The family lives in Tummalacheruvu Agraharam. Her two children – 10-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter are both speech and hearing impaired. They cannot speak or hear. Both have been admitted to a school for the deaf and dumb and are there for the last six years. The doctors, who examined them, suggested that a surgery could make them hear and speak. However, she being poor, cannot afford the cost of the surgery. So, she sought YS Jagan’s help in giving a new lease of life to her children.
A visibly moved YS Jagan asked his aide to ensure that the children are medically examined and see if a surgery can make them hear and speak. YS Jagan is getting to meet countless such hapless people in need of help. But, most of them are ignored by the Government.
