Hike ex-gratia package to Mushtaq:Jagan

Kurnool, Feb 16: Expressing concern over the apathy of TDP government towards the army jawan who died in the border, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has demanded to give a decent package to the family of the sepoy who hails from the minorities community.

After paying tributes to Jawan Mustaq Ahmed, he said ‘the cabinet has increased the exgratia from Rs 5 lakh to R 25 lakh only after I announced that I will be attending the funeral of the soldier who laid down his life in the Siachen Avalanche.
It is disheartening to note that the cabinet did not even pay homage to the soldier who hails from the minorities.

In the neighbouring Karnataka, besides ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakhs, the government has announced to give a house, a job to the kin and a farm to the jawan killed in the same accident. I demand that all those benefits should be extended to the family of Mustaq Ahmed as he hails from the minority community.’
The government should announce a better package as the jawan is a Muslim which instills confidence among the minorities, he said.
