Restore blocked tv channels

Hyderabad, June 12: Demanding the immediate restoration of Sakshi and other blacked out channels, YSR Congress has said that police highhandedness vis-à-vis Mudragada Padmanabham’s fast and obstructing the people who want to meet him is highly condemnable.
‘The MSOs coming under pressure from the government and police in blocking the channels and the state ministers openly telling that the channels will not be restored until Mudragada Padmanabham’s fast is over is highly condemnable,’ party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Sunday.
The MSOs (Master Signal Operators) cannot yield to political or police pressure and they have to give 21 day notice to block any channel and the interference of government is highly deplorable.
If the channels are not restored immediately, we will explore legal options, he said.
Mudragada’s fast and police blocking leaders meeting him are sending dangerous signals and is reminding of the Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga’s episode, he said.
When YSRCP delegation has went to meet the fasting Kapu leader, they were arrested at Rajahmundry airport and kept in a police station till evening and did not allow them to meet him.
When people voluntarily were closing down shops police used force to refrain them which is not fair in a democratic set, he said.
The highhandedness of police is highly objectionable, he said and demanded that the blocked channels should be immediately restored and any leader coming to meet Mudragada Padmanabaham should be allowed to talk to him.
