RTC staff gets YS Jagan’s support

Ananthapuram, Expressing solidarity with the RTC employees who are on strike, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded that the State should resolve the issue immediately and if there is no breakthrough within four days YSRCP will join and intensify the agitation by observing a state-wide bandh.

“The main demand of 43 % fitment is a very just demand and the State should concede to this demand. The strike has entered the seventh day but no solution is forthcoming. If the same situation continues, YSR Congress will extend full support to the employees and give a State-wide bandh call,” he said while addressing RTC employees here on Tuesday.

“It was Chandrababu Naidu who has said before elections in April 2014 that RTC will be merged with State Government and their pay will be equal. He went a step further and said that the pay structure will be revised and it will be on par with Central Government pay scales.

After coming to power he discarded his poll promise and is very indifferent to the just demands of the RTC employees who are on strike for the past seven days.

We express our solidarity with you and if no solution is found within four days from the Government side we will give a call for state-wide bandh,” he said.
