Hyderabad: YSRCP senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana said that entrepreneurs were wary of investing in Andhra Pradesh due to the rampant corruption and the self-serving attitude of the powers that be. He said unbridled corruption and demands for kickbacks are putting off investors from coming to Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing mediapersons, he said industries would mean more jobs for the youth. But, for the TDP leaders, they mean kickbacks. As a result, industrialists and entrepreneurs are scared of coming to Andhra Pradesh, he added.
Referring to the issue of disqualification of the YSRCP MLAs who have defected to the TDP without resigning their MLA posts, he said the Speaker was changing his word every hour. "This is unprecedented. I have never seen such a situation anywhere. The Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly have a great responsibility to uphold legislative ethics and conventions. How can holding of assembly sessions without disqualifying the turncoats be justified," he asked. The YSRCP would attend the assembly session if the turncoat MLAs were disqualified.
Referring to Fathima Medical College incident, he said the CM had given an assurance to solve the issue during Nandyal bypolls,, but had not done anything for the hapless students. He also dared Chandrababu Naidu to prove that YS Jagan's name figured in the Paradise Papers. He said the people were waiting to teach a lesson to Chandrababu for his misrule and the astounding welcome to YS jagan's Praja Sankalpa Yatra is proof of the people's support to the YSRCP.
