinet ministers deceive people, who else can help?
  • We all can see the written form of announcement made by Arun Jaitley.
  • Chandrababu is jumping with joy for what Arun Jaitley dropped into our hands.
  • Chandrababu is delighted even if special status has been drowned.
  • We will join hands with anybody who wants to fight for the status, like we did with people’s organisations and communists.
  • Chandrababu was caught red-handed in Cash for Vote case. He is satisfied with whatever the state gives the state, as long as he is not pulled into the court for interrogation.
  • Every agitation for the status is becoming successful due to unity.
  • We will raise cognizance among people with our agitations. Our aim is to achieve the status.
  • Special status is an elixir.
  • Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu who have suggested at the time of the state’s bifurcation and promised at the time of elections for sanction of special status to AP for 10 and 15 years respectively have changed their word now.
  • TDP and BJP will collapse due to their behaviour in the matter of special status just like Congress Party that collapsed in AP due to the decision taken by UPA Government regarding bifurcation of the state.
  • Only the PM has the power to sanction special category status.
  • The 14th Finance Commission never objected to the idea of sanction of special status. Letter written by its member Abhijit Sen clearly proves it.
  • PM gave Jammu & Kashmir that is already enjoying special status, a special package of Rs.80,000 crore. Does that mean it does not have special status?
  • In 2019, definitely coalition Government will be formed in the centre. No party is going to get 280 seats. If we win 22-23 seats, we can demand the centre.
  • Vinukonda MLA established a company in Himachal Pradesh that has special status. How can this be explained?
  • Due to the benefits offered by the special category status, industrialists themselves will come forward to invest.
  • Listening to Arun Jaitley’s announcement, nobody would want to thank him.
  • The funds supposed to be sanctioned to the state are being given with a different name.
  • Chandrababu is sidetracking everybody’s attention in the matter of capital city.
  • Good quality crop lands have been snatched from farmers with false statements.
  • Swiss Challenge system is being used to pass time.
  • Why are the 20 MLAs who joined TDP after defecting YSRCP, not being asked to resign?
  • Questioning Chandrababu’s corruption is leading to counterblaming about hindering development.
  • There is 972 km coastal corridor in AP.
  • Special category status seems to be set aside.
  • Our youth is well-educated and talented. They all will be benefited from the status.
  • Do not lose courage. Fight with determination will yield the status.
  • Chandrababu is posing obstacles to or fight.
  • Let us fight in spite of resistance from the centre and Chandrababu.
  • Support from every one of you is needed for this movement.
  • Relentless fight will definitely make it possible.
  • Actually, it is Chandrababu who has to fight and achieve the status by bringing pressure through withdrawing his ministers from the union Government.
  • But his dormancy is provoking us to fight.
  • Rulers are getting habitual of lying at the time of elections and neglecting people later.

Struggle For SCS Should Be Heated Up

Let us make sure the struggle is heated up
YSRCP's official spokesman Ambati Rambabu proclaimed that it was everybody's responsibility to make sure the struggle for special category status was heated up in such a way that Chandrababu brought pressure on BJP Government veterans like Narendra Modi and Venkaiah Naidu. He spoke at Chaitanya Patham programme organised at Guntur. He called for everybody's solidarity to the movement going on in AP for the cause. He mentioned that people of Telangana who performed many struggles and agitations to finally achieve their state were an inspiration.

Babu is answerable
Narasaraopet MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy mentioned ow Chandrababu had earlier stated that his blood was boiling and later welcomed special package and demanded to know what had happened between the two incidents. Speaking at Chaitanya Patham programme, he slammed Babu fordeceiving people in the name of special package. He condemned Babu's attempts to divert people's emotions by bluffing special package was a great deal. He questioned what was behind Chandrababu's emphasis on the importance of special package while the youth were in favour of special status, after Chandrababu's promises. He cited that Himachal Pradesh had had 23,000 jobs before special category status was given, but later they had risen to more than 1,25,000. He suggested that Babu should consider these facts before making statements.

Babu Being Punished Is Inevitable

  • Being caught red-handed in Cash for Vote case
  • Attempting to buy Telangana MLAs with black money
  • Approching courts for getting 'stay' to evade postpone being punished
  • YSRCP MLA RK comments
New Delhi: Though AP CM Chandrababu was caught red-handed in Cash for Vote case, he was pushing time by getting stay from the court, YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy commented. He mocked Chandrababu by stating he had obtained stay in 18 cases till now. He reminded how the Supreme Court had stipulated a time limit of 4 weeks after he garnered stay from the High Court. He questioned why Chandrababu was getting stay if he was innocent.

Chandrababu was caught red-handed in Cash for Vote case. He had attempted to buy Telangana MLAs with black money, RK commnted. He confided that teh voice in the audio tapes was certainly Chandrababu's. Stating that Chandrababu being punished was inevitable, he reminded how the Supreme Court had imposed time limit of 4 weeks on argument over Babu's quash petition.

After Alla Ramakrishna Reddy's lawyer, Shekhar Naphade made his point, Siddharth Luthra, the defending lawyer also argued. The Supreme Court judge sternly questioned Luthra how a case registered under anti-corruption law could be given stay, wondering how the High Court had given stay on this case in the first place.

NTR was not even given an opportunity to speak

  • TDP has the history of attacking the speaker and the Governor as well
  • YSRCP MLA Peddireddy slams TDP
Hyderabad: YSRCP's senior leader and MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy opined that the Government was conspiring against the MLAs of opposition YSRCP. He remarked that Yanamala's resolution and provoking behaviour of ruling party leaders in the monsoon assembly sessions were part of this conspiracy. The assembly marshals were supposed to enter the house only after any member was suspended, but the Government had tried to run the session in their presence from the beginning, he complained.

AP assembly's privilege committee meeting began. Discussion took place on the incidents that had happened during the monsoon sessions of the house. Privilege committee decided that a report should be submitted to the speaker within 45 days. After the meeting ended, Peddireddy spoke to the media. He slammed TDP for having attacked the Governor and the speaker in the past. He also reminded how NT Ramarao had not even been given a chance to speak after he was pulled off the CM's throne, specifying that Yanamala also had had a role in that.

Peddireddy mentioned that they had been fighting for the sanction of special category status for AP for two years and had insisted on discussion on the issue in the house. He made it clear that they had not abused or insulted anybody in the house and hence, appealed in the meeting for not taking any action against them.

YS Jagan's Face-To-Face Talk With Students

Eluru: At Yuvabheri programme held at Eluru in West Godavari district, YSRCP president YS Jagan spoke face-to-face with students regarding special category status. He answered their questions and assured that fees reimbursement scheme would be implemented without fail once YSRCP came to power in order to encourage poor youth to go for higher education. He stated that his service would make sure that his pictures were hung at people's houses one day, just like his father YSR's.
When a student, Mounika, asked him about fees reimbursement scheme, YS Jagan responded to acclaim the scheme as the best of the schemes initiated by legendary leader YSR. He slammed the leaders who had watered down the scheme after YSR's demise. Stating that it had become difficult for poor students to go for higher education as a result. YS Jagan assured that he would not only implement fees reimbursement scheme but also pay mess bills for poor students.
..............................................
Do we need such a CM?: Swetha, Student
A job was promised for every household at the time of elections. Rs.2000 stipend was also promised otherwise. This is a huge false promise. Do we need a CM who deceived us with such promises?
YS Jagan: I hope Chandrababu will be transformed at least after listening to the words of people like you. At least then, he will hesitate before making fake and impossible promises.
–––––––––––
Not one industry has been established: Ayesha, Student
CM Chandrababu has been roaming in special flights around the world for the past two years, bluffing to be trying to get investments for the state, but not one industry has been set up.
YS Jagan: Chandrababu has always been bluffing people. He has been going on flights since he came to power and bluffing people about special category status being sanctioned, MoUs being signed and industries being set up. If special category status is sanctioned, there will not be any need for Chandrababu to go anywhere. He has mortgaged special status, the right of 5 crore people. If Chandrababu gives ultimatum to the centre by withdrawing his ministers, we will get special category status.
–––––––––––––
The law should punish Babu: Anil Kumar, Student
Chandrababu, who has been bluffing about bringing special category status for 2.5 years, is now talking big about special package. He promised loan waiver and jobs but later forgot about them. The law should come down to punish such a person.
YS Jagan: It was publicised that jobs would be available if Babu came to power. That has not come true even after 2.5 years. Let us fight till babu comes to his senses.

Chevireddy Arrested For Staging Agitation

Guntur: YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy was arrested by the police, as he staged agitation in front of CID office in Guntur, protesting against the unjust imposition of cases against YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.

Earlier today, he spoke to the media at Guntur and slammed the Government for following vengeful attitude towards the opposition and specified how Chandrababu was conspiring to target YSRCP president YS Jagan and senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and corner them in the matter of Tuni arson. Along with YSRCP's official spokesman Ambati Rambabu, he also slammed the police for behaving like TDP activists in supporting and aiding Chandrababu's conspiracies.

They ridiculed that investigation a person with no involvement in the case for 2 days and 16 hours and again summoning him for inquiry was nothing but a blind game.

Botsa's open challenge to TDP

  • Challenge to Venkaiah Naidu to be felicitated amidst the public
  • People's lack of respect to politicians due to leaders like Venkaiah and Babu
  • Polavaram to benefit Babu with commissions and contracts
  • YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana speaks
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP's senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana challenged the central and the state Governments that he would quit politics if it was proven to have been mentioned in the AP reorganisation act that 70% of Polavaram national project's expenditure would be born by the centre and 30% by the state. Mentioning that Chandrababu's words and deeds were confusing, he slammed Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu during his speech on the occasion of Chaitanya Patham programme held at Visakhapatnam. He remarked that people were taking all politicians easy just because of the double entendre exhibited by leaders like Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu.

Botsa slammed the double entendre of a senior leader like Venkaiah Naidu. He criticised the way the latter had said that he had backed off when he realised special category status would not be given. Botsa questioned why Venkaiah could not convince the centre into sanctioning special category status. He reminded how Venkaiah had mentioned special status was a wonder drug while releasing BJP's manifesto in Visakhapatnam. He also added that Venkaiah had announced at the public meeting held at Nellore that he would take the responsibility of getting special category status for the state for 10 years and had declared at Tirupati that they would not sleep unless the status was achieved. He commented that half of industries deserved by AP had gone to Himachal Pradesh as it got special status, leading to the improvement of employment sector.

What has AP specially been given?
Botsa challenged Venkaiah Naidu to be felicitated amidst the people and not secretly amidst the police. He questioned why a national project like Polavaram was handed over to the state Government. Informing that the project was the responsibility of the centre according to reorganisation act, he commented that Chandrababu had taken up the responsibility only to fill his pockets through commissions and contracts. He questioned what objection Chandrababu had if the centre took up the project's construction. Mentioning Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu's boasting about AP's getting educational institutions, he questioned what the state was getting other than what was mentioned in the reorganisation act.

  • We will go to any extent to achieve special status
  • We will fight with the slogan Visakha steel is the right of people of AP
  • YSRCP MLA Giddi Eshwari
Visakhapatnam: YSRCP MLA Giddi Eshwari mentioned that AP CM Chandrababu and cabinet minister Venkaiah Nadu had behaved against the people's will and that it was unfortunate of the people of the state to have such leaders. She attended the Chaitanya Patham programme held at Akkayyapalem of Visakhapatnam. Speaking on this occasion, she slammed Chandrababu and Venkaiah Naidu for stating that the special package announced by the centre was better than special category status and misleading people. She condemned the TDP leaders and the media to say that half of the people had no awareness.

She called it their ignorance to think people were ignorant. She slammed the TDP and the BJP leaders for pushing aside the special category status voted for by 175 MLAs twice in the assembly. She also criticised Chandrababu for getting ready to issue a statement on special package in the assembly while the opposition YSRCP was demanding discussion on special category status. Eshwari also slammed the Government for getting the opposition leaders and the representatives of people's organisations arrested for holding bandh as there had been news about the possible announcement of special package. She stated that it suggested Chandrababu's interest in special package.

Giddi Eshwari criticised Chandrababu who had mortgaged special category status for selfish benefits for deceiving people again by stating that it would yield no good results. She condemned Babu for not making any announcement till date about the special railway zone for Visakhapatnam mentioned in the reorganisation act. She cautioned the Government that they would continue to work with slogans "Visakha steel is the right of people of AP", citing how Girijans had united to prevent the Government from digging bauxite. She suggested that the youth should get more awareness on the importance of special category status.

Babu is used to backstabbing politics

  • Babu cannot scare with cases and arrests
  • Babu is a tyrannical power - People are unfortunate to have him as the CM
  • YSRCP's general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
Guntur: YSRCP's state general secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy criticised that Chandrababu had been into backstabbing politics since the beginning. He complained that he was being unjustly cornered in spite of not having anything to do with Tuni arson. Stating that Chandrababu was trying to impose that blame on YSRCP, Bhumana suggested that he should stop such conspiracies. He commented that conspiring was as easy for Chandrababu as humming a song. He remarked that it was not easy for Babu to scare him with cases and arrests.

Bhumana commented that Babu's personality was to consider a simple hello as a conspiracy and simple speech as a crime. He said that Chandrababu did not like it if people heard something other than what he spoke. He did not like it if people's opinions were reflected by the opposition or the media. He specified that he would not be scared in spite of the harassment in the name of repeated inquiries. He remarked that Chandrababu was doing all this out of jealousy towards YSRCP's and YS Jagan's support to Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham.

Bhumana made it clear that he would start implementing direct action as an activist in Kapu movement if he was arrested. Blaming TDP for not implementing the promises made to Kapu community like joining it in BC category, he remarked that TDP was always trying to divert people's attention from the Government's failure in implementing promises to YSRCP.

Bhumana commented that Chandrababu was the most atrocious and tyrannical leader in national politics. He remarked that the people of the state were unfortunate to have Chandrababu as the CM.

TDP govt. failed in medicare

Hyderabad, Sept 19: Reiterating that TDP government has failed in checking the rampant increase of viral fever in various parts of the state, YSR Congress has demanded the state to take immediate steps to come to the rescue of the suffering people.
‘Chandrababu Naidu’s priorities have been different all the time and the Medical and Health Minister has no concern for the growing incidence dengue,  malaria and other viral fever which are wide spread in tribal and other areas as well,’ party SC Cell state president Merugu Nagarjuna told reporters here on Monday.
Many villages in the state are under the grip of viral fever and the poor people are suffering while there has been no aid forthcoming from the government side.
‘The state should immediately take up measures including awareness camps and supply medicines to the poor. The government hospitals are not in a position to supply quality medicines and have been non-functional since long,’ he said.
Even legislators are not getting the needed medication which is highly deplorable, he said adding that Chanrababu Naidu has only Polavaram, contracts and kickbacks on his agenda and not the welfare of the people, he said.
As YSR was a medical doctor, he knew the pulse of the people and launched many welfare schemes in the medical and health sector which includes Aarogryasri but TDP government has been totally ignoring the medicare.
‘We demand that the state come forward and take up medicare on a priority basis,’ he said

Yuvabheri - An Aid Of Cognizance

  • YSRCP's relentless struggle for special category status
  • BJP and TDP slaughter promises mentioned in reorganisation law
  • Chandrababu mortgages the state's benefits
  • People's leader owes to do anything for the achievement of status
Hyderabad: YSRCP has increased solidarity for its struggle for special category status for AP. YSRCP president YS Jagan has gotten ready to go to any extent in order to fight against the injustice being done to AP. While UPA Government had bifurcated the state, causing injustice to it, TDP and BJP Governments, who assured assistance by making many promises, later deceived the people, much to their agony.

Backstabbing people
BJP and TDP have backstabbed the people who voted for them. For 2.5 years, they bluffed the people. YSRCP is protesting against the deceptive behaviour of the Governments. The leader of opposition slammed the Governments' behaviour, holding dharnas and agitations. He also organised programmes like Yuvabheri. There was nothing YS Jagan did not do in order to attain the status. As he performed indefinite strike, with least care for his life, Chandrababu conspired to disturb that too. But nothing could pose disturbance to the determination of the leader. Even in the recent assembly, he led his MLAs in marching to the house in black and protesting for three days in black. They also held a bandh on the 10th of this month. Still the Government gave no care for the agony of the peoplke reflected by YSRCP.

Yuvabheri to bring about cognizance in the youth
YS Jagan got ready to create awareness among the youth regarding special category status. He initiated Yuvabheri programme in universities for the cause. All the phases of the programme were big hit. Chandrababu's conspiracies to disturb the tremendously-received programme did not work. The youth took part in a huge number and were mobilised by the people's leader. The programme is being planned to be held at Eluru of West Godavari district on the 22nd of this month. YS Jagan declared that YSRCP would not rest until special category status was achieved.

At Tirupati, Yuvabheri programme was held for the first time on the 15th of September in 2015. The programme received tremendous response from the youth. They attended the event from various universities and raised slogans in favour of sanction of special category status. Certain professors and intellectuals supported the cause.

Visakhapatnam (September 22, 2015)
Yuvabheri programme organised at Visakhapatnam on the 22nd of September in 2015 was a success, in spite of the Government's attempts to disturb it. A huge number of students attended the meeting. Kalavani auditorium was filled with enthusiastic youth. YSRCP president YS Jagan roared aloud and created awareness among them about the importance of special category status. He slammed the Government's behaviour and failure in the matter. In spite of the Government's attempts to hinder the youth from attending the programme, they attended in a great number.

At Ambedkar Bhavan in Kakinada city, Yuvabheri was conducted on the 27th of January in 2016. Students offered grand welcome to YS Jagan who attended the event as chief guest. Students from many places around the state attended the event. The special status deserved democratically by the state and its benefits were clearly explained to the youth by the people's leader.

Chandrababu Remarks Flayed

Hyderabad: YSR Congress has taken objection to the remarks of Chandrababu Naidu which were belittling the judiciary and blaming the opposition for all and sundry. ‘ If two private parties have gone to the court challenging the Swiss Challenge adopted in the capital creation, Chandrababu Naidu blaming the opposition and dubbing it as stalling development is ridiculous’, party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Friday.

We are not against development but are against the methodology of corruption in the name of development and his remarks that someone goes to court at a weak moment and TDP has to undo the legal tangle has no basis as the entire deal is laden with corruption. Whether Pattiseema, Capital formation of Polavaram all the ventures have been full of irregularities and if the affected party goes to court, Chandrababu Naidu blaming the opposition and calling us as fanatics is absolutely rubbish. We will continue to expose the corrupt practices of Chandrababu Naidu and his son and will stand by the people and their welfare, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu has always been moving courts for stay whenever there has been an exposure and the pattern has been very familiar. The Advocate General has argued on behalf of the State in the Swiss Challenge method and when the single judge had given the ruling, the state has moved higher court for a stay which shows that the deal has many loopholes, he said.

This apart Chandrababu Naidu has been spreading lies even at the BRICS Summit painting a rosy picture of Andhra Pradesh while the reality is otherwise. Putting up a brave face, he had said that the State stands second in the country in terms of ease to do business while it was Telangana that takes that spot and Andhra Pradesh stands much down below at the tenth spot, he said.

Asking his supporters if the Opposition Party is necessary or not looks amusing and the fact is the number of votes differentiating TDP and YSRCP during the 2014 elections was just 5.25 lakhs, which is less than the majority YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has acquired during Kadapa Lok Sabha elections, he said.
