Fury Towards Hold Of Sakshi Channel Telecast

  • YSRCP leaders condemn the Government
Hyderabad: Displeasure is being expressed all over towards the TDP Government's oppression of freedom of media through blocking the telecast of Sakshi news channel for exposing the atrocities of the Government. Opposition YSRCP's leaders, activists and followers staged dharnas in various places. Public organisations and journalist unions showed agitation at some places.
A huge rally was held in Vizianagaram. Agitators slammed the Government for intentionally and vengefully blocking the telecast of the news channel. They condemned home minister Chinnarajappa for announcing that the telecast would be resumed when Mudragada put an end to his dharna. They remarked that there was absolutely no relation between the channel's telecast and Mudragada's deeksha for realisation of promises made to Kapu community. They demanded the Government to take care of the promises made, if it had any commitment. They cautioned that a huge agitation would be held under the leadership of the district's party president and MLC Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy if the Government continued its tyrannical behaviour.
Public organisations held agitations at various places in Visakhapatnam. All party leaders led agitations in Gajuwaka. Organisations held protests in Godavari districts. Jurnalist unions held protests in Vinukonda of Guntur district and in front of the collectorate in Prakasam district.
Journalist unions and public organisations held dharna in front of collectorate in Nellore District. Protest happened in front of RDO office in Kavali and in Atmakuru. Bike rally was held in Udayagiri. Agitation was held at Dr.BR Ambedkar's statue at district headquarters of Ananthapuram.Protests were also held in Rayadurgam and Kalyanadurgam. Journalist unions aldo held dharnas in Kurnool district.
