Chittoor: Leader of Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday lambasted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over his failure to develop the state and keep his election promises.
Speaking at a Racchabanda program organized by the party MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy at Damalacheruvu in Chandragiri constituency as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan said that Chandrababu is forming mafia gangs all over the state in the name of Janmabhoomi committees. "Chandrababu ignored his own Chandragiri constituency all these years but goes on to claim he will build another Singapore," YS Jagan criticized. Thousands of people attended the Racchabanda program.
"We treat our native village as our own mother. Chandrababu's village Naravaripalle and the Seshapuram where he went to school are in Chandragiri constituency. The school where he studied is in ruins now. He never cared about his school during his tenure as Chief Minister for nine years previously or even now. Over 70 percent of the villages in the constituency are not getting irrigation or drinking water. This sorry state of affairs is an indication to the situation of villages throughout the state," he said.
